My Hero Academia: The Legacy of Lost Numbers

Chapter 49: The Dragon Sanctuary

Ellen and Eva made their way to the island, anticipation buzzing in the air. As they approached, the sight that greeted them was both amusing and chaotic. Toshinori and Izana were hard at work, covered in dirt and surrounded by scattered debris. They had clearly been in the middle of an intense sparring session before getting roped into their cleanup duty.

"Oh my goodness," Ellen laughed, trying to hold back her amusement. "They really went all out this time."

Eva's eyes widened as she spotted Izana. For some inexplicable reason, a warm blush crept across her cheeks. She had always admired the strength and determination of the Midoriya brothers, but seeing Izana up close in the middle of his cleanup duties made her heart race. He was focused, serious, yet there was a playfulness in his demeanor as he tossed a stray piece of debris aside.

Toshinori glanced up and caught sight of his sisters-in-law approaching. "Hey! What brings you two here?" he called out, a grin breaking through the dirt on his face.

"Just checking in on you and Izana," Ellen replied, a teasing tone in her voice. "Looks like you've got quite the mess to clean up!"

Izana turned around, a smirk on his lips. "Yeah, well, we might have gotten a little carried away. But it's nothing we can't handle, right Toshinori?"

Toshinori rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah, just your typical sparring match gone wrong. But we'll make it right."

As Izana stepped closer to greet them, Eva felt her heart flutter again. "Hello," he said, a friendly smile on his face. "You must be Eva. I've heard a bit about you."

"Uh, hi!" she stammered, her cheeks still flushed. "It's nice to meet you. I mean, I've heard a lot about you too."

Ellen raised an eyebrow, noticing her sister's reaction. "Looks like someone's a little smitten," she teased, nudging Eva gently.

"Shut up!" Eva exclaimed, her face growing even warmer as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

Toshinori chuckled, clearly enjoying the moment. "Looks like you've made quite an impression, Izana," he said, winking at his brother.

Izana shrugged, a playful grin on his face. "I'm just trying to keep up with my brother's legendary status. But enough about me—what have you two been up to?"

Ellen and Eva exchanged glances, and Ellen spoke up. "We just wanted to check on you both and see how the cleanup was going. It looks like you've made a decent dent in it."

"Yeah, we've got a lot to do still," Toshinori replied, looking around at the debris. "But we'll get it done. You're welcome to join us if you want!"

Eva's heart raced at the thought of spending more time with Izana. "Um, sure! I'd love to help out," she said, surprising even herself with her eagerness.

Ellen smiled at her sister's enthusiasm. "Let's pitch in and get this place cleaned up. Then maybe we can all hang out once you're done?"

"Sounds like a plan," Izana replied, and the group fell into a rhythm, chatting and laughing as they worked together to clean up the remnants of their sparring match, each moment bringing them closer together.

As Shinwa and Kaori sat together in the serene garden, the aroma of tea wafted through the air, but their thoughts were elsewhere. The gentle rustle of leaves was soothing, yet their minds were heavy with concern.

Kaori: sipping her tea, her brow furrowed "I'm worried about Shoya. I haven't heard from him in a while, and with everything going on... I just hope he's okay."

Shinwa: nodding, his own expression filled with concern "I understand, but I'm just as worried about Ken. After what happened with Darek, I can't shake off this feeling that he's carrying a heavy burden."

Just then, Camie and Momo approached, their faces revealing a mix of relief and purpose.

Camie: smiling as she joined them "Hey, you two! We've got some updates on the boys."

Momo: sitting down, her tone serious "They're currently in their sanctuaries—Shoya in the Titan Sanctuary and Ken in the Dragon Sanctuary. They're both training and preparing for any potential threats."

Kaori visibly relaxed at this news, but a worried expression still lingered.

Kaori: "At least they're together in their own ways. But training alone can be dangerous. Are they being careful?"

Shinwa: glancing between Camie and Momo "Do they have support? I can't help but feel like they might push themselves too hard."

Camie: nodding reassuringly "They're both strong, but we should check in on them. I think Ken is focused on building the Dragon Army, while Shoya is likely helping the younger Titans. They might be okay, but it's always good to offer our support."

Momo: "Exactly. We should organize a visit to their sanctuaries. It'll not only lift their spirits but remind them they're not alone in this."

Kaori brightened at the idea, her concern momentarily alleviated.

Kaori: "That's a great plan! It'll mean a lot to both of them to see us. We can bring some food and supplies, maybe even a few gifts to boost their morale."

Shinwa: smiling, feeling reassured "Let's do it then. I'll gather some supplies, and we can make a proper day out of it."

As they reached the training grounds, Ken's excitement was palpable. He gestured for Bakugo to wait for a moment while he retrieved something special.

Ken: "Dad, I have a surprise for you!"

Bakugo raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. Ken quickly returned, holding a magnificent armor crafted from shimmering dragon scales, its surface swirling with hues of deep black and emerald green. It exuded an aura of power, crackling with dragon energy.

Ken: "I wanted to gift you this armor. It's infused with dragon energy, and it will enhance your Black Explosive form. It'll give you more strength and speed in battle."

Bakugo stared at the armor in awe, a mix of surprise and pride swelling within him.

Bakugo: "You made this for me? This is incredible, Ken!"

Ken nodded enthusiastically, his eyes shining.

Ken: "I wanted you to have something that symbolizes our bond as father and son and your role as my mentor. With this, you can channel dragon energy to amplify your explosive attacks. It'll make you even more formidable in battle."

Bakugo stepped closer, taking the armor into his hands and examining its craftsmanship. The scales shimmered in the light, reflecting their inherent magic.

Bakugo: "This is something else, kid. I can already feel the energy coming from it. You've really outdone yourself."

Ken blushed at the praise, scratching the back of his head.

Ken: "I just wanted to show you how much I appreciate everything you've done for me. I've learned so much from you, and I hope this can help you in your fights."

Bakugo smiled, a rare softening of his usual tough exterior.

Bakugo: "Thanks, Ken. This means a lot to me. I'll wear it with pride. Let's see how it works in action!"

As Ken helped his father put on the armor, Bakugo felt an exhilarating rush of energy coursing through him. The scales seemed to resonate with his own explosive quirk, amplifying it in ways he had never imagined.

Ken: "Now that you're ready, let's show the other dragons what we're made of!"

Bakugo smirked, cracking his knuckles, the armor fitted perfectly to his form.

Bakugo: "Alright, let's light things up! Time to show them who the real King is!"

With that, the two prepared to engage in a training session that would not only strengthen their bond but also showcase the power of their lineage. Together, they would inspire the dragons around them and prepare for the challenges that lay ahead.
