MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 104: Structure II

Structure II

When Eidrasil finished, the floor for questions was now open, and surprisingly, Lihanna was the first one to speak.

"I have a question." Everyone turned to her and Christopher nodded.

"Where exactly do us dragons fall in this equation?" She asked and Christopher tilted his head.

"Well, for the most part, you guys can still do what you usually do, and the same rules apply, if there is an issue or anything like that, you speak to the Overseers." He said simply and Lihanna smiled.

"For the most part?" Christopher smiled ever so slightly.

"Fair question, let me explain. The Dragons have a unique role in this place. To be blunt, you guys are the most exceptional group here. The rules apply to you the same, but that fact remains the same. That means at certain points, I'll call on you for things the others can't handle." The room was silent as everyone stared at him, and Lihanna tilted her head.

"And what would those 'certain points' entail?" She enquired. And Christopher nodded, acknowledging the gravity of the question.

"For one, your sheer strength and adaptability make you the ideal enforcers of balance. If something happens and my subordinates aren't suitable to deal with it and I'm not available, you'll be the ones to step up. So that could include dealing with powerful external threats or protecting critical areas and the like." He explained and Lihanna's gaze didn't waver.

"So we're your contingency?" She asked straightforwardly.

"I'd like to think of it more as my vanguard," Christopher clarified. "The Apex predators of old, strengthened immensely by my home. When the impossible needs to be done, that's When I'll need the dragons. But let's be clear, I won't call you for every little problem. Only things and situations that warrant your assistance." Hearing this, her gaze softened slightly.

"So we remain free and live as we always have, but step in as protectors when the Primordial Expanse is in danger?" She confirmed.

"Exactly," Christopher nodded.

After a long pause, Lihanna nodded and smirked faintly.

"Very well. The Dragons accept this role. We will offer our assistance when the situation calls for it." She said and sat back down and Christopher nodded with satisfaction, though he thought.

'Why is she talking like she could have said no?' He resisted the urge to shrug. Then, Peter suddenly stood up.

"I also have a question." He glanced around before saying.

"This structure is good and fine for Edenveil, but I can't help noticing there's no mention of Nihilheim… or us. I'm guessing there's a reason for that?" Christopher leaned back and crossed his arms.

"That's right. The structure we are discussing doesn't apply to Nihilheim or the Voidwalkers. You've got your own unique role, one that's separate from all this political juggling in Edenveil." Peter was silent and waited for him to elaborate.

"Nihilheim isn't Edenveil," Christopher said concisely. "It's not meant to be a bustling hub of civilization or politics. It's a domain of raw Void energy and filled with Void Creatures. A sanctuary for you and your people. You're there to embody and maintain The Balance between Creation and Oblivion. That's not something that needs bureaucracy. You lot operate differently, your loyalty to me and my clone on Nihilheim is already absolute and there are no disputes or territories to govern. Your existence alone keeps the place thriving." Peter nodded slowly.

"And when it comes to us aiding you?" He asked and Christopher smirked slightly.

"Well, I won't sugarcoat it. When I need Nihilheim's influence, you'll know. Whether it's summoning Void energy for battles, facing off against something tied to Oblivion, or even using your unique insight to guide me, you'll be the ones I call. But unlike the Dragons or others here, you're not enforcers or administrators. You're specialists. You do what no one else can do when it comes to the Void." At this, Peter smiled slightly.

"So we're your trump card?" Christopher smiled in return.

"That's right. You aren't part of the day-to-day grind. You're the ones who step in when things, mostly related to the Void, go off the rails. And so, Nihilheim is your space, your sanctuary. No one will disturb you there, and I trust you to keep it running as you see fit… within reason anyway." Peter leaned against the table with a thoughtful expression, though it was mostly obscured by his mask hood. Which didn't really matter since Christopher was now a 4d being.

"Well, I suppose that's fair. We don't need politics anyway. We aren't exactly the social types." This earned a few chuckles.

"Indeed. Just keep doing what you're doing. And when the time comes, I'll make sure you've got everything you need to fulfil your role." At this, Peter seemed satisfied. He nodded and sat back down.

After that, Christopher thought For a moment before saying.

"Other than that, I'm not going to force you lot to cuddle with each other unless the situation calls for it or it's something you desire. Yes you are all loyal to me now, but that doesn't remove the resentment some of you may feel for each other. However, while I also know that some issues might occur, I will not tolerate intentional acts made to harm one another. Such things will be punished severely." His tone became sharp and he let put a bit of his transcendent Aura.

Everyone in the room paled under the pressure, and it was no wonder. The difference between a being at the Apex rank and the grey or god rank was massive, and why wouldn't it be? Otherwise transcending would be simple.

He was a being that reached a realm many thought to be impossible, and as such, he had a certain presence to him. It was pretty subdued before since he was restraining his Aura, but now that he was letting it loose somewhat, the effects were palpable.

Just by existence, reality itself seemed to be an extension of him as space-time rippled like water and everyone shuddered.

This was the presence of someone that had attained transcendence. Their master.

After making sure he had passed his message across, Christopher restrained his Aura and leaned back into his seat.

"With that said, onto the next thing."

The meeting went on without any issues. No one seemed to have an issue with the new structure and most of their questions mostly had to do with things related to how resources would be allocated among them, what their duties would be when the time for their assistance would be required, and so on.

If there was anything else though, it would be that there was going to be the establishment of a new army.

Basically, based on anyone's interest, they could join this army that answered directly to the twins and everyone above them. As they had expressed their desire for a personal force with its loyalty sworn to them directly.

The requirements to join this army wasn't particularly complicated. One just needed to show a certain level of strength and competence and they would be taken in. Then they would be trained to a scary degree.

This army in terms of strength and importance would be right below the Dragons.

A few more miscellaneous things were discussed before the meeting was finally adjourned and everyone could leave. However, Christopher suddenly expressed his desire for Aisha to stay which… didn't catch her off guard, but her mother was surprised and slightly worried.

Still she left her daughter to their new Master and soon the room was empty besides Christopher's subordinates.

"I hope you understand that your new role isn't all that simple?" He asked and she nodded.

"If it's anything like what you had been doing before fighting the Void, then I imagine it will be quite time consuming." Hearing this, Christopher chuckled.

"Indeed, but well, the fate of the people in this place aren't the only ones you'll be managing." At this, Aisha raised a brow, seeming surprised, but the lack of surprise in her eyes suggested otherwise.

'Damn it's like her personality changed after she got enhanced.' Christopher thought but still continued to speak.

"I will explain the rest of the details basically, but just know that fate is a lot more robust and profound than we had previously believed, and our ability to manipulate it on this larger scale is one of the things that will determine how well we do in the future." The words sounded slightly ominous, but Aisha just nodded slowly.

"I see… so am I to expect people that can aid me? Because if you're going to be busy and things are as complex as you say then I might nor be able to keep up." It was a valid worry and Christopher acknowledged that.

"Indeed. That's why you will find people like you that also have an Affinity to fate and you will take them in as your Subordinates. You're the most competent Fate User in the place by far, but definitely not the only one." Hearing this, Aisha smirked a little.

"In that case, Master, how should I find these other Fate users?" She asked and Christopher scoffed.

"How else? Use fate to find those that can wield it." He said simply and she chuckled slightly before bowing.

"Will do, Master."
