Chapter 103: Structure
Structure
Christopher perked up when the door opened, and his gaze softened when he saw who it was.
Silver, Kim, Thanatos, Belladonna, Prism, and Lenax were all there. As well as Eidrasil and Sinestra, and even Titus and Aisha were there as well.
Christopher blinked and smiled. "Hey." He said simply.
Immediately, Kim and Silver rushed him like kids while Belladonna and Thanatos stood back and watched, Belladonna with a smile and Thanatos… well he was a skeleton.
Titus seemed elated while Aisha was staring at Christopher with a burning gaze.
The twins seemed to wake up at that moment as well, and for a brief moment, Christopher was buried under the affection of four of his subordinates.
"Uh, hi?" He was a but stunned, not expecting such a strong reaction from them.
"Master we were worried about you!" Chiara whined and Umbra nodded fiercely in agreement.
"You went on and fought the Void for so long! Eidrasil told us how you almost died on several occasions and it was her magic that was healing you! It may have been a few hours to us but to you it was days! You must have been exhausted and yet you were still doing so much by yourself." Kim said angrily, but her eyes were filled with relief.
"And that's not even mentioning just how long you were constantly weaving fate to make sure things went according to plan. You were at ut for weeks without sleep!" Silver also chided him.
"Aw come on it wasn't that bad." Christopher retorted.
Deadpan stare ×12
Christopher coughed.
"Okay maybe I was a little hard on myself. But hey I'm fine now. And all I needed was some sleep." Christopher said and Belladonna rolled her eyes.
"You've been asleep for a week master." She said calmly and Christopher nearly sputtered.
"What do you mean a week?!?!" He exclaimed and all of them sighed.
"Master, the mental fatigue that was weighing down on you was immense. Staying up for that long alone is a no no. Not to mention that you were continuously sifting through and changing the fate of everyone, and then you immediately got into a huge battle which required intense concentration. It's a miracle you were even able to fight." Eidrasil mumbled while rolling her eyes.
That's when Christopher realised that he had actually been playing a very dangerous game. He vaguely recalled some of them trying to convince him to rest during his grand plan but he always just brushed their worries aside.
'That… was actually pretty stupid on my part.' He sighed. He'd been lucky.
"Sorry for worrying you guys." He apologised and they all went silent before Thanatos spoke. Enjoy more content from empire
"It's alright Master. Just… please be more mindful of your health. No one here wants to see you harmed." Then he lingered.
"Also if you die we all die so…" Belladonna hit his side not-so-subtly and he just shrugged.
"In any case. We're happy you're awake." She finished and everyone nodded.
Christopher was silent for a moment, then he looked at Titus and Aisha and tilted his head.
"Why are you guys here?" His words caused Titus to stumble and Aisha's mouth to twitch.
"Mrs Belladonna… invited us…" Titus spoke like he'd been stabbed and Belladonna nodded.
Christopher blinked.
'Well I did take him in as my Disciple so I guess it makes sense. As for Aisha.' Christopher looked at the Elven girl with some curiosity. He could clearly see the wat Fate runes migrated towards her and invisible to most, there were dozens of threads all sticking to her fingertips.
'She's probably… no definitely the most proficient in fate here besides me.' He sighed and stared up for a moment.
"So what has changed since I was out?" He decided to ask and Silver grinned.
"Well, you can come find out."

Standing on the balcony, Christopher stared with slightly wide eyes. His Dimension, the Primordial Expanse, had clearly changed a lot.
He was in the tallest building I'm the Haven of the Enlightened and he was able to overlook the entire city easily.
After all the enhancements since he got it, the city had grown significantly, basically quadrupling in size. Thereally were more buildings and each of them looked even more exquisite than the last time, and there were more than a few floating structures.
Moreover, previously the city had been completely empty before. But now that he had assimilated the entire world population into it which consisted of billions of lifeforms, it had now turned into a sprawling metropolis.
Christopher observed as people went about. Judging by how they seemed a bit rushed, he could tell they were still trying to get settled into their new lives. Which understandably would take a bit of time considering that Edenveil didn't have a clear structure yet.
He then looked up and saw that in the sky, Nihilheim was looming quietly in the distance. As usual, the Void counterpart of Edenveil had no presence to it, however now that Void energy was now suffering Mana, everyone could feel its presence with a bit of concentration.
And off to the side, the moon Christopher had almost deleted had been restored to its full glory And even past that. And interesting enough, it seemed to be split into two, one part was pitch black and the other was a soft, beautiful blue.
"While you were asleep we were doing our best to organise the structure of the Dimension to make it so that it was easier to manage and the like. Though we've only been able to come up with temporary measures in the meantime." Sinestra spoke and Christopher tilted his head.
"You could have done something more permanent Though." He stated and Sinestra nodded.
"We could have. But we wanted you to be the one to do it. It's your home after all." He answered concisely and Christopher smiled faintly. He'd been expecting that.
He continued to look over the city and sighed. This was his home. On one hand, he felt a heart responsibility weigh on his shoulders. He was in charge of every single life in this place, and he would need to do everything he could to keep them safe and happy. A heavy responsibility indeed.
On the other hand, He felt a sense of pride. Being able to get so many people in his dimension. Sure 90% didn't have a choice, and he pulled a somewhat hypocritical move with the dragons. But the fact was that everyone here was thriving. And the Dimension would only get bigger in the future.
'It's a lot to take in no doubt. And it would probably be hell to manage.' He smiled softly, but inwardly he was laughing.
'That's why I have subordinates!'
***
The Haven of the Enlightened had many buildings with all sorts of uses, so it wasn't odd that a building dedicated to holding meetings between high class individuals was also available.
The meeting hall was large and opulent with all sorts of exquisite decorations which any of which would cause wars within a lower class world.
The Mana and Void energy in the air was rich and suffused within everything and nourished everyone that was there.
In the center of the room was a large round table with a few dozen seats, which was quite a lot. But acceptable considering the number of people that would be using them.
At the head of the table in the most luxurious seat, Christopher could be seen sitting there calmly. Standing behind him were the manifestations of Sinestra and Eidrasil, and the seats on his left and right were taken by his subordinates.
Then farther out around the table were the leaders of Each race and those closest to them. Sylvaris and her daughter were on one side. The Emperor and the three family heads were there, the Oni, Dwarves, Centaurs, and so on. Every race, whether significant or small, were all seated at the table and watching Christopher silently.
Also, Peter who had taken charge of the Voidwalkers was there as well, though he wore a dark cloak that obscured his face. A habit it seemed. And Lihanna was there too, with Zephyr standing behind her, her human form one of incredible beauty with crystal like purple hair and four horns on her head, she had a bit of an amused look in her eyes.
Many of them seemed to be feeling a bit complicated, but the awe was evident.
Christopher observed everyone for a few seconds before saying lightly.
"Aright then. Let's get started." And that commenced the meeting.
Lady Eidrasil stepped forward with a soft smile and spoke.
"Today marks a turning point for this realm and our existences. What was once a world of fractured powers and races is now a unified purpose under the guidance of our Master and The Primordial Arbiter, Master Christopher. This meeting will be used to discuss the structure of the Primordial Expanse and how it will operate from now on. And our Arbiter, will begin to speak." Eidrasil stepped back, and Christopher stood up. His presence calm and casual as usual. His clothes somehow expressed authority without the usual extravagance and pomp.
He glanced around the room again and smiled slightly.
"Well, I'm not gonna lie, this is a bit weird for me too," He began, his tone professional but undeniably casual. "I'm sure many of you are both pretty confused and doubtful. And I don't blame you, even if the situation has been explained to you there's still many things you'd be confused about. And then being told to work together when many of you were enemies in The past? I'd have questions too." It was joke, and it surprisingly worked.
There were a few snickers and the tension visibly eased, and after a but Christopher continued, his expression earnest.
"But here's the thing, I didn't bring you all here to take away your freedom or make you slaves. Granted the forces loyalty you all feel towards me says otherwise. But I brought you guys here for two reasons, the first reason, and my original reason, was to get stronger. Back then everyone in my Dimension was merely a means to an end." He sighed.
"But after everything, turns out there's a second reason. I believe that this place can be something greater than just a collection of factions and individuals. It can be a home where everyone has a purpose and a chance to thrive." He paused and glanced at Sinestra and Eidrasil.
"I'm not perfect, I'm not gonna pretend like I know everything or have all the answers. But I promise you this, I'll do everything I can to make this place the best it can be. That means listening to you lot, working with you, maybe screwing up here and there, but we'll figure it out." He smiled and looked back to Eidrasil.
She smiled back and stepped forward once more. The tension in the room had eased visibly and there were still some doubtful gazes, but now there was hope mixed with them.
"Alright then. First and foremost, I'll start with the structure that will be implemented starting from now on." She inhaled slightly.
"Our Master, naturally is the Absolute Ruler of this place and holds ultimate Authority, however, he will not Micromanage, but his words are final, especially in matters of extreme importance." Everyone nodded, not surprised by such an arrangement.
"Then, directly below him will be myself and my Colleague Sinestra and you will refer to us as the primary Overseers. Besides acting as Master's advisers, we will also be in charge of certain aspects of the Dimension." She glanced at Sinestra.
"Sir Sinestra will be the Overseer of resource distribution, territory management, and ensuring the natural balance of the Realm.
"I on the other hand will be responsible for the flow and distribution of energy, life cycles, and the wellbeing of inhabitants. As well as a mediator in the case of conflict arising." It seemed surprising at first, but not really. Sinestra and Eidrasil were the oldest and wisest people here, so Christopher thought it was only natural to put them directly below him in the leadership table.
Eidrasil then went on to explain how there would be a Creation of several sects each belonging to a certain group, most of these sects would be headed by the main members of Christopher's cohort.
And they were as follows
Silver
Role: Overseer of peace and order and is there to ensure order among the Dimension's residents.
Sect Focus: Order, local security
Umbra and Chiara
Role: Guardians of the Dimension's defense systems and its military strength.
Sect Focus: Combat training, defensive operations, and war strategies.
Belladonna
Role: Overseer of bloodlines and connections, maintaining the harmony between races and monitoring internal politics.
Sect Focus: Diplomacy, governance, and enhancement of racial attributes.
Thanatos
Role: Overseer of transitions, ensuring balance between life and death.
Sect Focus: Handling souls, necromancy, and dealing with Void-related anomalies.
Kim
Role: Overseer of communication and speed-based operations, ensuring swift execution of orders and rapid responses to crises.
Sect Focus: Movement, intelligence gathering, and spatial logistics.
Aisha
Role: Overseer of Fate's influence within the Dimension, guiding critical decisions and ensuring the Dimension's future aligns with Christopher's goals.
Sect Focus: Predictions, fate manipulation, and safeguarding pivotal events.
The Race leaders were to report to them immediately if something was an issue. And The Twins being head of the military might seem unwise at first considering their age. But the two of them were surprisingly good tacticians. Christopher knew this because all the times they sparred, they were always the ones that came up with the strategies. Moreover during the war with the Void they had been the ones to organise how the armies would arrange themselves after being taken into Christopher's Dimension. Also they were very enthusiastic about military matters, so he made them the heads of the military.
As for Aisha gaining a sect of her own, he only saw it fitting for it to exist considering how important Fate was, and there was the fact that he couldn't be the one to control fate all the time. As such, he needed someone reliable, and she was a good fit.
Moreover, there was still more.
