Chapter 113: Singularity
The next person stepped up.
Sett handed him a Tomb Heart. But the moment the Door saw it, it shrieked. "Don't throw that disgusting thing into me!"
Sett was taken aback.
"Don't! Don't! Don't!" Its hands clenched. "That thing is too disgusting!"
Sett frowned.
It was true that Tomb Hearts tasted disgusting, but was there a need for such a drastic reaction?
There is something more to this.
"It's a Tomb Heart," Sett said. "It is a good thing."
When you want someone to tell you about something, it was better to make a wrong statement instead of asking a question.
If you say something wrong, they will feel compelled to correct you to show they have better knowledge than you. Whereas if you ask them for the knowledge straightforwardly, they would feel an urge to protect their own knowledge and keep it for themselves.
The moment he called it a good thing, the Door Spirit shrieked even louder.
"A good thing? A Tob Heart is a good thing?! NO. It is not a good thing for everyone!"
Sett's expression sank. "Why would it be bad? It made me much stronger. Without them, I will be as weak as a mortal."
"You are different!" The Door said. "It is fine if you eat it, because you are a being that is already dead.
"Your physical body is filled with Death Energy and Life Energy at the same time. That makes you completely different to begin with, but more than that, you almost have the infantile foundations for a God Body. So it is fine if you eat it."
Sett's heart skipped a beat. This Door sure seemed to see through everything!
A God Body? What was that?
"A God Body? I am not even close to one."
"Yeah, right. You are not even close, but the foundation is there. Your body is completely different from anything else I've seen."
Sett's eyes twinkled. "Why is it fine if I eat it and not fine for others? It is obviously fine. Even my wife grew stronger after eating it."
Zainah blushed and looked away, but Zarah seized the chance to tease her. "Wife, he says."
Zainah smacked her over the head. This time, Zarah actually felt the pain as well.
The Door Spirit pointed at them, then at Sett. "You might think feeding them Tomb Hearts makes them stronger, but in reality, you're ruining their life potential."
Sett's frown deepened. "How?"
"Body Refinement is an art! Tomb Hearts are just resources, not a proper method."
The Door Spirit's voice grew sharper.
"When someone eats a Tomb Heart without practicing Body Refinement, they use the raw energy and forcefully improve their body. That forceful body refining method is what you call the Tomb Raider pathway."
It sighed. That was far too destructive to the body's potential!
"Even I don't have a Body Refinement method, so if I let one Tomb Heart enter my body for even a second, it would ruin me!"
Sett frowned. A Tomb Heart ruins a person's potential?
Then what should they do?
Was it ruining his own potential?
"… How am I different?"
"I don't exactly understand what is going on with you. Your body has developed an Innate Body Refinement Art. It's underdeveloped, but it's there. And it is a much more refined method than the Tomb Raider method. That's why you're far stronger than others of your species."
Sett blinked.
Is it talking about the Tomb Walker pathway?
Then, was Tomb Walker pathway a more advanced Body Refinement method than Tomb Raider pathway?
He didn't even have to ask.
The Door analyzed by itself.
"Hm. Your Axiom is quite something too. That must be why your body can balance Life and Death Energies. Usually, only God Bodies can completely harmonize Life and Death."
Then, its voice sharpened in curiosity. "You reincarnated into your own dead body using that Axiom, I assume. You must have had a body full of Death Energy at that point… and somehow rekindled Life Energy from scratch.
"And now, it's in perfect balance with Death Energy. What a fascinating state. Even I don't think I can replicate your state before achieving Godhood."
"…"
"Oh, the balance is also so perfect. It is already at complete harmonization—you are neither alive, nor dead. You are a unique form!"
The Door Spirit reached out to touch him, but he stepped aside. It didn't seem to mind.
"Well, what else do you know about me?"
"This harmony is the result of three things, if I am right—reincarnation, and training in two pathways, Tomb Raider and Crypt Walker. You must have fused those two destructive approaches to create a softer training method."
"Yes… I call it the Tomb Walker pathway."
"That is your training method, then. That makes you different from the rest. Even if you use Tomb Hearts to grow stronger, you are not destroying your potential that much."
The Door analyzed Sett.
Other people's bodies would just get destroyed if those two destructive training methods tried to fuse into one. Even Sett's own body should not have been able to handle two training methods working at once.
The Door Spirit came to a conclusion.
There is another power hidden in this youth's body, a power even I can't see.
That was smoothing out the destructive powers of two training methods. That had ended up creating a much better body refinement method by accident. That hidden power was also guiding the energies inside Sett's body with needle precision.
"The Tomb Walker pathway is your body refinement method, but there is a method even above it inside your body. This method, whatever it is, is of such a high quality that even I can't see through it.
"It seems to be trying to attain singularity, but due to a lacking amount of energy, it is failing."
The Door was genuinely in admiration. One didn't meet such talented mortals often!
When was the last time I saw a mortal like him?
Ah. It's been so long.
"..."
Sett, on the other hand, became interested and wary. Was it talking about his…
Limitless Evolution Art?
"What do you mean singularity?"
The Door Spirit took a deep breath. "Singularity is singularity!"
"Singularity?"
"Yes but even if I tell what it is to you, it will be useless. My advice to you is to just awaken all the abilities of your Innate Art as soon as possible, that should help you achieve that Singularity state. It will make you much stronger."
Even though the Door refused to answer, Sett had a complex mind. He began thinking and came to a conclusion as to what this "Singularity" could be.
A thought echoed in Sett's mind.
He had already fused two of the three major pathways into one—Crypt Walker and Tomb Raider—to create Tomb Walker.
Then, what if he could fuse Tomb Walker pathway with Axiom Holder pathway?
Won't all three of his Pathways become one?
Won't they reach singularity?
Then there was Limitless Evolution Art—his own Innate Life Path.
What if even that could be fused into the Singularity?
Would something happen then?
"Heh. Look at how excited you are!" Then, the Door suddenly became startled. "Oh no, I gave you a lot of information for nothing!"
Sett ignored it and clapped his hand.
The Door's immediate uses are over. It is still useful but not that significant.
There was another way to grow stronger much faster in this Tomb.
He wanted to go try it right now!
That would not only increase his strength, Sett also had a feeling that he might get a glimpse at the Singularity.
All of the flying beasts began to land on the desert below with a mere mental command.
Then, Little Peckington also followed.
The Door shouted: "Are you done?! Throw some more things in!"
"Don't worry, I will come back in a few hours."
Sett's gaze was now on something else.
He looked around at the people still waiting for their chance and nodded at them.
He waved his hand.
Water, food, and tables appeared slowly out of bluish gateways and Tomb Slaves arranged a small feast in minutes.
"I will be back here in a few hours. I have something else to do for now. Until then, enjoy the feast and remain in order."
The Tomb Slaves slowly withdrew back into Sett's Inner Tomb.
Lord Burrhen walked out after the scene was emptied and transformed into the giant Wyrm.
The crowd gasped in fear at the sight.
Sett and Zainah jumped onto it while Zarah remained on Little Peckington.
Sett looked down at the people, golden eyes casting a shadow over them. "I wouldn't do anything funny if I were you. I have people watching over this area."
Then, Lord Burrhen flew into the clouds.
Little Peckington followed, Zarah shouting at it.
"Where are we going?" Zainah asked.
Sett gave her lips a soft kiss.
"You always have to do this…" She blinked and enjoyed it before looking up at him again.
He answered cheekily: "We are going into a Tomb within a Tomb. This Kemet Tomb we are in is an A-tier, and it has a few D, C, and B tier Tombs within it. We will be going into a C-tier Tomb."
He needed to kill some Tier 3 beings to awaken his next Limitless Evolution Art. And wiping out the few B-tier Tombs remaining in Kemet should help him do that.
Egrith and his family had gotten Tier 3 Tomb Hearts, that meant this place had Tier 3 Tombs!
Yet, for now, Sett didn't want to enter B-tier Tombs. His chance to grow stronger quickly was not in B-tier, but in C-tier!
He just wanted to do two things before anything.
One—he wanted to absorb a few Tombs into his Inner Tomb.
That would increase his Territory, and if he had enough Territory, he could use that to awaken his own Axiom's—True Form. Two—he wanted to awaken another Limitless Evolution Art.
And he would enter the B-tier Tombs for that after reaping enough benefits from C-tier ones.
Sett hadn't been impatient to awaken another Limitless Art before learning about the possibility of fusing all pathways, but now, he had a distinct feeling that he needed to awaken it as quickly as possible.
No, I am just too curious what it is.
Axiom's True Form, Tomb Walker, and Limitless Evolution Art!
What would happen if he used them all at once?
Sett felt anticipation bud throughout his heart.
A grin couldn't help but stretch across his face.
Soon enough, Burrhen plunged back into the desert from the sky.
On the desert, a solitary tree stood silently.
And near its roots, there was a tree hollow.
Sett and Zainah waited for Zarah to catch up, and then entered the Tree Hollow without hesitation. They vanished and entered a different World.
Sett breathed in the salty smell of sea.
Then felt Lord Burrhen fly through the air with them in his back. He looked back to find Zarah following behind him with a gaping mouth and wide eyes.
Zainah looked around with just as much awe.
It was the sea.
Sett, on the other hand, smirked.
My sea, my land, my sky, bitches!!!
