Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Ghost flute of Karakura
Karakura was a quaint japanese town which seemed normal on the surface. It crawled with varying individuals like a goat-beard doctor, to a girl whose mind seemed out of this world. In this town exists a local legend, the Ghost Flute of Karakura. Everyday at random intervals of the night, a flute melody plays in the night bringing a calming feeling. No one has seen this player, not even a man selling candy in clogs.
However, the man in question was busy in the night, and this night would seem busier than ever.

"This town really is a spiritual hotspot" muttered a youth clothed in something that could pass for ancient clothing. A read and black hanfu with a red cloth belt and ribbon tying it all together. At his waist was a slender blade of unusual make, and an ornately carved flute specifically fitted for him. In his hand was an old wine jar, swipped from a crochety old man hours before. This mans name was Kanami Amenagawa, an otherworld with the name of John.
Kanami when he first came into this world was initially confused, and excitement and despair soon came after. 'Why must I be sent to a dangerous world!' he shouted. As if answering his plea, a female voice resounded in his ear. [Don't worry host, Eve is here to help]. The system, as was the familiar term it called itself, promised him the ability to gain the powers often locked in the fictional world.
He was so excited and immediately withdrew a character, a familiar one by the name of Wei Wuxian. It was a character he knew due to his sister making him watch and read some of the material. A cultivator that is the founder of the 'demonic path'. He felt it would be useless in this world, and that seemed long ago.
Now, he resides in the night. He takes his duty of fighting off hollows who are there to develope 'wholes', souls who are still intact. Right now, he is sitting right by a little girl with blonde hair tied up in pigtails, and wearing a small green dress. Located next to her was a flowery memorial surrounded by little effigies spinning in delight.
"Is that how its done sir?" asked the little girl as she twirled her finger, the talisman following her motion. "Yep, its not hard, especially if your a spirit" he said as he taught her a neat trick of imbuing her spirit into the talisman to control it. It was something Wei Wuxian has done many times to spy on others, or to cheat on tests. In fact, Kaname has used it for that purpose in certain lessons, or to catch up on notes he missed.
As he was playing around, a screech could be heard in the night. 'All right' though Kaname as he plucked a glossy, black flute from his waist with a red tassel on the end. "Hey, you should hide behind me" he said to the spirit as she ran behind his visage as a strange beast came into view.
It resembled a quadrapedal creature and had a bone white mask on its face. It looked similar to a lizard in shape, and its maws were like that of demonic beasts. What Kaname was worried about was the abundant amount of resentment hanging on its frame. Kaname put his flute to his lips as a melody began to pierce the dark.
The melody was elegant and refined, and one could tell that the person playing was an expert. However, the monster, the Hollow, was not of the same feeling. The hollow began to squirm as the resentful energy around it began to swirl and cover the beast. The energy was now controlling the beast and warding it away, covered in minute yet potent injuries. It swerved from its path and the girl, unlike fate intended, was spared from the hollows jaws.
"Heh, now for it to go towards the Kurosaki's" he muttered under his breath, and he could sense someone going nearby to their house. "So Rukia is making it there on time, nice. Now to watch the plot be set in motion, and then wreck it all later" Kaname thought to himself as he followed the hollow in the shadows.
He then saw the hollow approach the clinic, and the critical moment was to arrive anytime he thought. He then brought forth a human shaped talisman, and imbued within it a spell. He saw a hole be blown through the building, and Ichigo was lying on the street. Rukia, defending him, jumps infront of him to protect him from the hollow. Blood begin to gush from her wound, and Ichigo was covered in little droplets.
It was a quaint little scene Kaname witnessed, the oncoming of Ichigos' journey. He then threw forth the talisman, attaching it to Ichigos back. The resentment began to curl and circulate around Ichigo but went unnoticed. "Hey!" he heard Ichigo shout as he watched the random stranger go infront of him to take the hit.
"Do you wish for the power to protect your family?" uttered the Shinigami girl, Rukia Kuchiki. Ichigo had a look of contemplation in his eyes. "Yes" he responded, and rukia took her blade and said "Then pierce thyself with the Zanpaku-to, and inherit the powers of the shinigami" said Rukia as Ichigo took the sword, the zanpaku-to, and pierced himself with the sword.
An enormous amount of spiritual power, reiryoku, flowed from ichigos body as he done the shihakusho of the shinigami, with an oversized zanpaku-to over his back. It was like a giant knife, and it radiated reiryoku as if it was a rushing river. He took the zanpakuto in his hands and swung at the hollows mask and the beast was split in two, purifying the soul within its corpus. The resentment still hung in the air, stagnate. Kaname then weaved a hand seal and began to slowly collect the energy within his golden core.
It was slow work, purposely done that way to avoid detection of the shinigami and her spiritual sense. After a little while, the area was devoid of the resentful energy of the hollow, now stored in Kanames core. The energy was rampaging, hoping to be set free. Kaname brought in under control and circulated the energy through out his body, letting his body to slowly absorb the energy. "Well that was an interesting sight" Kaname thought as the eventful night was brought to a close.
"Well, the story begins I suppose" muttered Kaname as he quickly went home after the event. He looked out the window at the moon, casting its light in great splendor. He sighed as he new the events to come. "Its not like Im gonna stay in this world long, just enough so my disapperance can be somewhat explained" muttered Kaname as his strange system [Eve] showed up beside him.
[Whats wrong Kaname?] asked Eve as she hovered around him like a certain blue pixie. "Nothing, just thinking of how my new life will go" said Kaname as he got dressed in his sleeping clothes. [You wished for power and wanted to lead a fulfilling life right? That should be possible with what you have now] said Eve. "I know, just thinking is all" Kaname muttered as he slowly drifted to sleep. Eve on the other hand was thinking on her own, a sign of sentience not many systems could claim to have.
['You're gonna have an interesting life ahead of you, Kaname. As for me, I wish to be there with you to witness your journey'] Eve thought to herself as her screen disappered from the world, indicating a great sleep. In the time of the night, a great wheel is being set in motion. The destiny of the three worlds of was set in motion and many beings of great power. The monk who calls the true name smiled in anticipation, a man garbed in white could feel the wheel of destiny turn, and the great king on the hollow worlds throne trembled in delight. One thought seemed to be shared among them 'The world shall change' they thought as destiny set in motion.
