Mr. Billionaire's Second Chance Bride

When Zephyrine returned home, she was told by one of her favorite maids that her grandpa had gone out of the city. Grandpa Cloutier had always been against their relationship so when she broke up with him, she thought he would be happy, but he wasn't, with what he did, it showed he wasn't.

Zephyrine forced a few spoons before she retired to her bedroom. She showered and then jumped on the bed.

In a blink of an eye, it was the next day. Each day was so short lived. This was the second day in Zephyrine's new life and she would be getting married today, but not to Nathaniel but his uncle.

She dressed up and then went to the living room.

"How dare you embarrass our family yesterday?" Eleanor's crazy self yelled at Zephyrine the moment she got to the living room. But was she angry because of the embarrassment or because their plan went the other way?

Zephyrine sneered, Eleanor and her mother, Sapphire, was Zephyrine's second target. She would make them suffer and regret all that they've done to her.

"You have no right to question me,"

Eleanor's face turned red with anger, unable to control it. She ran towards Zephyrine angrily, but she got swept away by Zephyrine with just one push. Eleanor has always been a person who loses her temper very quickly and her mother was the mastermind of all her daughter's behavior. But she wouldn't consider Eleanor, she would punish them both.

Huang Xinyi winced in pain on the floor. Sapphire ran to Huang Xinyi seeing the situation.

"How dare you?" Sapphire raised his hand to slap her but she got slapped instead. Sapphire moved a few steps back due to the unexpected slap.

"You haven't learned your lesson to never cross me," Zephyrine walked away from the duo. She had her breakfast and sat down waiting for her Mr. Billionaire. After a while, a honk came from outside. Zephyrine knew that was her cue to leave.

She walked outside triumphantly. The duo couldn't do anything when they saw the new version of Zephyrine they crossed. They were amazed, but that was not going to be the end.

They watched as Zephyrine got into a car and it drove off right in front of them. Sapphire's eyes flashed with a cunning smile. Was that another plan of theirs?

Kendrick Desjardins drove to the marriage court. Throughout the whole drive there, they didn't utter a single word to each other. They were supposed to be using that medium to get to know each other, but they were occupied with different thoughts. That shows that they don't have similar interests, but there is still time.

The car stopped in front of the marriage court. They both went into the court and there was no one in the queue. Zephyrine was quite happy that she didn't have to wait.

Zephyrine stared at the marriage paper in front of her. The weight of her decision weighed her down. How would her grandfather react when he finds out that she got married without his consent?

No doubt that the news of their marriage will travel around as soon as they sign the contract.

Kendrick has never been understanding and patient, but this time he was on his highest patience level, he didn't rush her. He also took days to think of his decision before he did it.

With a deep breath, Zephyrine took the pen and put her name down on the paper. Her name was written boldly and neatly.

The magistrate handed the paper to him and he signed also. The magistrate got the marriage paper officialized before he handed it to them.

Zephyrine was quick to collect it from him, which made Kendrick make a funny sound. Zephyrine realized that she must have acted stupid, but she wasn't concerned.

While they were walking out of the court, Kendrick made a call to someone.

Zephyrine sat in the car waiting for Kendrick to finish his calls. Kendrick hung up seeing that Zephyrine was looking at him through the window. He got into the car.

But before he drove he spoke, "I asked the media to announce our marriage, are you okay with it?"

Zephyrine knew she might have a bad reputation because of that. Everyone knew that Nathanielwas her fiance, but the next day she broke up with him, she got married to his uncle. That was a completely complicated relationship.

She nodded and with that, Kendrick drove Zephyrine back to her house.

Zephyrine would have gone to work instead, but she was not in the mood. She was just regaining her energy, and she shouldn't waste it much.

Unexpectedly, when Zephyrine arrived home, she met Granda Cloutier in the living room with the other family members. They all stared smugly at her, except for Grandpa Cloutier whose face was down. It seemed like he was doing something important on his phone…more important than his granddaughter.

Sapphire  was waiting for the old man to start but he didn't. So she started, "Zephyrine, who was that man who came to meet you this morning? And where were you? Are you trying to tell us that you've been in a secret relationship with him?"

Zephyrine rolled her eyes at how quickly she formed it all. Zephyrine looked at her Grandfather but she couldn't read his expression because his head was down. Seeing that he was silent, she thought he wanted her to explain.

"I have not been in a secret relationship with anyone. And I broke up with him because he-"

"Cheated," Eleanor completed the sentence for her, "Sister, stop lying through those teeth of yours. Grandfather will announce his verdict." Eleanor winked at Zephyrine secretly. There was no need to hide their intentions.

Zephyrine knuckles turned white with frustration. Her grandfather's silence was killing her.

Mattew chirped in, "Zeph I am disappointed in you. You always want to make Eleanor and Sapphire look bad, but it turns out you are the bad one." Mattew shook his head. Who gave him the right to call Zephyrine with such an endearing name?

Zephyrine saw that the situation was turning bad. They all want to know who she was with, and she wants this whole accusation thing to end.

"I got married!" 

Everyone in the living room gazed at Zephyrine with a surprised look. They thought that she was going crazy because of the breakup.

Zephyrine waited to see the old man's reaction. Grandpa Cloutier stood up all of a sudden and walked to Zephyrine. Everyone thought he was going to slap her, but the next thing they heard made them turn nuts instead.

He held her shoulder, "I am so proud of you! You did what your father couldn't do."
