Chapter 3: Monia Meets and Instantly Dislikes the Male Lead.

Carter: “So you’re the woman that my sister kidnapped? I can’t believe that I have to praise her taste in women…” He said with a whistle.

Monia: “…”

Monia was beautiful... that much could not be denied. Despite being born in America, she had pure white, natural hair, with even red eyes to boot. If this was a vampire novel, Monia would surely be one of those night stalkers. Perhaps the story would then be flipped, with Monia kidnapping and chasing after Risa…

Though she hadn’t met Risa yet, going by how handsome Carter looks, Monia was happy in her heart. In the novel, Risa was said to be beautiful as well, with stark black hair, and lovely purple eyes. Carter looking the same meant that he was truly part of the same lineage as Risa.

Monia: “It was your sister who kidnapped me? And for what reason?” She asked.

Carter: “Why should I bother to inform you of that? Silly woman, you best just try to please my sister. Perhaps she’ll be too busy fucking you to actually do her job, and then I can take over the family.” He said with a dismissive laugh before leaving the room after getting bored.

Monia: “…”

“Even if I wasn’t a lesbian, I wouldn’t fall in love with this man…” She thought with a sour taste in her mouth. Though in the original story, Carter and Monia lived a happy marriage, there was an after story. In that after story, Carter was revealed to be cheating on Monia with various women, leading to the woman ending her own life out of grief.

It wasn’t because Carter betrayed her, though. Instead, Monia had realized that Risa truly did really love her, and she had missed out on true love. Even after being betrayed, there was no happiness for Monia. Since Risa had died from some small illness that she didn’t have the money to treat. Thus, she ended her own life.

System: “Was he always like this?” She asked. The System had read the story, yes. But the story and this world are two separate things. As such, she was somewhat confused by how the male lead was acting. After all, him acting like this was only offhandedly mentioned in the novel, but the System was still a bit too young to understand nuanced things like this.

Monia: “This is his real personality. Carter had charmed Monia with a facade, and only so that he could get one over on his sister. Frankly, that story was trash. Trash that I read whenever I wanted to recall how you shouldn’t write a story.” She replied with a laugh.

Monia, in her original life, had always wanted to be a writer. But her work, which was only supposed to be a side gig while she wrote, ended up becoming her entire life. She was too good at it, so Monia had to take on so much more responsibility than any of her coworkers.

Of course, this meant that Monia secretly made more money than anyone else besides the CEO, but it also prevented her from having any time to write her novels. The plan was to work for a few more years, and then use the money she made to live for ten years without needing a job.

Monia was so assured of that plan of hers, so she would rarely spend any money on herself at all. Unfortunately, she ended up dying in a funny way. If Monia had that she’d have an early death, she wouldn’t have been so frugal.

“This life… I guess that I can try to be a writer!” She thought with a happy smile on her face. As the woman continued to sit down on her bed, presenting a big smile, the maids were beyond confused. “Is this girl mentally stable?” One of the maids said in her mind. Regardless of mental stability, Monia was fully intent on seducing Risa. That is her plan, after all…
