Chapter 2: She Was Reincarnated Into a Silly Beauty.
“Right, cause who else would be this kind to the person they kidnapped…” She thought with a sigh. Looking into the mirror, Monia knew exactly who she had reincarnated into. The woman didn’t need the System to tell her this at all.
System: “Monia, you’ve been reincarnated into…” Her words were cut off.
Monia: “I know, you don’t need to say it.” She scoffed.
System: “…”
For what reason did she need some weird and childish sounding System to tell her what was up? “I am now the spitting image of the main character in that novel…” She thought with an oddly happy tone. Her happiness wasn’t that surprising, considering how that novel was praised for having such a beautiful woman depicted on the cover. And Monia was now that very same beautiful woman.
The character, bearing the same first name as her, Monia Regidale, was a silly girl. Kidnapped by the rich CEO, Risa Granda, Monia was very aggrieved, as anyone would be. In the original story, Monia had fallen in love with Risa’s brother, Carter.
Working together, Carter and Monia had overthrown Risa, and Carter took over the family business. Risa was left to die in a ditch, and those two got married and live happily ever after. “What utter bullshit.” Monia thought with a scoff.
System: “Oh, so you’ve read this story… Great! Monia, just sit tight and wait for Carter to look your way. Then you’ll have a very easy life.” She proposed.
Monia: “I won’t be doing that, silly system.” She said with a dismissive giggle.
It goes without saying, but Monia was lying down on the bed, discussing with the System in her mind. The maids that guarded the room, both of which were there to prevent the woman from escaping, did not hear a peep of Monia’s and the System’s words.
System: “Why not!?” She exclaimed in confusion.
Monia: “I am a lesbian, sorry. I’ll be going after Risa, not the man.” She answered with a nonchalant tone.
System: “…Ah, that still works, sure. It will be harder, though. Carter is trying very hard to kick Risa out of their family.” She advised.
Monia: “I’ve read this story countless times, so I will be fine.” She replied with an unconcerned tone.
System: “…”
The System now felt quite useless, as this contracted host was seemingly not in need of her services. Regardless, as the good System that it is, she will still try to help the woman out from time to time. Ignoring the System in her head, Monia looked around the room a bit more.
“This restraint isn’t painful, at least.” She thought with a groan. The restraint was metal, and so was the long chain that was attached to the ceiling. But the restraint had very comfortable material on the inside, which prevented the woman from feeling any pain. “How did Risa have time to find a pink restraint like this…” She thought with some intrigue.
Monia: “Where am I?” She asked the maids.
Maids: “…”
“If I remember correctly… that is, in the novel, they were ordered to not talk to me.” She recalled in her mind, with a slightly upset mood being brought to the woman. In the original story, Monia was visiting California on a little vacation. After landing, Risa soon caught a glimpse of her, which spurred the woman into kidnapping Monia.
The story, that is, if this world will play out mostly the same, Risa should be at work right now. “Rather than Risa… shouldn’t her brother be showing up soon?” She thought with a thinking pose. Knock! As she thought about this, there was a knock on the door of this odd room. The maids were confused, but soon opened the door, revealing… the silly man, Carter Granda.
