Chapter 1: Chapter I - Forced into action

Once mike had entred the school, the warm atmosphere of the place is rather... warm, the smell of cleaness entering his nostrils. A couple of students are already in the hallways, chattering amongst each other about exams. mike could either try to talk to them or head straight to the classroom himself.

As mike was lost in his head, he accidentally bumps into one of the teachers at the U.A. He was tall, slim and had sunglasses on even though they're not outside.

The teacher turns around as mike looks up at him, he seems annoyed.

-Watch where you're going, kid. You're supposed to watch out when you're in the way of other people-

-Heeeey, I haven't seen you around here before... Are you new here?-

To which mike simply nods.

The teacher, whose name is Mr. Hizashi, continues to observe Mike. He seems to look pretty skeptical.

-What's your name, kid? And what class are you in?-

mike then speaks, his voice is that one you would think a grown man with a completly developed throat would narrate stories with, but at the same time, you can hear a faint high pitched voice, fitting for a misterious young man.

-mike... i'm supposed to go to the class 1-A-

Then the hero responds with:

-1-A huh? Let me guess, you're the 'exchange student' from overseas?-

-uhh...- mike paused for a moment, unsure of what to respond -yes...-

Mr. Hizashi doesn't seem completely convinced. He bows down to look at him in the face, lowering his sunglasses, he still has that look of skepticism.

-You hesitated; Almost like you're unsure if you actually know what you're doing here. Don't think you can fool me with that 'exchange student' crap-

mike simply stood there in silence, his wide eyes staring into his; and yet, despite that, his face wasn't sweating at all.

Present mic looked him dead in the eye for a tense moment before completely switching the mood to a more light-hearted one.

-I'm just kidding!- he chuckled to himself as he patted mike's back

-C'mon lighten up buddy, life isn't all that gloomy y'know? besides i bet you're gonna love it here-

All mike could do was just stand there, a mix of surprise and relief washing over him.

-uhh... sure-

Present Mic still had his hand rested on Mike's shoulder, his mood was a mixture of friendly and curious.

-Hmmm, you really don't talk much are you? I guess you're shy or something, huh? Well whatever the case is, i gotta get going now, don't get in trouble, y'hear me?-

He then walked away.

All mike could do is place a hand on his forehead and sigh to himself as he resumed the walk towards the classroom.

As mike continues his walk towards 1-A, he passes a few students who are busy chatting in the hallway, they steal some glances in his direction, curiosity in their look. They quickly resume their discussion, but some of them still keep eyeing him from a distance. It might be that they're not used to seeing a newcomer among them, or they just find him a little intimidating. maybe it was a mixture of both.

After a short walk, he arrives at a massive door with a "1" and an "A" stapled on it. mike hesitates for a moment, trying to gather his thoughts, preparing for the unwanted attention.

He has never worked or studied in a proper classroom full of kids his age ot younger. hopefully his bored and nonchalant personality will make everyone think he's boring and not worth the attention.

Before he opened the door, mike touched his forehead with his thumb, then his chest, procceded by his two shoulders creating the sign of a cross on his body, kinda like he was praying to god.

mike slowly goes to open the door, he noticies a few pair of eyes dart his way, silently staring.

The voices inside the classroom gradually start to quiet down as the students turn their attention towards Mike at the door. The room becomes almost eerily silent for a moment as everybody stares at him. Many of them are curious, some are intrigued, but a few are just plain wary. The sudden arrival of the 'exchange student' suddenly changes the room's mood...

Aizawa got noticed beforehand that a new student, who 'totally' passed the exam (even if the entrance exman was like a week ago) and did not commit any sort of criminal activity prior to entering the UA, got exchange from another school from another country.

If this kid had been "exchanged" from another school then it must mean that he was more prepared than any other kid in this school. So he expected mike to be a remakable student, not only from his class, but from the UA as a whole.

Then he gets up and walks up to mike. His voice was a reflection of his aperance, the aperance of a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes.

-You're the new exchange student if i am right-

He observes mike with tired eyes.

mike nods.

Aizawa was waiting for a longer response, but he guesses that works.

-Go ahead then and introduce yourself to the class-

The moment mike heard those words, his stomach tied itself, he felt agony and despair, of course his face wasn't showing it, in fact, his face didn't seem to reflect any emotion.

mike could feel the sweat pour down like a waterfall on his back, yet his face remained as dry as a desert.

mike then reluctanly walks up to the front of the classroom.

While mike waits for the students to quiet down, he stares at Aizawa, trying to make him feel some empathy about him not wanting to do this.

As the studens voices get lost in the past, Aizawa just responds to mike's stare with:

-You're supposed to say your name and a little info about you-

mike goes back to staring at the 20 studens waiting for him to speak.

He gathers all the courage he can to say the following lines.

-みなさん... こんにちは... マイクです... よろしく-

Each sentence that mike spoke had a feeling of unethusiasm to it, mike hoped that his regular boring attitude will scare off the students so they leave him alone.

Knowing that mike had to spend a whole 3 years with 20 poeple, and possibly more, mike was as lively as a fish out of water.

The students were definitely shocked at mike's voice and the fact he spoke japanese without any accent, it was not expected at all. Yet, it felt weirdly unnatural when mixed in with mike's bored face. As he finished speaking, a soft buzz of chatter started to rise and fall in the room, some students were whispering to each other, others were just too stunned to speak... but then silence fell back again in the room.

Some students look a little confused, others (Bakugou) were mad that another lame ass nonchalant guy was in the class room, they had too many already.

Aizawa, not wating to prolonge this introduction, if you could hardly call it that, tells mike to go sit at the back.

Both mike and Aizawa looked around trying to find a desk but there was no desk empty, this classroom was only desing for 20 students in mind

Aizawa sighs before he asks the students:

-Alright, who's gonna go fetch him a spare desk from another classroom?-

The class is then suddenly filled of sighs and complaints, no one is eager to volunteer...

Aizawa shook his head -hmm... well, since nobody want's to go... You, Bakugou, Go get a desk from class 1-C-

-HUH!? WHY THE FUCK AM I THE ONE TO BRING THIS ASSHOLE HIS DESK? IF HE WANTS IT HE CAN GO GET IT HIMSELF!-

-No questions, just do it... your homeroom teacher orders you- he looked at him with those bored yet threatening eyes.

Bakugou scowls at Aizawa's command, his face is red with anger. He huffs and begrudgingly gets up from his seat. The other students watch as he stomps out of the classroom muttering under his breath.

-Kaminari, go follow him make sure he doesn't get in trouble-

Kaminari let out an exaggerated dramatic sigh as he got up from his seat, reluctantly heading out the door after Bakugou.

This situation wasn't exactly pretty for mike either... making two students go after a desk just beacuse there wasn't room for him, he feels like he doesn't belong here.

-this is just great- he muttered to himself.

The silence in the classroom continued as the students sat there, some were still eyeing mike, others were just staring at their desks. Aizawa was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets, observing mike through half-open eyes, mike put his bag down and did the same, covering half his face with one hand, as if trying to hide from the gazes around him.

Finally both Bakugou and Kaminari came back with a spare desk and a chair, Bakugo droped the desk with a loud slam and kaminari left the chair next to it as they both went back to their seats.

Aizawa watched as Bakugo and Kaminari returned with the desk and chair, the sudden loud slam made a few students jump a little.

-Alright, mike, you can take your seat-

mike looked around once more -...where?-

Again this classroom was only for 20 students only initially, and they had to keep their student numbers in order so mike had to be at the back for obligation, but there was no space at the back, since if he where to sit there he would be blocking the back drawers, and he couldn't be at the corners either since the left corner was the secondary door to the classroom and the right corner had the class's closet, it really was a dilema.

The students in the class begin to notice the difficulty mike was having to find a seat, some of them glance among each other in silence.

Aizawa crosses his arms and lets out a weary sigh -It seems like we'll have to move some desks around then-

Aizawa ponders for a moment before taking a decision.

-Momo, move your desk a little to the right of you-

Momo nods and complies, she carefully moves her desk a little bit to the right.

Aizawa then grabs the desk and chair with his bandages around his neck and moves them so they are right next to Momo's desk, this way the students numerical order wouldn't be affected and mike still has a good view of the board.

-There, go and sit down now-

mike looks at him a little surprised, then looks forward again, now relieved that it's over now.

He began walking towards his desk near the left wall trying to stay as far away as he could from the other students (Specially Bakugou), Each step he took was as silent as a mouse but as heavy as an elephant, how is that even possible? mike then sits down next to Momo and everyone resumes their regular chats and banter.

The tension in the room slowly eases. Some students were visibly relieved to have the uncomfortable introduction part over with, while others continued to steal glances at mike, still trying to figure him out.

Momo, who was sitting next to him, gave him a quick glance and a small smile before resuming her work on her notes.

mike overhears one of the girls say something about him.

-He doesn't look too talkative...-

*No fucking shit sherlock* said a copy of mike portrayed in the world that only he can see and hear.

-Maybe he's just shy- her firend responds as they giggle, their backs turn towards mike.

Despite all this, mike tries to aliviate his strees with a fidget toy he had for ocassions like this.

After settling down, Aizawa has something to say to the class.

He had planned to start a test on the first day at school, but after knowing about an exchange student coming to the class, he decided to postpone it.

And now that everyone is here, he proceeds to say:

-I had postponed a plan for all of you until today; you better be grateful that I didn't go with it the first day ya'll arrived here-

Everyone is shocked, and some are even a little scared as to what Aizawa has in store for them.

Then Aizawa pulls out a P.E. uniform from his sleeping bag.

-I believe you hadn't worn these before... well, now you do; put 'em on and meet me at the P.E. grounds-

As Aizawa leaves, some students look confused and some others excited as to what is to come.

Eventually everyone leaves to the lockers, mike being the last one to exit the classroom.

While the boys in the lockers are changing, they can't help but notice Mike's torso. It was pure black; nobody couldn't notice before because mike's head, hands, and feet were regular white color, but everything else was black, almost like ink was just straight up injected onto his skin, defining his slim form and somewhat musculature.

They were surprised, yeah, but considering there's a girl who's literally all pink, they kinda just brushed it off.

After everyone gathers at the training field, Aizawa says the kind of test the students will be taking.

An aprehension quirk test.

Then Aizawa proceeds to say:

-You all understand the school's reputation for freedom on campus. Well, that "Freedom" goes for us teachers, too-

Everyone is mouth-shut in fear; mike keeps showing no emotion thus far.

Aizawa lists all the types of activities they will perform on the test, such as:

*Softball pitch* *Standing long jump* *50-meter dash* *Endurance running* *Grip strength test*

*Sustained sideways jumps* *Upperbody exercises* *Seated toe-touch*

These are all activities that the students were banned from using their quirk on; mike on the other hand was always able to use his quirk since he was 5.

-How far could you pitch a softball in middle school?- Aizawa asks Bakugou.

-67 meters- he responds

Aizawa asks him once again.

-Try using your quirk this time; as long as you don't exit the circle, everything is fine-

Bakugou is ready to pitch the ball, and with the help of his quirk, he launches the ball 705 meters away into the air while shouting "die".

Some students cheer while mike takes note of Bakugou's quirk.

Aizawa hears the students having fun and quickly cuts them off by saying:

-Fun you say?... you were planing on spending 3 years here trynna become heroes the "FUN" way?-

-In that case... new rule: the student with the least points will end up deemed "useless" and be imediatly expelled-

The students were shocked at the revelation. Even mike hadn't expected such boldness from a teacher, yet still, just by looking at him, he can expect the worst.

-Welcome to the hero course at U.A. High school! ... Your fates are in our hands- Aizawa proceeds to yell.

mike furrows his brow, thinking how on earth he will be able to tolerate such guy for the rest of his days at U.A.

Thankfully, he already had 12 years worth of training with his quirk. Hopefully he won't end up last.
