Miracle Summoner

Chapter 2011: -1969- Distributing the holy grails

"Can't?"

As Roman said this, Artoria [Alter] and Jeanne [Alter] both turned their gazes toward him, their eyes flashing with a menacing light.

Roman was instantly frightened.

"T-That's not what I meant!" Roman quickly explained. "The reason we can't do it yet is that Spiritron Transfer requires preparation. We can't perform it immediately!"

"Is that so?" Mash looked a little doubtful.

"Well, that makes sense," Rozen, however, understood.

Seeing this, Da Vinci provided the explanation at just the right moment.

"Spiritron Transfer to the BC era is already difficult enough, and this time, we have to reach Mesopotamia in 2600 BC. That task itself is extremely challenging. What's more, we are heading to the Age of Gods, a period where modern civilization does not even acknowledge the existence of mystery. The very fabric of existence in that era is unstable, and since mystery had yet to decline during that time, it has a huge impact on Spiritron Transfer. Therefore, just sending you there requires more resources and preparation than all six previous Singularities combined."

For this reason, Spiritron Transfer could not be performed at the moment.

Unless Rozen and the others were willing to risk getting lost in the transfer, ending up in an unknown era, or even being trapped in the Spiritron World forever with no way back, attempting the transfer now would be suicidal.

Given this…

"I'm really sorry to throw cold water on your enthusiasm, but until the Spiritron Transfer preparations are complete, you'll have to stay in Chaldea."

That was Da Vinci's conclusion.

The problem was…

"Will we make it in time?"

Rozen asked.

There was no choice. The confirmation of the Incineration of Humanity was now a reality. If human history was completely burned away, 2020 would become an irreversible fate.

"There are only a few months left until 2020, right?"

Mash's expression tensed.

Time was running out for Chaldea.

If they couldn't repair the Seventh Singularity and retrieve the seventh Holy Grail before 2020, then the Mage King's plan would succeed. Chaldea, too, would be burned to nothingness, leaving not even ashes behind.

If it really came to that, Rozen would have no choice but to use his Absolute Contract to take Mash, Roman, and the others away from this world, escaping the crisis of the Incineration of Humanity.

Therefore, these last few months were critical.

"We understand." Roman nodded solemnly. "No matter what, we will give it our all in the coming months to ensure everything is ready before the final destruction arrives."

"Chaldea is going to be busy again," Da Vinci sighed. "But this will be the last time."

Indeed.

The last time.

After this, Chaldea faced only two possible outcomes.

Either they would successfully save humanity, restoring the foundation of human history—

Or they would fail, perishing alongside human history in the flames of incineration.

They had no choice but to go all out.

"In that case, waiting isn't a problem."

"I'm a little curious about this place anyway, so I'll take the chance to look around."

Artoria [Alter] and Jeanne [Alter] lost their fighting spirit and made these statements.

"As long as Rozen-sama is here, that's all that matters to me."

Hassan of Serenity was indifferent. As long as she could stay by Rozen's side, she was content.

"The final battle to save humanity, huh?"

Rozen smiled slightly.

Since that was the case, he still had time before the final Spiritron Transfer to take care of his own matters in other worlds.

"Before we head to the last Singularity, let's clear up any lingering regrets."

Rozen thought to himself.

For now, though, there was still one matter to deal with.

"What should we do with these Holy Grails?"

Rozen raised his hand, causing three golden grails to float into the air. They shone with a brilliant radiance, orbiting one another, forming a mesmerizing sight.

"Three Holy Grails, huh?"

Roman was in awe.

"You brought back quite the spoils this time," Da Vinci remarked with great interest.

Rozen then presented the three Holy Grails to everyone and stated his concern.

"Only one of these Holy Grails is the cause of a Singularity, created by Solomon. The other two have nothing to do with him. How should we handle them?"

Chaldea only needed to recover the Holy Grails responsible for creating Singularities and disrupting human history. Proper Holy Grails were outside of Chaldea's jurisdiction.

Aside from the Holy Grail of the Sixth Singularity, the two additional Holy Grails possessed by the Lion King were different—one originally belonged to Galahad, and the other was something Artoria had stumbled upon during her 1500-year-long wandering. Both were genuine relics that had naturally appeared in history and did not need to be sealed and studied like the ones from Singularities.

In truth, what Rozen wanted to say was…

"The Holy Grails from Singularities are one thing. They were created by Solomon specifically to disrupt humanity and definitely shouldn't be used recklessly. But these two are real wish-granting machines. Shouldn't we be able to use them?"

That was Rozen's consideration.

This piqued the curiosity of the others.

"Do you have a wish you want to fulfill?"

Jeanne [Alter] smirked, as if trying to tempt Rozen into indulgence.

"You should know that the so-called Holy Grail is essentially an infinite magical energy resource. It doesn't actually grant any wish—it only realizes wishes that are possible for humans to achieve. From that perspective, I doubt it can do anything you can't already do yourself."

Artoria [Alter] made this statement.

Rozen, of course, understood that.

"To me, the Holy Grail isn't as tempting as it used to be. But having one is still quite useful."

Rozen shrugged and explained,

"My mind holds an immense amount of knowledge and spells. As long as I have enough magical energy, I can use them to accomplish all kinds of things. And now that my mana is no less than a Holy Grail itself, there's almost nothing I can't achieve. But there is one key difference—the time it takes."

That was the crucial point.

If one made a wish to the Holy Grail, as long as the wish was something humans could achieve, the Holy Grail would use its near-infinite magical energy to fulfill it immediately—effectively skipping the entire process of realization and directly providing the result.

But if Rozen wanted to achieve the same thing himself, he would have to conduct rituals, prepare materials, execute spells, and weave magical constructs. All these steps would require time and effort.

In short, the Holy Grail was simply a device for shortening the time needed to realize a wish.

Even so, that still held great value.

"The Holy Grail that the Lion King found during her thousand-year journey—I'll be taking that one."

Rozen reached out and pulled one of the golden grail into his hand, claiming it as his own.

Then…

"This Holy Grail belonged to Galahad, right?" Rozen turned to Mash and said, "Then this one is yours, Mash."

"Me?" Mash was momentarily stunned.
