MHA: UltraMan

Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Screams ripped through the streets as chaos erupted. A hulking figure loomed at the center of it all, his grotesquely massive muscles stretching his skin taut. A black mask concealed most of his face, but the cruel curve of his grin was unmistakable. His accomplices—mutated, monstrous figures with barely human features—darted through the crowd, evading the police as sirens wailed.

With a guttural roar, the massive villain seized a nearby car, his muscles bulging as he lifted it effortlessly over his head. With terrifying force, he hurled it toward the McDonald's, the vehicle spinning wildly through the air, aiming straight for the restaurant's windows.

Jackson's body moved on instinct. He grabbed Uta and twisted, shielding her with his own body as the car came crashing down. The impact sent a shockwave through his muscles as he braced against the force, his boots skidding against the tile floor. Glass and debris exploded around them, the weight of the vehicle pressing down on his back like a collapsing building.

For a moment, there was only the sound of their breathing—Uta, wide-eyed beneath him, his arms locked protectively around her. Their faces were impossibly close, her breath warm against his skin.

But Jackson had no time to dwell on it. With a deep breath, he tightened his stance, his muscles screaming as he shifted his weight. Summoning every ounce of strength, he pushed up, lifting the car just enough to shove it aside. It crashed onto the street outside, the metal groaning under its own weight.

Jackson exhaled, rolling his shoulders before looking down at Uta. "You okay?"

She blinked, still processing what had happened, then gave a small nod.

"Good," he said, offering her a hand. "Because something tells me we're just getting started."

Jackson and Uta stepped out of McDonald's, glass crunching under their boots as they took in the chaos outside. Atop the wreckage, the massive villain stood like a statue of destruction, his muscles rippling under the streetlights.

Jackson cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders. "You handle the small guys—I've got the big one."

Before Uta could protest, he was already gone, a blur of speed cutting through the battlefield. He skidded to a stop in front of the towering villain, looking up with an easy smirk. "Hey, big guy. You wanna test that strength against me?"

The villain sneered, his voice a deep, rumbling growl. "You? You're nothing."

A fist the size of a wrecking ball swung toward him. Jackson caught it with both hands, the impact kicking up a whirlwind of force around them. The sheer power behind the punch made his arms tremble.

"Damn," Jackson muttered through gritted teeth. "You're strong."

Before he could finish his sentence, another fist came barreling toward him—this one landing clean. The impact sent Jackson flying, his body crashing into the pavement with enough force to crack the cement. Pain flared through his ribs as he groaned, pushing himself up on shaking arms.

Unknown Location

Director Nick Fury stood in the shadows of a high-tech command center, watching the live feed of the battle through a satellite link.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y.," he said, voice tight with frustration.

"Ultraman—alias Jackson Rogers—is critically low on energy. Power levels at five percent."

Fury exhaled sharply. "This kid… Always biting off more than he can chew."

"Shall I initiate Protocol Red?"

An agent hesitated. "Sir, the system hasn't been fully tested—"

"Do it," Fury ordered.

Back on the Battlefield

Jackson barely had time to react before a streak of metal tore through the sky, a blur of silver and red racing toward him. The villain snarled, winding up for another punch—but before he could strike, the incoming object shattered midair.

The fragments moved with perfect precision, locking onto Jackson's body piece by piece until the armor fully formed around him. The moment the final component snapped into place, a jolt of energy surged from the arc reactor in his chest, sending a sharp shock through his body.

His HUD flickered to life, and the AI's voice rang in his ears.

"Emergency power engaged. Warning: Arc reactor power at 20%."

Lifting his gaze, he locked eyes with the villain.

"Alright," he muttered under his breath, rolling his shoulders. "Let's make this quick."

Jackson lunged forward with explosive speed, closing the distance in an instant. The massive villain barely had time to register the attack before Jackson's fist drove upward in a brutal uppercut. The impact sent a violent ripple through the man's jaw and cheek, his entire skull vibrating from the force.

A split second later, his massive frame rocketed into the air, launching nearly a hundred feet skyward.

As the battle unfolded, news helicopters whirred overhead, cameras locking onto the action. The world watched as Jackson and Uta took on the villains, their fight broadcasted live for everyone to see.
