MHA: The Tower Era

Chapter 12: Geise

Dark, quiet and calm. That was what the world was when Luke was awoken. The dark clouds above and the quiet roads made the city an eerie calm. The relentless thuds of the rain colliding Luke's small window. The hotel, with a cheap, disrepair, and unfriendly exterior, opened its doors.

A man with a slim build, a hoodie that covered his features, but his eyes reveal everything. An unnatural glow that contrasted with the hotel's dim light. His figure was a paint that was added to hotels unchanging and dark colour.

Luke stared at the grey clouds that were pouring.

"I'm tired." Luke said.

A ball that was like a blue blackhole whirled around him quicker at his words.

"There's a soul." The ball vibrated and created sounds.

It was AI, an intelligent soul created when Luke wanted to delegate his responsibilities.

"You win some and you lose some?" Luke ruminated on life's nature as ball continued to whirl around Luke like an orbit.

"There's a soul." The AI repeated.

Luke's hand moved up and down in a fluid motion and Soul Energy gathered to form a black gun which fit like glove onto his hands.

"Where is he?" Luke pondered.

"There's a soul." The AI repeated once more.

Luke looked at the ball and grabbed it and channelled his Soul Affinity, imagining 'Void', he removed AI's capability to speak through vibration.

The ball caught in Luke's grasp turned dimmer and Luke released the ball. AI floated out of Luke's palm and started to orbit Luke, but the orbit was faster than before.

Looking at AI orbiting, Luke sighed.

Taking one step into the rain and another as Luke focused on the reason, he was awake.

"I've found them and there is no place left to hide, sinners." Luke spoke quietly and softly as if he was muttering about something unimportant.

AI whirled harder and created noise, it was like a bullet.

Luke connected himself to the bundle of tethers that was connected to the orbs of sight, almost like joining a call online, Luke looked at footage that he received.

"I see." Luke said and suddenly raised his palm in front of himself and pointed it to the nearby space.

His energy channelled and tugging on a connection which pulled back a Soul Existence to the space in front of himself.

The Soul Reality that Luke could see rippled and Eifrig's soul was summoned.

"Ah?!" Eifrig was thrown outside the ripple.

Eifrig looked up at the person who was in front of him.

"Boss? Boss! I used the devices and got some information!" His voice loud.

"Not. Now. Eifrig."

"Oh. Okay."

Luke walked in front of Eifrig. "AI sighted the sinners, help me Eifrig." Luke didn't turn back. Eifrig stood up quickly and went behind Luke. "Yes, I will be glad to help." Eifrig's voice was quiet now.

The AI went to Luke's left and Eifrig went to his right.

"There will be no mercy."

---

A doll in the path of three people was kicked and turned into ash.

The dark streets and dimly brightened paths made it harder for the three to walk. The rain soaked three walked quietly and ominously. Their red and colourful clothes became darker and less vibrant.

"Stupid idiot, wants me to look for a useless thing." A woman spoke. "At least we didn't meet with the heroes." Another remarked. "Shut it, you two. We must report back." The third spoke sternly and rebuked the other two.

And there was quiet before there wasn't.

BOOM!

An explosion rocked the woman's body, and she separated into many.

"What?!"

"Who was that?"

They got into a stance, but one of them put a finger to their forehead and pointed to certain direction.

"I will kill you!" the third member said and upon their palms formed a red flame.

Recklessly, the third threw the fire everywhere and turned the nearby buildings ablaze.

The red flickered in front of Luke's eyes as he watched Eifrig, the soul existence with an explosive touch quirk, touch the third member.

"AHHH!" A scream was their reply.

"HELP! HE-…" The third said before their soul turned dim.

The man, the second member, trembled. "Please! I'll do anything." The man slowly stood, before quickly dashing.

Luke commanded AI, "Collide with his legs". AI, spun around and shot into the man's legs, broke the man's soul legs.

"AHHHHH!" His screams louder. The man fell to the floor.

A foot stopped before his head. The man looked up through one eye to see a monster. "Tell me everything, sinner." A distorted or perhaps hallucinated voice sounded.

"AHHHH!" His reply was pain, pain and pain.

Luke decided his action. "it's so loud, so noisy, so annoying!" Luke grasped the hair of the man who had tears streaking and all sorts of fluid released and covered his face with his other hand.

"I will just take everything and pray for your peace in the afterlife."

"AHHHHH!" The man screamed, almost as if he could only scream, and his voice quietened when Luke rummaged through his memories.

The memories unveiled themselves like a tape, from the recent to the oldest, Luke was fortunate that the memory he wanted or didn't want was recent.

"This is mind-numbing." Luke grimaced as he found that the man's quirk was telepathy.

"So annoying, but someone has to do this to make the world a better place." Luke looks at the blood of the three mixing in the rain. "Geise, huh? An organisation that wants equality between people with quirks and not." Luke ruminated and was in thought. "They're not so equal when they make people suffer." Luke judged and he moved his hands in a fluid motion to reveal his goal.

[Save The Suffering: 1/100000]

Luke's steps left naturally and Eifrig and AI followed.

Eifrig a step behind Luke and beside AI, he spoke to AI. "You know, I was the first, don't get any ideas." Eifrig spoke whilst glancing at the ball. The ball went side to side. "Boss treasures me more." Eifrig claimed and the ball violently shook, but no sound came.

"Keeping quiet, huh? All right." Eifrig focused on the surroundings and followed Luke.

The Ball shook and moved about, but nothing could be understood.

The three continued to move in the dark and soaked paths.

Their surroundings became more active and more of the buildings seemed not maintained, eventually, the three stopped before two other people.

"Leave! Or we will kill you." A declaration that was spoken fluidly and with ease.

"Are you Geise?" Luke spoke quietly.

"How do you!? Kill him!" A woman's eyes glowed and emitted a light that corroded the floor.

Luke hid behind a wall and before the woman could give chase, her head blew up.

Eifrig had touched the woman's head, his invisibility giving new dimensions for Eifrig's touch as a well-placed touch could kill anyone.

Turning away from Eifrig. Luke put his attention on his arm that was exposed to the light, Luke frowned.

"This is unexpected," His arm turned into a meat blender and his soul changed to express the same.

Luke's soul was unlike other souls, while slight changes in the soul wouldn't affect the normal person, any change to Luke's soul would express the change in reality.

"But not fatal anymore." Luke channelled his Soul Affinity, imagined 'Repair', and his arm started to reform and move around until the arm was same as before.

Luke glanced at the woman from the corner and saw that one of Geise members was still alive.

After the woman blew up, the man fainted in shock and Eifrig didn't continue to kill the man.

The woman, whilst dead still had her soul inside her body where it would stay like that until the tether snapped.

"You survived, but not for long if you continue." Luke said as he looked at the man.

Luke looked at woman's soul and connected a tether from the woman to a box he formed from soul energy. "Four souls." Luke devised a way to convert beings to help him and had connected the first three he had met to this box to convert them into soul existences when he had more time.

Luke looked at the man. "I hope you live a better life." The man's soul looked a bit brighter. Luke turned away and took another step in night whilst the moon was shining. The rays of light opening the path towards the Geise's base where the suffering wait for anything.

The rain soaking Luke's clothes and dripped onto the pavement, reflecting the light, and showing the night sky empty of stars.

"This is so uninteresting." Luke mutters.
