Chapter 40: Compensation

With the formation of 'The Clones' band and the love nets cast across the school music scene, Clone Himaru felt satisfied with the progress of his plan, but he didn't stop or become complacent. As a true 'fisherman' thirsty for challenges and power, he realized that the ocean was still vast and teeming with fish. His attention now turned to his next 'prey,' a far more challenging and prestigious target: Kayama Nemuri, better known as Midnight in her Pro Hero career.

Clone Himaru picked up the smartphone belonging to his original body from the bedside table; the screen lit up displaying a long contact list. His fingers quickly searched for the name he wanted: Kayama Nemuri. Flashbacks of his first day at school replayed in his mind like a silent film being rerun.

A cat named 'Sushi,' a car that almost hit him, and Midnight's sweet smile as she handed him her business card. These seemingly trivial and coincidental events now transformed into the starting point for his ambitious new plan.

After finding Midnight's contact, Clone Himaru steadily pressed the call button. A ringing tone sounded in the phone speaker, his heart beating slightly faster than usual, adrenaline beginning to pump rapidly throughout his body. This was no longer just a teenage love intrigue full of pretense; this was a professional-level 'hunt,' a planned operation requiring intelligence, charm, and top-notch cunning.

Moments later, the call connected. A mature, sexy, and seductive voice, Midnight's unmistakable signature voice, greeted him from the other end of the line. "Hello? Kayama Nemuri speaking."

Clone Himaru took a deep breath, adjusting his voice intonation to sound polite yet confident, radiating a charming aura that was hard to resist. "Good afternoon, Kayama-san. This is Himaru, do you still remember me?"

"Himaru-kun?" Midnight's voice sounded slightly surprised but also pleased, there was a subtle note of joy in her intonation. "Ah, Himaru-kun who saved Sushi that time, right? What brings you to call me all of a sudden?"

Clone Himaru began the conversation with light pleasantries, building a bridge of familiarity with captivating courtesy. "That's right, Kayama-san. I just wanted to make sure if Sushi is doing well." He continued, slightly mentioning the incident of the cat almost being hit by a car, praising Midnight's attention to her pet, and indirectly, praising her kindness.

Midnight responded warmly, captivated by Himaru's sincere attention. "Sushi is fine, thank you for asking. You're very thoughtful, Himaru-kun. But… is there something wrong with your body? You weren't hurt back then, were you?" Midnight's tone of voice showed the concern of a responsible pro hero.

"There is nothing wrong with my body, Kayama-san," Clone Himaru replied quickly, brushing aside Midnight's worries with his charming smile. "On the contrary, I feel very healthy and energetic. But… I feel like I need a little 'compensation' for that day's incident."

"Compensation?" Midnight sounded confused, her eyebrows probably furrowed on the other line. "What do you mean?"

Clone Himaru explained in a serious tone, but interspersed with a subtle hint of hope, hoping to touch Midnight's emotional side. "I don't want money or goods, Kayama-san. The compensation I crave is… guidance from a pro hero like yourself."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, Clone Himaru could imagine a surprised or perhaps intrigued expression on Midnight's face. He knew that his words had successfully piqued the hero's curiosity and ego.

"Guidance?" Midnight repeated Himaru's words, her tone now shifting to be more seductive and sensual, Midnight's hallmark as the charming R-18 hero. "You mean… training?"

"Exactly, Kayama-sensei," Clone Himaru replied firmly, seizing this golden opportunity to further tighten his net. "I aspire to become a great pro hero. And who else is more worthy to train me than a great hero like Midnight-san?" He added in a praising and admiring tone, touching Midnight's praise-hungry ego, "Besides, Kayama-san's quirk is very unique and powerful. I'm sure there's a lot I can learn from you."

Midnight chuckled softly, sounding pleased and proud of Clone Himaru's barrage of compliments. "You… you are quite good at praising others, Himaru-kun. But… I'm getting interested in this offer of yours. Training a new hero seed like you sounds quite fun and challenging." She continued in a more serious and professional tone, but still shrouded in a seductive touch, "Alright, Himaru-kun. I agree to train you. But it can only be for a few hours on weekends, okay? When I don't have patrol schedules or urgent missions."

"Of course, Kayama-sensei! I am very grateful!" exclaimed Clone Himaru in a deliberately enthusiastic and spirited tone, hiding a victorious grin behind his innocent face. In his heart, he laughed heartily, celebrating his success. 'The second net successfully cast perfectly! Midnight, you are a big fish that is so easily lured into my trap.'

After brief pleasantries to arrange schedules and training locations, they ended the call. Clone Himaru stared at the smartphone in his hand with a victorious look radiating from his eyes. His plan was going even smoother than he had imagined before. 'I am the one who will become the Fishing King! I will conquer all the oceans and master all the fish!' he thought with a sly grin adorning his handsome face.

A few days later, according to the agreement that had been made, Clone Himaru and Midnight met at a secluded beach far from the city crowds. The beach was indeed not popular among tourists, the sand was not clean white because it was filled with various scattered trash, and the seawater looked murky and dirty. Similar to the beach where All Might trained Deku in the future, Clone Himaru thought with a small smirk etched on his lips. A perfect place for 'hero training' and 'veiled dates' full of intrigue.

"Himaru-kun, have you been waiting long?" greeted Midnight, appearing in casual but still fashionable and stylish clothes, branded sunglasses covering part of her mesmerizing face. Her signature intoxicating perfume immediately invaded Clone Himaru's sense of smell, arousing passion and adrenaline within him.

"Not really, Kayama-san. I just arrived," Clone Himaru replied politely, bowing slightly as a sign of respect. He deliberately chose clothes that highlighted his athletic, sturdy, and muscular physique, showing off the results of his hard work in the dungeon.

"Just call me Midnight, during training like this, no need to be too formal," Midnight said with a seductive smile that displayed her perfect set of white teeth, taking off her sunglasses and looking at Clone Himaru with captivating and mysterious purple eyes. "So, Himaru-kun, what's your quirk like? Tell me about it."

Clone Himaru put on a serious face, starting the fabrication of lies that he had prepared carefully. "My quirk is… 'Training Specialist,' Midnight-sensei." He explained in a convincing and confident tone, looking Midnight straight in the eye. "This quirk allows me to improve any ability I'm training limitlessly. The harder I train, the faster my abilities develop."

Midnight looked intrigued, her eyebrow raised, her eyes showing great curiosity. "Training Specialist? That's a very unique and interesting quirk. How does it work? What are the limitations of this quirk?"

Clone Himaru answered with a bit of dramatization, adding a touch of mystery to his explanation. "I also don't know exactly how it works, Midnight-sensei. But for sure, this quirk makes training very effective for me. Just look at my body." With a trained confident movement, Clone Himaru took off the casual jacket he was wearing, showing off his perfectly sculpted body muscles, the result of hard and disciplined training in the dungeon. His biceps and triceps tensed, his six-pack abs were clearly visible, and the lines of his chest muscles stood out beautifully.

Midnight's eyes were immediately fixed on Clone Himaru's captivating athletic body. Her face blushed red, her breath catching slightly in her throat. Not out of embarrassment or awkwardness, but because the R-18 hero instinct within her was instantly triggered, arousing passion and attraction that she couldn't hide. "Oh… you have quite good muscles, Himaru-kun," Midnight said in a husky, seductive voice, trying to hide her surprise. "You're really serious about this training, huh."

Clone Himaru smiled contentedly in his heart. 'The 'muscle flex' strategy worked! Midnight is really captivated by my charm.'

Midnight then shifted the conversation to the training material they would do that day. "As heroes, combat ability is important, but the ability to handle disaster victims is just as important. Today, we will learn about the basics of handling disaster victims." Midnight began to explain first aid steps, evacuation, and coordination with rescue teams, providing training material with enthusiasm and professionalism.

In the following weeks, the secluded beach became a silent witness to the hero training between Midnight and Clone Himaru. They practiced various things, from close combat techniques, speed of movement, to disaster victim rescue simulations. Each practice was filled with laughter, light conversation, and 'accidental' touches that happened more and more often, building an increasingly deep emotional closeness between them.

In combat training sessions, Clone Himaru could actually easily defeat Midnight. His combat experience in the dungeon was far richer and more diverse, his reflexes and fighting instincts were already sharply honed. However, according to his cunning plan, he deliberately held back, giving Midnight a 'chance' to narrowly win, letting the pro hero's ego be satisfied.

Sometimes, as an accomplished hunter, he also positioned himself as weak and helpless prey, eliciting Midnight's pity and desire to protect him.

"Amazing, Midnight-sensei!" praised Clone Himaru in a deliberately admiring and amazed tone, after receiving a crushing 'defeat' from Midnight in a sparring session. "Your movements are getting faster and stronger. I really learned a lot from you."

Midnight smiled proudly hearing the sincere praise from Clone Himaru, feeling proud of her achievements as a mentor. "You are no less great either, Himaru-kun. Your adaptability is very fast, your talent is extraordinary. You really have the potential to become a great hero in the future." Midnight truly felt happy and proud to be able to train Clone Himaru, she felt a special connection with her talented and handsome student.

During the training sessions, Clone Himaru relentlessly launched subtle but deadly 'attacks'. He often complimented Midnight's beauty suddenly, in the middle of tiring and sweaty training. "Midnight-sensei, even when sweating like this, you still look very beautiful and charming." Or, "Midnight-sensei's smile always motivates me to train even harder, beyond my limits."

Initially, Midnight only considered Clone Himaru's praise as ordinary teenage chatter trying to please his teacher, empty pleasantries without meaningful meaning. However, the more often Clone Himaru uttered those 'harmless' praises, Midnight began to feel something different within herself. Her cheeks began to blush whenever she was praised, her heart beat a little faster than usual, and strange feelings began to grow in her heart.

Supposedly, their training sessions would end here. However, Clone Himaru, who aspired to become an invincible Fishing King, did not want this close relationship to end just like that. He had to find a way to extend the reach of his 'love net,' deepen their relationship, and bring Midnight deeper into his influence.

"Midnight-sensei," said Clone Himaru one afternoon, after an intense and tiring combat training session. "After this training, how about we do some real hero work? Cleaning up this beach, for example. There is a lot of trash scattered everywhere, it's a shame to leave it like this, spoiling the view and the environment." He added in an innocent tone without hidden intentions, "Besides, serving the community without expecting reward is one of the duties of a true hero, right, Midnight-sensei."

Midnight fell silent for a moment, looking at Clone Himaru with a judging gaze that was difficult to interpret. She could feel a hidden intention behind this 'beach cleaning' invitation, there was another agenda not revealed by her student. However, she also did not want their relationship to end so quickly, she already felt comfortable and attracted to her mysterious and charming student. "Your idea is not bad, Himaru-kun," Midnight finally replied, with a meaningful seductive smile. "Cleaning the beach together… sounds fun and romantic."

And so, the hero training on the secluded beach continued into an increasingly intimate and personal 'beach cleaning' session. Every weekend, Clone Himaru and Midnight spent time together, picking up trash while joking, laughing, and enjoying their increasingly close companionship.

The seeds of love sown by Clone Himaru began to sprout and bloom in Midnight's heart, unnoticed by the pro hero herself. Clone Himaru's love net was expanding and strengthening, ready to ensnare his next prey, bringing Midnight deeper into his dangerous game.
