MHA Dungeon Master

Chapter 39: The Clones

Finding other band members turned out not to be as difficult as Clone Himaru had imagined. With his natural charm, charisma radiating from him, and his extraordinary diplomatic skills.

He managed to invite Itsuka, a close friend of him and Emilia when they were training combat skills together at Itsuka's father's dojo, to join as the band's drummer. Itsuka, who was cheerful, energetic, and had a high spirit, immediately agreed without hesitation.

And he also managed to convince Yaoyorozu Momo, his classmate who came from a wealthy and respected family, to become their band's pianist. Momo's recruitment process occurred by 'coincidence' that was carefully orchestrated by Clone Himaru, with extraordinary meticulous and detailed calculations.

While Momo was alone in the quiet library, searching for reference books to develop her unique and complex Creation quirk, Clone Himaru 'accidentally' passed by the same bookshelf, and with a seemingly awkward but planned movement, he was 'surprised' to grab the exact same book that Momo was holding, causing their fingers to slightly touch in a small but meaningful incident.

"Momo-san? You're here too?" Clone Himaru greeted in a friendly and slightly surprised tone, but his eyes radiated an admiration that was difficult to hide. Momo's heart fluttered softly as their eyes met.

Momo, who was focused on finding a book, was slightly startled to hear Clone Himaru's voice suddenly appear near her. "Ah, Himaru-kun. Yes, just looking for reference books," Momo replied briefly, her cheeks faintly blushing, trying hard to forget the strange and ticklish sensation when her fingers touched Himaru's fingers a moment ago.

"Looking for books about what? Maybe I can help? I'm quite familiar with this library," Clone Himaru offered kindly, stepping closer and trying to peek at the title of the book that Momo was holding tightly. Clone Himaru's soft and masculine perfume faintly reached Momo's nose, making her heart beat even faster.

Momo was silent for a moment, her cheeks feeling increasingly hot as if burning. Clone Himaru was standing too close to her, their distance was only a few centimeters, which made her heart race uncontrollably, her blood flow felt faster than usual. She tried again to focus on her book, avoiding Clone Himaru's intense and difficult-to-interpret gaze.

"I'm looking for books about vibration wave analysis and resonance," Momo said, struggling to stay calm and control her nervousness, trying to make her heart beat a little slower and more regularly. "Can you help me find some other books of the same type, Himaru-kun? I'm having trouble finding relevant references."

"Of course, leave it to me," Himaru replied softly but firmly, then quickly went to search in another bookshelf area to find the books Momo was looking for. He disappeared among the towering bookshelves, leaving Momo alone with her tumultuous thoughts.

Momo finally slightly relieved her nervousness when she saw Clone Himaru start looking for books in another area, moving away from her. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her still pounding heart. After a moment that felt long, they both gathered again at the original place, each carrying some of their chosen books.

It was at this moment, with a charming smile and captivating gaze, that Clone Himaru approached Momo again to convey his original intention, launching his ultimate attack. "Momo-san," Clone Himaru called softly as Momo was looking at some of her chosen books, comparing one to another. "If it's about vibration and resonance... it's undeniable that this is closely related to music, to harmony and melody. How about you join our band as a pianist? I'm sure you must have hidden talent in music."

Momo was surprised, stopping her book selection process and looking at Clone Himaru with a confused and slightly disbelieving gaze. "Band? Me? But I've never played in a band before. I'm not sure I can."

"Yes, a school band, a band that I'm starting with Emilia and Itsuka," Clone Himaru replied, his smile becoming more charming and mesmerizing, making Momo's heart flutter uncertainly. "With your respected and educated family background, I'm very sure you must have learned to play the piano since childhood, right? Your talent in music must be extraordinary. It would be very amazing and invaluable if you would join our band, Momo-san. Your presence will perfect this band."

Momo was silent for a moment, her mind racing wildly. She had never thought even a little about joining a school band, an activity that she thought was just a waste of time and useless. However, Clone Himaru's warm and hopeful gaze, her heart pounding faster every time she was close to Clone Himaru, and the 'coincidental' touch earlier... all of that mixed together, making her heart's defenses slightly falter, tearing down the wall of doubt that she had built up so far. "Alright," Momo finally replied, in a voice that was almost inaudible, more like a soft whisper. "I'll try... I'll try to join."

"Really?" Clone Himaru's eyes sparkled with joy, his smile widened, radiating contagious happiness. "I knew you definitely wouldn't disappoint me, Momo-san. I had suspected from the start that you were the right person for the pianist position in this band. Welcome to The Clones band, Momo-san! You are the last member we were looking for."

In his dark and calculating heart, Clone Himaru laughed contentedly, celebrating his success in trapping his next prey. 'Two nets perfectly installed. Such easy-to-lure fish. Harvest time will arrive soon.'

---

The band was finally officially formed, with a solid and promising formation: Clone Himaru as vocalist and lead guitarist, Momo as an elegant and talented pianist, Itsuka as an energetic and enthusiastic drummer, and Emilia as a cool and naturally talented bassist.

They agreed to name themselves "The Clones" - a name that was Clone Himaru's idea full of hidden meanings, a double meaning that only he himself understood.

Routine practice began in the school music room every afternoon after school hours. The sound of music began to fill the room every day, beautiful melodies were created from the collaboration of the four talented young people, and the seeds of love and affection began to grow secretly among the band members, unnoticed by anyone except the cunning net-caster, Clone Himaru.

When practicing together with Momo in front of the piano, Clone Himaru often 'accidentally' brought his face closer when whispering directions for chords or melodies that Momo should play, making the girl nervous, awkward, and losing concentration.

Momo's heart pounded every time Clone Himaru approached, her breath caught in her throat. "Yaoyorozu-san, try playing this chord a little more... softly and smoothly, lighter touch," Clone Himaru whispered softly, his lips almost touching Momo's delicate earlobe.

Momo's face immediately flushed crimson, and she mistakenly pressed the piano keys because of nervousness, producing a dissonant sound that disturbed the song's harmony. "S-sorry, Himaru-kun," Momo stammered, trying hard to correct her mistake, hiding her blushing face.

With Itsuka, Clone Himaru used a different but equally effective seduction tactic. When Itsuka had difficulty with the song tempo and drum rhythm that was too fast, Clone Himaru quickly approached and 'helped' hold Itsuka's drumsticks from behind, demonstrating the correct rhythm with his gentle and directed hand movements.

"Try to follow this rhythm, Itsuka, feel the groove," Clone Himaru said in a low and husky voice, his hand deliberately touching Itsuka's hand holding the drumsticks, creating a brief touch but leaving a mark on the girl's heart.

The unexpected brief touch made Itsuka's heart beat faster than the drum tempo she was playing, and she immediately lost focus on the drum set in front of her. "A-ah, yes, I understand, Himaru-kun," Itsuka replied falteringly, trying to hide her nervousness behind her forced cheerful smile.

After several months of hard and routine practice, the band "The Clones" began to produce proud and high-quality musical works. They created several catchy, easy listening, and energetic original songs.

They also re-arranged several popular songs from 'previous life' with their unique and innovative musical touch. Their songs sounded fresh, modern, and very radio-friendly, having great potential to become hits among young people.

"We must immediately upload our original songs to Metube and Spotitune! Don't delay any longer!" Clone Himaru exclaimed enthusiastically after practice, his eyes sparkling with ambition and high self-confidence. "With the hit songs we've created, our channel will definitely explode on the internet! We will become Metube and Spotitune stars! We will be famous and rich!"

Momo, Itsuka, and Emilia agreed enthusiastically and cheered. They immediately created a Metube channel and Spotitune account with the same name as their band name, "The Clones", and immediately uploaded their first music video, an original song written by Clone Himaru with an ambiguous and mysterious title, "Love Net". The music video was packaged professionally and attractively, featuring the four band members who were enthusiastic and full of talent.

Clone Himaru smiled contentedly and slyly as he saw their first music video successfully uploaded on Metube perfectly, and their song "Love Net" entered various popular playlists on Spotitune. 'The net has been neatly cast, the music has been made perfectly, the bait has been set,' he thought to himself, with full confidence that his ambitious 'net casting' plan would soon bear sweet and satisfying results.

'Just wait for the foolish prey to be captivated by the bait I gave, and willingly enter my deadly net. Hehehe...' Clone Himaru laughed inwardly, imagining his band's bright and glorious future, and of course, his greatest dream as a skilled love fisherman.

Meanwhile, the original Himaru was still struggling with the emotionless robot in the dark depths of the dungeon, unaware of the storm of romance and intrigue being created by his clone at school, a storm that would one day hit his life and change everything.
