MHA: A system of whimsy

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Basic Hero Training

After assessing each other, we headed out to the training ground...

That's where we met him again.

Omnipotent.

I'm still amazed by his aura... It seemed unintentional, but he evoked a warm, yet overwhelming feeling of security.

Impressive.

It is quite understandable why it was called a symbol of peace...

For years I had only seen him on TV, and here he was, our teacher. My brother, although he didn't admit it, was a fan of his. He became a secret fan when he entered high school.

I hope this hero can teach us a lot. Although I did not share the ideas of the hero society, I respected strong people very much, because I myself once wanted to surpass them. Especially him.

Perhaps this is where my brother and I were similar.

And so the time has come for another test...

[Only victory

3 minutes - x1. 2 minutes - x2. 1 minute - x3.

When the requirements for the participants and the essence of the test were announced, I received another task. Frankly, I was surprised... Now it seemed like a pattern. Only a few days had passed, and I had another chance to get points. It won't be easy, of course, but still, it's heaven and earth compared to what was before. Hero Academy is a real treasure trove!

As for the test...

We were divided into two groups - Heroes and Villains. Teams of two people. The battle will take place indoors. The goal of the heroes is to find and touch the bomb. Of course, it would not be a bad idea to neutralize the villains.

The villains' goal is to protect the bomb or capture the heroes.

Of course, time is limited. In general, as in my task.

However, if here everything was given more than ten minutes, I had only 3, and if I aim for the best result, then only one. It is also worth considering that if I do not cope in three, then failure awaits me.

Even if I was the strongest in the class... Only Todoroki could be a problem. If I was lucky with the opponent and was on the "heroes", then even one minute would not be a problem. However, if I was the villain, then things would get complicated because I would have to defeat two "heroes" at once, who could run away. Especially if these heroes were "inconvenient" opponents who could stall for time.

Well, let's see the result of the draw...

- Yaoyorozu?

- Huh? Are you with me?

What luck... Although, it can hardly be called that. One way or another, you will still have to rely only on yourself.

Smiling at her, I said:

- I'll try to bring us an easy victory.

Momo smiled back:

- With you we have every chance.

Many were clearly envious, looking at us with irritation. Well, considering my strength, it's understandable...

However, everything depended on what the Almighty would pull out there. Although, I already guessed, having ended up in a team with Yaoyorozu.

Villains.

Well, I told you...

The first to fight, as was in canon, will be teams A and D. My brother versus Midoriya... Katsuki was really fired up.

Well, let him let off some steam. Consider that minus one problematic opponent.

We all headed to the command center. Now all we could do was wait. However, it seemed to me that the threads of the original plot had already intertwined with me, and without serious variables, everything was unlikely to go awry.

It was worth remembering the entrance exams, the quirk test, and even this battle... I was definitely taken into account, but the fates of the others hardly changed at all. Although, I don't think it's worth relying on that. Things will start to change soon, I'm sure of it. And I won't sit still when the chance to neutralize my potential enemies appears.

And just when I thought that everything was going along a pre-determined path, the result of the First Battle showed how deeply mistaken I was and that my influence was much stronger than it seemed.

Uraraka and Midoriya were mercilessly beaten, the latter didn't even have time to use his quirk before he got blasted in the face several times.

Amazing... I never expected it to end like this. It seems I influenced Katsuki too much. Midoriya wanted to rely on his predictable movements, but he clearly didn't take into account that I often relied on them, which Bakugou got a good beating from. So he had to adapt and turn on his brain.

Just when Midoriya thought he had caught him, he received a blow to the back of the head...

He didn't think he could defeat my brother that easily, did he?

Hmm, it's not that I'm not proud of this idiot...

Well, I'll take note of this incident.

Katsuki and Iida came back and the first thing I heard was...

"So, how do you like it, Koji? Can you compete with me, huh?!" he asked me in a provocative tone.

I replied mockingly:

- Are you proud that you beat Midoriya for the thousandth time? How strong and scary you are...

- Oh, you! Do you want to punch me in the face?!

Heh, I hope Midoriya shows himself again and keeps this idiot busy.

Then All Might began to analyze the battle that had taken place and, understandably, made Katsuki the key character.

No one argued with him, considering that his brother had taken out Team D before any of them had a chance to show off their skills.

Then the next battle began, Todoroki was involved, so the outcome was obvious. He simply froze everything and "defusal" the bomb.

The battles continued until Yaoyorozu and I...

Denki and Kyouka became our opponents from the "hero" camp.

When we arrived at the place and began to wait for the signal, I turned to my sweet "accomplice" in this "villainous" operation:

- Yaoyorozu, could you make me a cloak?

- Huh? Why?

- Kaminari's quirk could be a problem.

- Hmm... You're right!

Luckily, Yaoyorozu was smart enough and aware of the quirks of others, so she immediately made me a special cloak with insulation. Of course, if Denki is not a fool, he will not use his power near Jiro, but something told me that he might go for it on emotions.

Our plan with Yaoyorozu was simple. I was going to use the same strategy as Katsuki. It would be more difficult given Jiro's quirk. But there was no other option. My time was limited many times over, and with every second that passed, I was getting closer to failure.

One minute is the limit!

I had no doubts about my victory, so Momo didn't have to do anything, not even mine the position. As soon as the signal sounded to start the battle, I immediately took off!

*BOOM!*

Smashed the floor to smithereens, and then proceeded to destroy everything in its path. Not the best strategy when the enemy is avoiding a head-on collision, however...

*BOOM!*

- Found it.

And he reached them before they could escape.

- Aaaaah?! K-koji! - Denki screamed when I jumped down from above.

"Oh, shit..." Kyoka only managed to say this when I knocked her out with one blow.

Forty seconds.

And now you...

*Bz-z-z*

As I thought, in a moment of panic he might resort to his quirk, however...

*Boom*

I just pushed off the blast and...

*Bang*

- Cough! - Denki hit him in the stomach, suppressing all his intentions.

Clean work.

If the building had been bigger, there would have been more problems. But in reality, the building was designed so that there was only one path to each floor. Sooner or later, I would have found them. To some extent, my pursuit had driven them into a corner. Of course, they could have hidden or split up, but here I and the training conditions left them no chance. Splitting up was unprofitable. All they could do was buy time, but there was no point in that. In the end, they would never have been able to defuse the bomb, even if I had just sat there. They were literally unlucky with their opponents and the position of the "heroes".

That's how it all ended. It's not that I was unlucky. If they had realized that they only needed to win a minute, they probably would have managed it by hiding in a corner.

Well, thanks to Denki and Kyouka...

[Only victory. Successfully accomplished!

Completion condition: win the test battle.

Reward: 30,000 System Points. Strength Upgrade x3]

Being on the "evil" side isn't so bad. Heh...

Now I was one step closer to the new quirk. If I completed a few more tasks or dealt with my mom, I could get it before the sports festival.

Let's see...

By evening, our joint training was over, and then we began to go home. I suggested to Yaoyorozu that we celebrate our small victory at a nearby cafe, and to my surprise, this time she agreed.
