Chapter 9: Lustful eyes
Silas's POV
I immediately turned towards Damon. "Damon, who are these people?" Hearing my words, he glanced at me but said nothing and focused ahead on his driving.
I turned back toward the window and looked outside. It was hard to tell how many people were in those cars and who they were.
Suddenly, Damon brought the car to a halt. As soon as he stopped, the car beside us moved ahead and blocked our path as if cutting off the way.
Damon unbuckled his seatbelt. I kept staring at him, wondering if he was planning to step out and confront them.
"Silas, like a good boy, stay quietly inside the car. No matter what happens, don't get out, and don't make a sound. The car windows are tinted, so they won't be able to see you from outside. Do you understand me?"
Finishing his words, Damon looked directly at me, waiting for my confirmation. I didn't ask any further questions and simply nodded in agreement.
As soon as I nodded, Damon and Kael opened the car doors and stepped out, leaving me alone inside.
But my eyes were fixed outside because I wanted to see what was about to happen.
The moment they got out, several thugs emerged from those cars, armed with weapons in their hands.
All of them were wearing black T-shirts with a moon symbol on them. For some reason, I felt like I had seen them somewhere before, but I couldn't recall where.
"Gotten into the habit of messing with us, haven't you? Otherwise, you wouldn't keep chasing us. But no problem, I'm not in a good mood either, so I'll take my anger out on you lot," Kael said, stepping toward the thugs.
Damon moved forward with him. The thugs, armed with weapons, charged toward the two of them to attack. Damon grabbed one by the head and slammed it against the ground with incredible force. Kael and Damon, moving at lightning speed, showed no mercy as they cleared their enemies out of the way.
Well, it made sense—they were the princes of the Bloodfang Pack, after all, and such strength was to be expected from them.
"Grrr..."
I was watching the two of them when that sound came from the window to my right. Slowly, I turned my gaze toward the window and saw a boy pressing his face against the glass, looking inside.
His eyes didn't look normal. They were hollow, empty. But he probably couldn't see inside, could he? Damon had said the car windows were tinted.
The boy was growling, grr grr, and it looked extremely strange. I sat completely still, hoping he wouldn't realize there was someone inside the car. But then, I noticed our eyes met—probably just my imagination.
"Guys, their lover is sitting in the car! Hurry up! And it's an omega!"
The moment his words reached my ears, I understood—he had actually seen me. And when he shouted to inform his friends, Damon and Kael heard it too.
I quickly locked the car doors. Within moments, the thugs surrounded the car. Damon and Kael were still fighting, but there were too many of them.
Damon came straight to the car, fighting off the thugs to protect it. I could see that the two of them might not be able to handle all of them.
So, I unlocked the car doors and stepped outside. The moment I did, I was met with hungry and lust-filled gazes, all fixed on me. Seeing me standing outside, Damon's eyes widened in shock.
"Are you insane? Why did you step outside? Can't you see how dangerous it is out here?"
Well, there was truth in Damon's words, but he doesn't really know me yet, does he? That's why he's saying this.
"I just caught the scent of strawberry pheromones, but I didn't expect to find such a cute omega," said the boy who had been peeking into the car earlier. He started moving toward me, and I instinctively stepped back.
Suddenly, all the boys surrounded me from every side. Damon immediately came and stood beside me, ready to protect me. He began fighting them without hesitation.
"How dare you even think about touching him?" Damon said in a cold tone before punching that boy straight in the face.
After a few of Damon's blows, the boy collapsed to the ground, injured. But seeing this only enraged the others standing there even more.
Suddenly, someone grabbed my hand from behind and pulled me forcefully. When I turned to look at the person, his eyes were filled with lust, and he was licking his lips as he stared at me.
I grabbed his hand tightly.
"Silas, what the hell are you doing? Get away from that alpha right now!" Damon's angry voice reached my ears. The boy looked pleased that I had grabbed his hand.
Turning my back to him, I twisted his arm, letting him think I had given in. Seeing my back turned, he tried to touch it with his other hand.
But just then, I grabbed his arm, swung him over my shoulder, and slammed him directly into the ground.
"Ughhhh," he groaned in pain, writhing before my eyes. Watching him suffer brought me a strange sense of satisfaction.
I'm pretty sure I broke his spine; that's why he's writhing so much. But why should I care? He made the mistake of trying to touch me, so he deserved the punishment, didn't he?
"What the fuck? Who the hell hit you like that?" Another boy stepped forward and crouched beside the one writhing in pain. He was probably their leader, given that he was the only one wearing a red jacket.
Seeing his comrade in such agony, the leader turned to glare at me, his eyes filled with rage, because the whimpering monkey had pointed at me, signaling that I was the one who did this to him.
If it hurt so much, he should've just kept his mouth shut, right? What was the need to go tattling to his leader about me beating him up?
"Hey, was it you who hit my member? How dare you?" the leader stood up, shouting at me in anger.
