Chapter 10: He is beautiful
Damon's POV
As soon as I saw Silas standing outside, surrounded by alphas, my heart raced for reasons I couldn't quite explain.
I had told him to stay inside the car, to not come out no matter what, yet there he was.
Didn't he realize how dangerous this situation could be? The entire area was saturated with alphas' pheromones.
It was more than likely that Silas' heat cycle could be triggered because of it.
When that alpha looked at Silas with lust-filled eyes, I knew exactly what he was thinking about doing to him.
After all, I was an alpha too, and I could read those thoughts.
But for some reason, hearing him talk about Silas like that made my blood boil.
And when he mentioned the strawberry pheromones scent, everything became clear.
When I touched Silas in front of the mansion, the strawberry scent I smelled was actually Silas's pheromones. I can only sense Silas's pheromones.
Before I could think further, my body moved on its own. I charged forward and started beating that alpha relentlessly.
All I wanted was to eliminate every threat near Silas as quickly as possible.
I attacked with all my strength, taking down anyone who came close to him.
But while fighting, when I glanced at Silas, I saw him holding another boy's hand—another alpha's hand.
The sight set me ablaze with fury. My blood boiled, and I called out to Silas, but he didn't respond. Instead, he stood there holding that alpha's hand.
I barely had time to focus on him, as someone tried to attack me. I quickly dealt with the attacker and turned my attention back to Silas.
And then I saw it—Silas was placing that alpha's hand on his shoulder, about to throw him. It wasn't possible. An omega couldn't lift an alpha.
The physical disparity was far too great. Alphas are born strong, while omegas are inherently weaker. There was no way Silas could lift that alpha and throw him.
But then, defying all logic, Silas effortlessly slammed the alpha into the ground.
Not just slammed—he did it with such force that the alpha, despite his strength, was left writhing and crying in pain.
The satisfaction on Silas' face spoke volumes about how powerful he truly was.
For a moment, it felt like I was watching a scene straight out of a drama, with Silas as the lead—a strong omega unlike any other.
This was my first time encountering someone like Silas. Other omegas usually blush the moment they see us.
They speak gently, with an air of elegance. But Silas? He speaks in a way that doesn't just lack blush—it makes the other person laugh.
And his temper? It flares up so quickly that he's ready to fight at the drop of a hat. Even in the car, he was ready to go at it with Kael.
Watching him now, it's hard to believe he's afraid of anything. Not even these pheromones seem to have any effect on him.
He stands there fearlessly, having just beaten an alpha into submission.
I was watching everything when the leader appeared in front of Silas. I was just about to step forward to protect him, but then I noticed Kael stepping in and standing behind Silas.
The leader was advancing toward Silas, and for some reason, Silas began stepping back, eventually bumping into Kael's chest.
"You knocked that guy down so easily, and now you're scared of this one? Stupid." Even in such a situation, Kael couldn't stop teasing him.
But with Kael standing by his side, there was nothing to worry about, especially since our bodyguards were only two minutes away from reaching us.
The leader scanned Silas from head to toe. I admit Silas isn't like other omegas—he's powerful—but above all, he's stunningly beautiful.
Anyone who lays eyes on him would instantly want him. Silas, perhaps, doesn't even realize how breathtakingly beautiful he is.
For the first time, I felt compelled to compliment someone. Until now, I've never found anyone beautiful, not even Orion. I always kept my distance from him.
I stepped forward to where the three of them were standing.
Silas was in front of Kael, and the leader stood facing them. As I approached the leader, I overheard him speak.
"You're an omega. Have you forgotten your place? Omegas only look good moaning beneath alphas, not showcasing their strength. And for my member's sake, I won't rest until I completely ruin your body."
The leader bit his lips as he stared at Silas. Silas's fists clenched tightly, and I was sure he was about to hit that alpha.
But before he could take a step forward, I first removed my glasses from my eyes and placed them in my pocket. Then I moved.
I grabbed the leader's collar from behind, yanked him back, and slammed him straight to the ground.
Without thinking, I straddled him and began punching his face repeatedly.
Blow after blow landed on his face until my fists were covered in blood, and his face was mangled and bleeding profusely.
The leader tried to push me off with both hands, but I grabbed one of his arms and twisted it until the bone snapped.
He was already half-dead, but for some reason, my rage wouldn't subside.
All I wanted was to kill him. That's when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Are you trying to kill him, Damon? Stop!"
It was Silas's voice. As soon as I inhaled his scent, I suddenly felt completely calm.
Kael helped me get up off the leader, and I stood with Kael's assistance.
Just then, several of our cars arrived, and our bodyguards stepped out.
I wiped the blood off my hand with Kael's handkerchief and took my glasses out of my pocket, putting them back on.
My gaze then shifted to Silas—what must he be thinking about me now? I had just shown him my animalistic side.
Would he be afraid of me now, or would he no longer want to be involved with me? But I need him to be cast in my drama.
He was looking right at me, and then he stepped forward to stand in front of me.
"Are you okay, Damon?" Hearing his words, I let out a sigh of relief—he wasn't afraid of me.
"Forget about me. Are you okay?" I asked him in return. He was already injured, with a wound on his head that seemed to have reopened.
But since these people were chasing our cars, we decided to send Mom and Dad to the hospital first and lured these guys toward the forest.
"What could possibly happen to me? I'm perfectly fine," Silas said with a laugh, easing my worries a little. Our bodyguards had taken control of the situation.
This group had attacked us for the second time now. It's clear I'll have to do something about them soon.
"Let's head to the hospital now," I said, holding Silas's hand and guiding him to the car.
Once he was seated, I got in as well and motioned for Kael, who was giving instructions to the bodyguards before we left. He soon joined us in the car.
"Alright, bro, let's go now," Kael said, leaning his head back against the seat.
Silas looked exhausted—his eyes had turned red, and every time he blinked, he seemed on the verge of dozing off.
But then, he'd force his eyes wide open, clearly trying to keep himself awake.
"Silas," I called out to him, and he immediately jolted in surprise. His eyes were heavy with sleep, and he seemed a bit disoriented.
"Yes, Damon? Have we reached the hospital?" he asked, his voice soft and drowsy. I glanced at him briefly while driving, unable to help noticing how adorable he looked in that moment.
"No, we haven't reached yet. It'll take a little more time. Why don't you rest? Take a nap. Look, even Kael has dozed off," I said.
Hearing me, Silas turned to glance at Kael, who had his eyes closed and head resting against the seat. Satisfied, Silas looked ahead again.
He then adjusted his seat, reclining it fully, pulled his legs up onto the seat, and curled up like a ball. Soon, he was fast asleep.
At that moment, he looked even more adorable than before.
"Bro, his feet are dirty. They'll mess up your car seat," Kael commented. As soon as I heard him, I abruptly stopped the car.
"Why did you stop the car?" Kael asked, confused.
Without responding, I took off my coat and draped it over Silas, noticing that he was shivering slightly.
"As for my car getting dirty because of his feet, I don't care," I said, glancing at Kael. "If such tiny and cute feet are making my car dirty, then so be it."
Kael stayed quiet after hearing me, and I resumed driving. After a while, we finally arrived at the hospital, but Silas was still asleep.
"Hey, stupid, wake up!" Kael tried yelling at him, but Silas didn't wake up. So, I reached over, placed one arm under his neck and the other around his knees, lifting him into my arms.
I carried him to the hospital and took him to a separate ward. His sleep still hadn't been disturbed.
I told the doctor to dress his wounds and then went with Kael to check on Mom.
She was fine, and hearing that made me feel relieved.
