Marvel: Trading with Worlds

Chapter 305: C195(2)

The chariot's protective spells ensured they were completely safe, and the fire dragon, reinforced by magic, had nothing to fear from the White Sea above the sky.

"Sky Island really exists... This must be the White Sea mentioned in the records."

Through the window, Nico Robin observed the ever-changing white sea outside. She even caught sight of a strange fish swimming in the empty sky.

Soon, the fire dragon soared across the White Sea and arrived at a lush jungle—one formed from the Sky Island's unique White Clouds and the surrounding White Sea.

Kain stepped out of the chariot and instructed Robin:

"Get down. We'll have to find another way in. That Thunder Fruit user has Observation Haki strong enough to cover the entire Sky Island. I don't know if magic can completely conceal our presence."

Robin was surprised by his words. "Such knowledge, boss... Looks like I'll be waiting for you outside."

She understood Observation Haki, but being able to sense an entire island was a feat achieved only by the truly powerful. If they engaged in battle, it would surely cause a massive commotion.

Kain continued, "I'll drop you off near Angel Island first. Stay there for now, and I'll find you after I deal with the Thunder Fruit user."

With that, Kain activated his magic, transforming into a silver-white phoenix using Animagus magic.

As a bird, even if Enel sensed him, he likely wouldn't pay too much attention. After all, the Thunder Fruit's escape abilities were absurdly overpowered.

Even though it wasn't in Enel's nature to run from a fight, Kain wasn't willing to take any chances—if something went wrong, the consequences would be costly.

"A Mythical Beast?"

Robin gasped as a massive silver-white phoenix appeared before her. She instinctively covered her mouth in astonishment.

Based on her knowledge, she couldn't identify exactly what kind of bird it was, but it felt like a phoenix.

Kain glanced at her. "This is magic. Get ready."

Without another word, he flapped his enormous silver wings, taking off into the sky.

As he ascended, he extended his phoenix claws, grabbing Nico Robin and soaring toward the higher Sky Island, ignoring her startled exclamation.

Kain had prepared extensively to capture Enel, so he couldn't afford any mistakes.

The phoenix's flight speed rivaled that of his fire dragon, but something unexpected happened—after transforming with Animagus magic, instincts unique to the phoenix began to emerge in his mind.

Now, he understood why wizards warned against transforming into magical creatures—their entire magic system was different from that of wizards. Some who attempted it could never change back.

But Kain was different. With Phoenix DNA and the Extremis virus in his body, he had already become a magical being.

"Vulcan's Descent!"

That was the name he gave to his phoenix ability—a power that allowed him to teleport himself and others by spontaneously combusting in phoenix flames.

In this form, his perception had also drastically improved.

From six or seven kilometers away, he could clearly sense numerous life forms on Angel Island. This wasn't just due to his phoenix instincts, but also the influence of natural energy.

Boom!

A burst of phoenix fire flashed.

Before Robin could process what was happening, she felt herself plummeting from the sky.

"What's going on?!"

From her perspective, the massive silver-white bird vanished in an instant, and now she was falling rapidly.

"Hana Hana no Mi!"

She instinctively activated her Devil Fruit powers, but it was useless—there was nothing in the air to grab onto.

Just as panic began to set in, she suddenly felt her descent slowing until, a moment later, she came to a complete stop.

"Saved?"

Nico Robin opened her eyes and found herself suspended less than two meters above the ground. She quickly turned and landed lightly on her feet.

Glancing at her wrist, she saw that her shimmering bracelet had returned to its normal state. Only then did she let out a small sigh of relief.

"This looks like a coastline... That shameless boss must have dropped me off on the beach of Angel Island. I might as well start gathering information."

It was Robin's first time on Sky Island, and despite the situation, she felt a strong urge to explore.

She soon found a man-made path leading up the mountain and followed the stone steps—if she continued along these roads, she was bound to run into some locals.

….

The residence of the gods.

Ever since the previous god, Gan Fall, was overthrown, the Sanctuary had been occupied by the new ruler—Enel.

However, this land had not always belonged to the Skypieans. It was originally part of Gaya Island in the Blue Sea but was launched into the sky centuries ago.

The Shandia people, the island's original inhabitants, had never stopped fighting to reclaim it.

Far above, within the Sanctuary, Enel sat idly, his senses stretched across Sky Island.

"How strange... A bird just dropped a monkey on Angel Island, and now that monkey is heading toward a crowded area."

Though he had sensed Kain and Nico Robin, his perception was partially distorted by magic, making their presence unclear.

Because of this, he didn't see them as intruders.

One of his four priests, Ohm, overheard Enel muttering to himself and stepped forward, bowing respectfully.

"God, what troubles you? Your priest is ready to serve you."

Enel threw his head back and laughed.

"Hahaha! No need, no need. If I actually needed a priest to catch a monkey, wouldn't that make the White Sanctuary look useless?"

Still, the four priests had been growing restless—the Shandia warriors hadn't launched an attack in far too long, and the lack of battle was starting to wear on them.
