"There's no way for the clansmen to stop being ninjas. They must obey Hokage's orders. Next, we'll have them stay under for a while."

Nara Shikaku knew that this tactic wouldn't work on Orochimaru. His goal was to manage his tribe, otherwise, he'd have to obey Hokage's orders after becoming a ninja, which could lead to an unexpected death.

"The Nara family has many businesses outside the Fire Country. I'll have the family open new ventures outside the village as a cover."

Yamanaka and Nara Shikaku had been teammates for more than ten years, and he knew exactly what Shikaku was going to say next.

"The same is true for the Yamanaka family. We'll have to lie low in the future. Even if Orochimaru takes the position of Hokage, it won't be soon. He'll have to be cautious about targeting us."

"So does the Akamichi clan."

In addition to these points, Nara Shikaku also proposed many ways to handle the situation, but he and Yamanaka Haiichi shared the same idea. 

Even if Orochimaru becomes Hokage, they believe he won't take any action against them within the next six months. They still have time.

The friendship between the Ino-Shika-Chō and the Sarutobi clans is long-standing. Before the village was established, the four clans formed a deep bond; when Sarutobi Hiruzen served as Hokage, the Ino-Shika-Chō clan also benefited greatly. Their friendship is something that cannot be divided.

Now, they can only try to prevent Orochimaru from suppressing them. After all, in this incident, both sides have almost reached a point of open conflict.

Nara Shikaku suddenly asked, "Master Third Hokage, what about the elders of the Mito clan and the elders of the favourable clans?" 

Although the two were originally commoner ninjas, they had served as consultant elders for more than ten years. They had accumulated a lot of power and would be a great help if won over.

Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded knowingly and replied, "I'll speak with them, but Utatane Koharu's situation is a bit problematic." 

Under pressure, he had to detain Utatane Koharu in the interrogation department, as he couldn't explain the situation with the Konoha finance department otherwise.

This matter was very troublesome, and Sarutobi Hiruzen knew he needed to resolve it quickly, while most of the power in Konoha was still under his control.

The group continued to discuss for several hours. Even Namikaze Minato raised a few concerns. Finally, they left the Sarutobi clan's compound. 

Jiraiya, however, left Sarutobi Hiruzen's house without saying a word, his expression suddenly solemn. He then jumped onto the roof and left.

"Kakashi."

Nohara Rin found Kakashi at the agreed-upon dumpling shop. Seeing his thoughtful expression, she couldn't help but ask, "Kakashi, what are you thinking? By the way, what happened in today's meeting? You look so strange."

The Jōnin meeting had just concluded, and the daimyo hadn't left the village yet. It turned out that the blockade wasn't really a blockade. 

At least all the Jōnin and higher-ranked ninjas knew, but the middle and lower-ranked ninjas had no idea that the village had elected a new Fourth Hokage.

"It's nothing. Just thinking about when to send some living expenses to Obito's grandmother. Rin, don't ask about the Jōnin meeting. If you do, someone might question you." Kakashi explained, cautioning Rin that everything discussed in the Jōnin meeting was confidential. 

Random inquiries or leaks would attract attention from Anbu, although Anbu probably didn't have much time to investigate right now.

"Okay, I won't ask. I'll be a medical Jōnin soon, and I'll check things out for you. Ten million ryo? Kakashi, where did you get that?" Rin asked, surprised when she saw the passbook, double-checking the numbers to make sure she read it correctly.

"With this money, Obito's grandmother should be able to live more comfortably."

Kakashi didn't answer Rin's question directly. Instead, he handed her the passbook and said, "Rin, please take care of this matter. Someone is looking for me tonight..."

"Who?" Rin asked, puzzled.

Nohara Rin stared and asked. Kakashi had always been withdrawn in the village, and even people at the same rank seldom talked to him. 

How could someone suddenly come to him? This couldn't be—could it?

"Kakashi, that kind of thing is absolutely not allowed," Nohara Rin reminded in a low voice. Thanks to Kain's constant delivery of novels to the ninja world, even Nohara Rin now understood some of the more famous novel elements.

"It's my father. He works as a guardian ninja in the Daimyo's Prefecture. He returned to Konoha today."

Kakashi saw that Rin was overthinking, so he explained briefly and then left directly.

His father was probably waiting for him at the izakaya.

Kakashi wasn't waiting for Nohara Rin; he had already gone to chat with his father.

Seeing Kakashi about to leave, Nohara Rin quickly reminded him, "I made an appointment for an eye examination for you. Remember to come to Konoha Hospital tomorrow morning."

It wasn't until she saw Kakashi wave that Nohara Rin felt at ease. However, then she got a headache. How should she explain such a large amount, like 10 million ryo, to Obito's grandmother?

Meanwhile somewhere else

She gasped for a moment, like a fish out of water. After resting for a while, she grabbed the cushion beside her and put it under her waist to prop herself up.

"Kushina, what are you doing?"

With a blushing face, Kushina stretched out her fist and hit Kain twice, then said shyly, "This is what Mikoto taught me. It can increase the chance of having a baby."

Kain smiled helplessly. "You don't need to listen to Mikoto-san for everything. This is like the Land of Rain asking the Land of Wind for advice on flood control policies."

Kushina, feeling a bit embarrassed but also realizing the truth in his words, touched her lower abdomen, which felt swollen. She didn't really need the cushion at all.

But, being teased by Kain like this made her both embarrassed and angry. Now, though, she was too exhausted to do anything more. 

She barely managed to pull the pillow up and then hid under the covers, mumbling, "Come with me to the hospital tomorrow."

"Good."

After Kain answered, he didn't hear Kushina's reply. Looking down, he realized she had fallen asleep. He then used magic to clean up and settled in to sleep with Kushina in his arms.
