Marvel Shuttling the Heavens

Chapter 273: The Monster's Demise

As Li Yue prepared to unleash his Kamehameha wave, the intelligent monster, the Razorback Turtle, eyed him warily. It could keenly sense the enormous and rapidly increasing power within the energy ball Li Yue was forming. Known for its cunning in the original story, the Razorback Turtle would even retreat when harmed and could collaborate with others to launch surprise attacks.

This time, although it didn't turn tail and run, it stopped staring dumbly at Li Yue and began to take action. The thick carapace on its head split open, revealing a glowing emitter. Like Li Yue, it started gathering energy, its head's emitter charging up to release its ultimate move: an electromagnetic pulse.

In the movie, its electromagnetic pulse incapacitated the mechs and surrounding electronic devices, demonstrating its immense power. Fortunately, the mech Gipsy Avenger, with its outdated systems, was unaffected and managed to defeat the monsters. But now, facing Li Yue, the Razorback Turtle's pulse would be ineffective against him. However, if it succeeded, the nearby electronic systems would still be paralyzed.

...

"You think you can pull off a big move? Think again!"

Li Yue sneered as he observed the Razorback Turtle's actions. "Your move isn't ready yet, but mine is."

Due to the monster's slower movements, it was significantly behind Li Yue in charging its ultimate attack. Sensing his Kamehameha was fully charged, Li Yue decided not to wait for the monster to complete its move. He pushed the blue energy ball toward the Razorback Turtle.

A blue beam shot towards the monster's head, still gathering energy. Despite its intelligence, the Razorback Turtle couldn't react in time. It watched helplessly as the blue beam pierced its head, then continued through its massive body, leaving a gaping hole.

...

Li Yue aimed to eliminate the monster without causing collateral damage to nearby civilians. He used spatial energy, unlike explosive lightning energy, which wouldn't result in a devastating blast. Spatial energy would consume the monster's body, preventing its blood from polluting the area. Li Yue's plan, based on Xiao Dai's simulations, should have ensured no unexpected outcomes.

However, the Razorback Turtle had accumulated significant electric energy in its head for the electromagnetic pulse. Though it hadn't finished charging, it had reached about 70-80%. The sudden exposure of this electric energy to the spatial energy caused an explosion.

Boom… Hum…

Though less potent than Li Yue's lightning energy blasts, the explosion was still significant. The shockwave created massive waves, dousing the nearby Storm Crimson mech. Fortunately, the mech was waterproof and designed for underwater combat, so the water caused no harm. However, the explosion also emitted a strong electromagnetic pulse, a silver electric wave that spread nearly a kilometer before dissipating.

Although weaker than the movie's fully charged pulse, the proximity caused Storm Crimson's internal circuits to be severely damaged.

...

"We should've backed off to watch from a distance!" Wei Hu lamented as sparks flew around them.

"You're always wise after the fact! You were mesmerized by that energy wave!" Wei Jin retorted.

"Stop arguing! Thankfully, the monster is dead. Otherwise, we'd be in serious trouble," Wei Xiang, the eldest brother, intervened. "I've notified headquarters. Support should arrive soon."

"Prepare yourselves. The General will likely invite that mysterious person back to the base. We should meet him and express our gratitude, but be cautious not to anger him. You saw what happened to the monster."

"Understood, big brother. I'll be careful."

"I'll keep quiet, to be safe," Wei Jin and Wei Hu agreed, recalling the monster's fate and the mysterious man's terrifying power.

...

Meanwhile, the monster's massive corpse was being consumed by spatial energy. More than half of the 80-meter-tall monster had disappeared in less than a minute.
