Chapter 270: Chapter 270
Bruce Wayne: "Is that so? Then I need to study this more closely."
Strange: "There should be magic spells capable of dealing with vengeful spirits, right?"
Mordo: "Of course. Kamar-Taj has extensive experience in handling malevolent entities."
Zoro: "I remember my Zanpakutō can cut souls. I wonder if it could hurt this spirit."
Brook: "Well, we won't know until she appears in front of us."
Usopp: "I never want that thing to show up!"
Naruto: "Ero-sennin, can ninjutsu affect spirits?"
Jiraiya: "Hmm… I'm not sure. I've never fought one before. Maybe Shiki Fūjin could work?"
Tsunade: "That technique seals both the target and the user into the Death God's stomach for an eternal battle. I wouldn't recommend it."
Nobita: "Doraemon! You must have a gadget that can deal with ghosts, right?"
Doraemon: "I do… but I've never actually used it on real spirits before. I'm not sure if it would work. Also, your Defense Against the Dark Arts class teaches about ghosts. You should study more."
Nobita: "Ugh! More studying?!"
Shizuka: "Nobita, let's at least try to learn more about this."
Goku: "This seems like a really fun opponent! I'd love to fight her!"
Manigault: "Who cares about their abilities? Just burn their souls directly."
As everyone continued discussing, the screen predicted where Kayako and Toshio would appear next.
["Current prediction: Kayako and Toshio will manifest in the TPC Headquarters of the Ultraman Tiga universe."]
Daigo: "WHAT?! They're appearing here?!"
Daigo never imagined that the vengeful spirits would appear in his world, let alone infiltrate his base.
Juran: "This is bad! If she appears inside, she could kill many people!"
Gen: "Daigo! You need to act fast!"
Daigo: "But what should I do? Should I transform and fight her immediately?"
Juran: "That might be your only option! Warn everyone first!"
Daigo: "Understood!"
Juran, being an Ultraman himself, took this matter very seriously.
From what he had seen of Daigo's battles, and his current nervous tone, it was clear—
Daigo was still a rookie.
If Daigo were in his universe, Juran would personally train him until he was battle-ready.
Right now, though, Daigo had no time to hesitate. He quickly grabbed his communicator and began contacting Super Victory Team to warn them.
"Daigo! What nonsense are you spouting? A ghost invasion? Have you been watching too many horror movies?!"
Vice Captain Munakata immediately scolded him.
"Exactly! Daigo, ghosts aren't scientific! If you said it was an alien invasion, I might believe it."
Horii chimed in, dismissing the idea.
"Impossible. TPC has the most advanced defense system. There's no way it could be infiltrated!"
Yazumi firmly declared.
But then—
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
A blaring alarm rang throughout the headquarters.
Red emergency lights flashed everywhere.
Everyone froze.
"ALERT! ALERT! UNKNOWN ENTITY DETECTED IN THE BASE!"
Then—
A horrifying sound erupted from every electronic device.
The screeching of static filled the air.
Daigo's communicator buzzed, its screen turning to snow.
"ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!"
The voice from the speakers distorted—
It began shifting from a deep male voice to a child's voice—
Then to a low, ominous woman's voice.
"DIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!"
The woman's voice dripped with venomous hatred.
A wave of pure malice flooded the room, making everyone's heads ache.
Sweat poured down their backs.
"AAAAAAH!!!"
Daigo instinctively threw his communicator away in terror.
When it hit the ground—
The woman's voice abruptly cut off.
Cautiously, Daigo bent down and picked it up.
Nothing.
Just silent static.
Then—
"THUMP!"
The lights in the base suddenly flickered and died.
Only the emergency lights remained, casting eerie shadows everywhere.
Daigo immediately drew his sidearm.
This was his first encounter with a spirit.
His hands trembled slightly.
"Where is she?"
His greatest fear was that she had already encountered someone—someone completely unprepared to deal with her.
Then—
"Master! I'm detecting a powerful energy signature coming from below!"
A deep, digital voice rang from his Digivice.
"A strong signal? Is it Kayako?!"
Daigo asked in alarm.
"I don't know, but the energy is filled with hatred. It's extremely hostile toward digital lifeforms like me."
His partner, Gallantmon, spoke with a serious tone.
"Maybe he was right… Maybe spirits are made of plasma energy…"
Daigo muttered.
Wasting no time, he rushed toward the lower levels of the base.
As he descended—
"Master! I sense many hostile signals!"
Gallantmon suddenly warned.
"What?! But there are only supposed to be two—Kayako and Toshio!"
Daigo gasped.
Then, he remembered—
The screen had mentioned that Kayako enslaved countless souls.
Could she have brought all those damned spirits here?!
A chill ran down his spine.
TPC Headquarters—
The frontline defense of Earth—
Had just become a haunted house.
"AAAAAHHHH!!!"
"HELP!!!"
"BANG! BANG! BANG!"
"BULLETS DON'T WORK!"
Terrified screams echoed from all directions.
The base was already under attack.
Daigo clenched his fists.
He wanted to rush to their aid—
But if he didn't stop Kayako now, it would only get worse.
If he transformed here, he would waste too much Ultraman Tiga's energy.
He needed a plan.
"Gallantmon! Can you fight these spirits?"
Daigo asked urgently.
"If their essence is similar to electromagnetic waves, then yes. I have a way to fight them."
Gallantmon responded after a moment of thought.
"Then I'm counting on you. If it's too dangerous, retreat immediately!"
Daigo instructed.
"Understood! Be careful, Master!"
With that, Daigo summoned Gallantmon.
The three-meter-tall Digimon appeared, barely fitting in the narrow corridor. He adjusted his stance before charging toward the chaos.
Meanwhile—
"The strongest energy signal is two floors below!"
Gallantmon called out.
Daigo nodded and rushed downward.
He had to find Kayako—
Before she wiped out everyone in TPC Headquarters.
