Marvel: I Need A New Body

The reason Erik bothered to go all the way to Washington D.C. to meet Alexander Pierce was to steal the code of Project Insight's threat analysis. Well, the trip got a bit longer as they had to go all the way to the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D. for that, but it was no big trouble at all.

Project Insight's threat analysis program was developed by Arnim Zola and it could identify the 'present' or 'future' threats of Hydra with almost perfect accuracy.

He also had to delete the records of experimentations on Wanda from the Hydra's databases.

Before leaving, Erik also planted a remote self-destruct program into the helicarriers, just in case there is a freakin' butterfly effect and Steve Rogers fails to thwart Hydra's plans.

And, of course, he wiped Pierce's memories of ever meeting him too.

After returning to the base on Mars, he stored the flash drive containing Zola's program in a safe place and decided to upgrade the program sometime in the future.

It was a useful piece of code but not something that he absolutely needed right now, and upgrading the code to identify the future threats to this country would take too much time. That's why, he'll work on this later.

Right now, he had to prepare for an Avengers-level show for the whole country and world to witness.

The previous month was quite hectic, even after that mass protest there were two similar events that boosted Wanda's image, making her a celebrity.

It was quite rare to see such a popular, young, beautiful, yet strict and devoted Military General, the internet loved this kind of gap and she became well-known. It wasn't like she became Tony Stark level famous but famous nonetheless.

A week later, Erik discovered that Fury had been 'killed'. That night, he gathered everyone for a feast, including Helen.

They were in their wooden cabin in the woods of Sokovia.

Helen's eyes wandered around the space, taking in the warm, rustic ambiance. It was her first time seeing this place and she liked the vibe of this place.

She settled on the couch with Wanda, Cindy, and Lilja. The girls chatted on as Erik and Pietro moved about, preparing for the feast.

A while later, the boys were done and they called the girls to the lawn. Apparently, they were having an outdoor BBQ.

Fairy lights were strung up between the trees, giving the lawn a warm, soft glow. A big table was set up with lots of delicious dishes, and the centerpieces were the two barbecue grills where the meat and vegetables were sizzling and smelling fantastic.

Wanda nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "They've outdone themselves."

Cindy clapped her hands in excitement. "I love BBQs!"

Well, Cindy loved almost every outdoor activity. Perhaps, the decade's worth of imprisonment in the bunker had something to do with it.

It wasn't like she was traumatized by the indoors or closed spaces or anything...

Helen also nodded, appreciating the warm ambiance.

"Wow, this looks amazing," Lilja exclaimed, her eyes wide with delight. "My mom used to tell me how she used to camp in the woods when she was sent on wars,"

"Is that so?" Erik smiled serving a freshly grilled piece of pork on her plate, "What about you, did you ever get a chance to go off-world, other than here?"

"No, Earth's my first... I'm just a newbie troop. It's been barely 20 years since I joined the militia..." Lilja sighed a bit of disappointment in her voice, but as soon as she bit the pork her eyes sparkled.

A satisfied smile came on her face, her hands reached her cheeks as if they were trying to support her melting cheeks. "It's delish!!"

Erik chuckled, "Pietro since now your girlfriend is probably gonna eat more than a dozen people's worth, you're in charge of making sure that her plate is not empty."

"Well, that's the whole reason I suggested we set up two grills," Pietro said, serving another piece of pork on Lilja's plate.

Laughing, Erik and Pietro continued to grill and serve the girls one by one, a while later Pietro and Erik ate too.

After that they all retired to their own rooms, Helen chose the room near the bedroom of Erik. She was feeling a bit daring and planned to masturbate to the sounds of their lovemaking but unfortunately, the FUCKING sound-proofing was too perfect.

The Korean Scientist didn't have enough courage to try any means to peek at them...

Defeated, the poor woman slept unsatisfied alone...

A few days later, the news of Hydra's deeds and even S.H.I.E.L.D.'s went public.

Nick Fury had done it!

With Natasha Romanoff, Captain America, and a few other's help he uploaded all the secrets of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra on the internet.

Thankfully, Erik didn't have to intervene anywhere. He merely oversaw the events unfolding from the skies, feeling like a god, and then returned home feeling a bit cringed out by his own Chunni-like thoughts and poses he struck when he was in the skies of America.

For most events of the known storylines, he didn't care if they were fucked up or not, but he needed the events of The Winter Soldier to conclude exactly the way they did in the canon.

It was necessary for his plans after all.

That night, Erik gathered everyone in the study room. The schematics and holograms filled the room. He gathered them here to brief them about the final phase of taking over the country. Helen was not present though.

Tomorrow they were finally going to establish Wanda as the ruling dictator of the Sokovian nation.

"You all did a really good job everyone, all the preparations are almost finished, and the whole Sokovian nation is almost with the palms of our hands."

Pietro chuckled, "You sound like a movie Villain!"

Erik snorted, "Well, I AM going to be a Villain tomorrow after all..."

"Well, we know about the plan Erik, it's morally questionable but not evil... but what about Avengers? If you're orchestrating an Avengers-level threat then given time, they're bound to arrive sooner or later."

Erik sighed, "Ah, yes, Avengers, yes... I have plans for them too. I really hope they don't come, the plans I have for them are not so friendly."

After telling them again about the plans for tomorrow, he called Thor and told him a bit about his schemes and told him to leave Earth and go to Asgard or something. He didn't tell him about his plans for Avengers though.

Thor was a bit worried about this plan of his but then decided not to butt in unnecessarily. Such politics are rampant in most of the nine realms, sometimes they were even nastier. In front of those, what Erik was doing was quite tame. At least no one was getting sacrificed or hurt intentionally, except for a few people maybe.

"Well, you and Loki would probably get along well. These kinds of schemes are his favorite." Thor remarked with a chuckle.

Even Erik couldn't help but laugh at that.

Even Erik couldn't help but laugh at that. "Well, I can't deny that. He's my inspiration after all. But I assure you, Thor, I don't have any twisted hidden motives behind this, and no innocent person is going to lose their life."

Thor chuckled, "Of course, I trust you. Although, just in case if in the future you lose your way, know that I and the whole Asgardian Army will be there to bring you back to the light."

"That so, huh." Erik smirked, "Thanks, I guess. How about a duel someday in the future, to see if you really have the power to bring me to the right path if I strayed or not."

Thor laughed, "I accept your challenge, my friend. Let's have a bout someday soon."

After hanging up the call, Thor smiled at the thought of a duel with Eirikyr. The idea of his unstoppable hammer and lightning clashing against Eirikyr's all-controlling telekinesis seemed like a good challenge.

The next day at noon, the grand blue skies of Sokovia's capital city, Novi Grad, were disrupted by a massive, sparkly portal that appeared out of nowhere.

Deafening roars filled the air.

From that dammed portal descended the creatures that had laid waste to an entire city two years ago in New York.

The Chitauri invasion force, with their menacing hovercrafts and monstrous Leviathans, poured out of the portal, causing widespread panic and chaos among the people of Novi Grad.

It was as if history was repeating itself, only this time the target was a different city.
