Chapter 52. Summon! Is Asgard a Sacred Place for a Lottery?
On the summoning screen, after the vortex faded, ten glowing orbs and a single chest appeared before Noah.
[Best Sword] [Amplifying Tome] [Needlessly Large Rod] [Stopwatch]
"Oh? So much gear?" Noah raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Opening the first four glowing orbs, he found that they all contained equipment. He figured that was better than if he had drawn potions or totems.
Then he started opening the remaining orbs one by one.
[Random Champion Shard x1] [Random Champion Shard x1] [Boss Sett] [Random Champion Experience Card x1] [Random Skin Shard x1] [PROJECT: Warwick]
"What luck!"
When he drew a new champion, a flash of light pierced Noah's mind, and images associated with this champion emerged in his memory.
"I used to be called a kid, but now this kid has grown up."
After the memories settled, Noah shook his head and opened his eyes.
He examined his body and noticed that his physical strength had slightly increased, though not significantly.
Touching his head, he was relieved to find that he hadn't sprouted animal ears.
"Boss Sett! Not bad, even though it doesn't come with any major boosts. But if I can get his skin in the future, it'll be fantastic," Noah mused, testing the strength granted by the Sett template.
Sett, being half-human and half-Vastayan, possessed magical abilities and outstanding combat skills honed in underground fights. He also wielded a power called "Rage," which Noah understood after receiving his memories. This power allowed him to blend physical strength and magic, creating powerful strikes. Noah thought of it as battle energy.
For Noah, this turned out to be a useful skill. His physical strength, bolstered by the Resolve Rune, would only keep growing, allowing him to wield even greater power. He understood that summoning Sett had been quite advantageous.
Clenching his fist, he felt his body begin to glow with a golden light, and a golden aura appeared around him. His hair rose as if caught in an invisible wind.
If anyone were to see him now, they might think Noah was engulfed in golden flames.
"This is somewhat like Super Saiyan," Noah observed, looking at himself. This was a state he entered using Sett's powers. His whole body glowed with a golden hue, giving him a feeling of invincibility. His emotions also fueled "Rage," as Sett's strength increased when he took hits, turning fury into strength.
After savoring Sett's power, he dispelled the golden glow and looked at the other items he had received from the summon.
"Another PROJECT skin, this time for Warwick. This one looks pretty cool," Noah said, pressing the icon for "PROJECT: Warwick." After a flash of light, a USB drive, similar to the one he got with "PROJECT: Yasuo," appeared in his hand.
"Since I don't have the Warwick champion, I won't get the full power of the skin as I did with Yasuo," he thought, examining the USB drive. The skin would grant him only partial bonuses, just like "Program Lissandra."
"Lissandra, take a look at this," Noah said, holding the USB drive and connecting it to his belt.
A small nanotech tentacle extended from the belt and plugged into the USB. After a moment, Lissandra provided the scan results:
"Noah, here's the content of the USB."
A holographic display appeared in front of Noah, showing the drive's contents.
Examining the data, he realized that this time, he got something different. Last time, he received blueprints for creating Yasuo's combat suit from the PROJECT series, while now, these were the schematics for a mechanical hunter, "Judgment Day Warwick," specifically designed by PROJECT Corp. to hunt down heroes who had risen against the corporation.
"Well, these are blueprints for building Warwick. Not bad, another strong fighter for my robot army," Noah concluded. By his "robot army," he meant all the hextech robots he planned to create thanks to Heimerdinger's blueprints, like the hextech tyrannosaurus, hextech bear, and hextech dragon. With these new blueprints, his army would gain yet another powerful fighter.
"Two champion shards, one skin shard, one champion experience card, and four items. Luck is definitely on my side today—none of that junk like potions or totems," Noah said with satisfaction, looking at the remaining gear. He felt his luck had indeed improved in Asgard.
"Let's see what these champion shards are," he said, pressing the icons for the fragments.
[Shard: Fae Sorceress Lulu] [Shard: Curious Chameleon Neeko]
"Lulu and Neeko? Great," Noah said, looking at the shards he received. These champions had interesting abilities: Neeko's mimicry and her clones, as well as Lulu's spells, were quite amusing.
He immediately selected the "absorb power" option.
Two beams of light illuminated him, and Noah felt a surge of new abilities.
"Pix? Are you here, Pix? Hmm, seems like I didn't get the Pix fairy," he attempted to summon Pix, Lulu's companion fairy, but was unsuccessful. However, he felt that aside from Pix, he had acquired all the magical abilities he desired from Lulu.
"Shame there's no one to test this on. Well... no, using the furniture probably isn't a good idea; I don't want to wreck the room," he decided, putting off testing his abilities until the feast, where he planned to try them out on Volstagg.
He placed his hand on the chair he was sitting on, and his palm began to glow with purple light. Around the chair appeared a purple aura, and suddenly, after a flash of light, an identical chair appeared beside him.
"Wow, I turned into a chair. And I can talk!" Noah, having transformed into a chair, began moving, which looked quite amusing. The four legs of the chair stomped on the floor.
After experimenting with the transformation, he returned to his human form.
"Neeko's abilities are just fantastic. Seems like this energy is called Sho'ma?" he mused, looking at the purple glow in his hands. According to Neeko's skill descriptions, she used Sho'ma energy to transform into various objects. Sho'ma is the name of the soul for her people, and her ability to transform involves absorbing the soul energy of an object and using it to transform.
"Huh? Does a chair have a soul? Neeko seems to be able to transform into wards too. Do they have souls?" Noah was a bit confused but assumed that these soulless objects likely transformed using his own soul energy.
"Let's try this," he stood still, and suddenly, a shadow separated from his body, and an exact copy of him appeared in the room.
This was another ability he obtained from Neeko's shard—Shape Splitting. The ability to create his mirror image.
"It's similar to Loki's illusions, but you have to control it yourself," he observed his clone, realizing that it just stood there until he willed it to move. Noah decided to test its combat capabilities and instructed the double to kick the chair. The chair swayed from the impact.
"It can attack. Not bad," he thought. But that wasn't all he could do. Closing his eyes, he concentrated his magical energy and began creating more and more copies of himself.
"Phew, seems I can only maintain nine clones simultaneously," said the nine clones in unison.
"Uh, controlling nine clones at once is quite tricky," Noah muttered.
"Uh, co..."
"Bang!"
As the clones started speaking, Noah quickly dispersed them in a puff of smoke before they could finish. He realized he couldn't split his consciousness into nine parts to control them all simultaneously, which led to this situation.
"Now, let's look at these items," he laid out the gear he had received and took out the equipment from his bag.
In front of him were: a Blasting Wand, two Long Swords, a Dagger, a Cloak of Agility, a Chain Vest, two Stopwatches, Cloth Armor, Best Sword, Needlessly Large Rod, and Amplifying Tome.
Noah rubbed his chin, trying to recall the item recipes from the game, knowing he didn't need gold to buy recipes—just the necessary components.
"Best Sword plus Chain Vest is Guardian Angel!" Noah placed Best Sword and Chain Vest together, but nothing happened.
"Well, I guess the recipes from Teamfight Tactics don't work here," he said with a shrug.
"But I only remember these two items. What else is missing?" He looked over his items, trying to remember the missing part to create Guardian Angel. His gaze landed on the two stopwatches, and he realized.
"Right, the stopwatch!" Noah took the stopwatch in hand, watching the blue energy flowing within, and said, "I haven't examined this stopwatch yet, and now I have two—perfect moment for synthesis."
He placed the stopwatch next to the Best Sword and Chain Vest. Suddenly, the three items were surrounded by light, and the sound of hammering echoed.
