Chapter 412: No-Bodies

"Return this handsome and jade-like body to your master immediately!"

"Kekeke... It's you. No wonder this body felt an inexplicable sense of anticipation."

Venom, who had taken over Jasper's body, sneered dismissively.

"So, you got shoved out of your own soul and came crawling back from Death?"

'Again?"

"You can see my memories?" Jasper asked, his translucent soul swaying as it hovered in the air.

"Didn't you die once before, wander over to Death's domain, confess your feelings to that woman, charm her, and come back to life?"

"What's so strange about that?"

Venom let out a loud belch, picked some earwax, and flicked it into the air.

"Hey, Jasper, buddy, why don't you just forget about your body? It's disgustingly filthy—so much so that every time I sees it, I want to blow it to bits."

Rocket, appearing out of nowhere, interjected sarcastically.

Boom!

Before Rocket could finish his rant, Jasper's pale soul launched a glowing fist at his corrupted body.

"You bastard! I'm still your master!"

"Give me my body back, now!"

"Kekeke... Losing your temper, are we?"

Venom, cloaked in black armor and inhabiting Jasper's body, smirked wickedly as Jasper's radiant soul charged forward with its glowing fists.

Suddenly, Venom's expression turned cold and malicious as he said darkly, "Do you think the Progenitor of Venom is so easily bullied?"

Venom met Jasper head-on, throwing a punch of his own.

A fist radiating dark energy collided with Jasper's rainbow-hued glow.

In an instant, the dark energy devoured the radiant glow, shattering Jasper's pale soul like a massive pane of glass breaking into shards.

Then, Venom's blackened fist opened into a claw, unleashing a powerful suction force.

The fragmented pieces of Jasper's soul reassembled into a small, transparent cube the size of a palm, imprisoning his struggling soul inside.

Snap!

Venom flung the glass cube downward with force.

The cube shattered mid-air, releasing a billow of white mist that slowly reformed into Jasper's soul.

"Although I don't yet possess the power to completely obliterate a soul, do you, a mere bodiless spirit, dare challenge me while I'm occupying this body?"

"As the original owner, you should know better than anyone—I haven't even used one percent of its strength."

Floating high above, Venom looked down at Jasper's reformed soul with utter contempt.

"And from the beginning, it wasn't you that I feared…"

"Because I knew a mere soul couldn't possibly break through the barrier I've set around us."

"Impressive, is it?"

Unable to contain herself, Roma snapped angrily, summoning a thick, ancient-looking magical tome.

The book emitted dazzling golden light, sending out countless luminous fragments that pierced through the green light barrier trapping the girls.

The fragments enveloped each girl entirely, transforming them into points of light that quickly flew back into the magical tome.

One by one, the glowing points disappeared into the book, and soon, the dozens of glass-like barrier cages were completely empty.

Not a single trace of the beautiful girls remained.

"Well, well… Impressive," Venom sneered. "But I was talking about that curvaceous body of yours."

As Venom spoke, his long, slimy crimson tongue flicked out, writhing in the air before retracting back to his blackened face.

In a lewd tone, he added, "I can sense from the lingering traces of this body's soul that you're exactly his type."

"So that punk Jasper, now reduced to a ghostly form invisible to normal people, must have pestered you a lot, huh?"

Ignoring Roma's expression, Venom turned away, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the center of the group—on Zane.

His instinct, honed over countless years of drifting through the universe, told him that Zane was the most dangerous one present.

It wasn't because Zane stood at the forefront, commanding attention.

It was the effortless gaze Zane cast over him—a look that made Venom, the most skilled predator in the Omniverse, feel as though he was the one being hunted.

At that moment, Jasper's fragmented soul finally pulled itself back together.

He drifted toward Zane, bowing respectfully as he said, "Lord Zane…"

Jasper had known since the first time Zane dealt with him that this man was no weaker than Death, the founding deity of the Omniverse.

Through his time in the Ultimate Universe and observing Zane's team, Jasper recognized that their collective power rivaled his peak. Among them, Zane was undoubtedly the leader.

It was even possible, Jasper speculated, that Zane had replaced the previous Goddess of Death, seizing control of the omnipotent force of death.

But deep down, Jasper didn't want to admit the Goddess of Death's disappearance.

Though unsure of Zane's motives for bringing him to the Ultimate Universe, Jasper sensed no malice. In fact, they seemed intent on helping him restore his body.

Zane, aware of Jasper's thoughts, didn't press the matter. Cutting him off, Zane said, "I'll give you one chance."

Whoosh!

A small flame, brimming with vitality, flared at Zane's fingertip.

It shot into Jasper's pale soul, igniting it.

As before, the flame rapidly reconstructed Jasper's flesh, forming a new body over his spectral frame.

But this time, unlike before, the newly formed body didn't dissipate—it remained intact.

As Jasper grinned slyly, his face now fully restored, Zane spoke coolly, "Don't get too excited…"

"This body will last long enough for you to fight that guy for half an hour."

"If you lose this time, don't come looking for me again."

Boom!
