Chapter 402: Bug

Then, the fluffy raccoon, Rocket, leapt from its seat and shot straight into outer space.

Stopping Zane with a voice, someone said:

"Zane, don't just focus on having all the fun for yourself…"

"We've been holding back for years, too."

"Now that there's a group of fearless individuals, it's time for us to stretch our arms and legs a bit!"

Before Zane could respond, Rocket pressed a button, instantly equipping himself with an enormous, red-glowing, heavy battle mech.

In an instant, he transformed into armor the same size as the celestial group outside.

Through the glass window, Rocket twisted his massive mechanical head toward the remaining crew inside the ship and mischievously said:

"Folks, if you don't come out now, I'll finish all the fun myself!"

Boom!

The mech roared with flames from its thrusters and rapidly charged toward the nearest pale-blue giant of the Celestial Group on Mars.

With a loud bang, a heavy punch shattered the giant instantly.

A pale-blue divine core floated swiftly toward the sun, transforming into a pillar of energy that shot out from the sun's surface in a flash.

"This mech was invented by the Watchers back then…"

"This group is indeed connected to those bald-headed Watchers."

The Celestial's leader, an orange giant, spoke coldly before charging out to confront Rocket.

Rocket looked at him, grinning slyly, and taunted:

"Hey, big tin can, why don't you dare to say the renowned name of this mech I'm wearing?"

"The 'Bug Slayer,' designed specifically to kill disgusting tin cans like you!"

Boom!

Another heavy punch from Rocket sent the orange giant flying backward for countless meters.

In the blink of an eye, Rocket smashed two other Celestial Group giants rushing toward him.

Seeing Rocket, clad in the God-Slaying Armor, unleashing his might in the skies, the rest of the crew could no longer hold back.

The small tree-being, Groot, broke free from Little Bone's embrace and was the first to leap out of the exposed cockpit.

In an instant, Groot transformed into a towering tree that shaded the entire area of space.

Two enormous, branch-like arms extended from the massive tree, along with countless vines, tightly wrapping and binding more than ten Celestial Group giants nearby.

Then, as if grinding a millstone, Groot's massive arms spun around the trunk of the tree with tremendous force.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang, bang, bang!!!

Dust and debris filled the air.

The ten or so massive Celestial Group giants all turned to ash.

Next, even the usually calm Skynet and Little Bone joined the fray.

"Soul Scorching Ten-Burst!"

Little Bone's body ignited with blazing fireballs, which then flew rapidly toward the ten nearest Celestial Group giants.

The giants dodged frantically, but the fireballs seemed to lock onto them, striking them one by one in no time.

The fireballs disappeared into their bodies, leaving no visible effects at first.

Little Bone scratched his head awkwardly and said:

"Uh… Master, I forgot, these tin cans don't have souls…"

Just then, the ten Celestial giants were suddenly engulfed in blinding golden electric arcs before collapsing mid-air.

With a loud boom, they simultaneously dissolved into nothingness.

"Superpowered Biochemical Electromagnetic Cannon!"

The figure of Skynet, radiating a dark golden glow, finally called out the name of his move after all ten Celestial Group giants had perished.

"How is this possible!"

"What kind of monsters are these? Not a single one of them is below seven dimensions…"

"And that Earthling who hasn't even made a move yet—I can't even discern his level."

"Moreover, it's precisely that one who hasn't acted that terrifies me the most!"

As Rocket shattered the last orange giant of the Celestial Group with a flurry of punches, silence fell over the skies.

Inside the spaceship, Zane's only two companions who hadn't joined the battle were Bastis, who elegantly padded over to Roma's side. Flicking its paw and licking it nonchalantly, Bastis said lazily:

"Cleaning up trash like this is work for those brutes."

"You agree, don't you, Ro~ma?"

Before the words were finished, Roma, who was busy writing in her journal, grabbed the little tuft of fur on Bastis' neck and tossed him out.

"Stupid cat, don't interrupt my writing!"

"Meow!"

Zane, holding Lorna nestled in his arms, watched the one-sided battle in the skies and sighed internally:

This bunch still has no sense of resource conservation.

What a waste of materials.

Unlike him, as soon as a divine core floated by, he would immediately snatch it up from a distance.

If not for missing the first one that burned away in the sun before he noticed, all 36 Celestial Group giants would have turned into 36 divine cores, effortlessly collected by Zane without lifting a finger.

This way of gaining rewards felt even better than personally harvesting them.

Although the energy within these divine cores was negligible for either Zane or Lorna,

Even scraps of meat are still meat—especially when delivered for free.

Zane gladly accepted.

He then gathered the 35 multicolored divine cores along with the three he had collected earlier, crushing them gently in his palm.

In an instant, a stream of radiant, multicolored energy flowed into Lorna's body.

Despite reaching the pinnacle of the seventh dimension, Lorna didn't really need this energy.

Having already reached the human limit, no amount of additional energy could help her break through further.

Moreover, Lorna lacked Zane's Omniversal potential, meaning her path to the eighth dimension was still a long journey. For her, energy was no longer a critical resource.

In truth, during their time traveling through the wormhole, all of Zane's companions had undergone significant transformations.

Aside from Roma, who was already a high-level seventh-dimensional being, Bastis had risen to the same level due to Zane's ascension to the Omniversal Reaper, leaving him just slightly below Lorna.

Similarly, Little Bone and Skynet had been elevated from their original sixth-dimensional levels to mid-tier seventh dimensions, thanks to the unending soul energy flowing from Zane's [Divine Realm].

Even Rocket and Groot benefited from the [Divine Realm], reaching the early stages of the seventh dimension, with Groot slightly ahead of Rocket.

Thus, apart from Zane himself, everyone in the group faced the dilemma of being unable to ascend to higher dimensions.

In fact, even Zane was uncertain how long his group had lingered within the wormhole leading to Ultimate Universe 1610.
