Chapter 68: Ch. 67 - The Great War! [4]
"Fuck! Fuck!" Chamber kept cursing to himself while trying to untangle himself from Serafall's limbs.
He just recently woke up and he immediately felt something wet on his cheeks.
It turns out he slept with Serafall on the same bed once again, and this time, she was drooling on him.
Seriously, what is wrong with this girl?
Thankfully, with his skills and flexibility, Chamber has successfully 'escaped' from Serafall without waking her up.
'Note to self. Don't go to Serafall's room.' Chamber said to himself while fixing his clothes before conjuring a portal back to the human world and jumping inside, leaving a peacefully sleeping Serafall on the bed.

"How long have I been sleeping?" Chamber muttered to himself while staring at the enormous structure in front of him.
The humans, who were supposed to be working on the Sanctum Sanctorum, were left scratching their heads in confusion and amazement upon witnessing the sudden arrival of a huge building that they had never seen before.
The building is large and tall, made of dark bricks with stone decorations around the edges. It has big, arched windows and a huge circular window in the middle with fancy patterns carved around it. A wide staircase leads up to double wooden doors with some glowing symbols carved into them.
On both sides of the entrance, there are iron lanterns with soft green flames. The roof has pointy spires, and there are small balconies with metal railings. The sky is cloudy, casting a soft, gray light over the building, giving it an old but mysterious look.
"They fucking outdid themselves!" Chamber's face lit up in excitement. Like a child finding a new toy, Chamber wasted no time and rushed inside.
The human workers who were confused at first, upon seeing Chamber's presence, looked at one another before shrugging their shoulders and leaving.
They know who Chamber is and his capabilities. If this building's sudden appearance is magical, no doubt it is connected to the only magician they know of, Chamber.
The only thing they could do in this situation is to report it to the village chief and tell him that their job is done and has been done by simply, magic.
'I wish I knew magic.' They all muttered in their hearts, no doubt knowing that if they learned one, their jobs would be much easier.
***
Inside, Chamber roamed around the hall, noticing the great detail applied to every piece of furniture, especially the design on the walls.
There are even paintings that he has never seen before, yet comparable to great paintings he has seen in his last world.
Then there's the huge stairs in the middle of the hall, something that you would automatically see first if you entered through the front door.
'It's almost the exact same as the blueprint I showed Sirzechs. I didn't know Devils are great at constructing structures.' Chamber muttered to himself and continued roaming around.
There's even a library containing so many books, mostly human books and rarely books about the supernatural.
"I'm not gonna be surprised if they got all these books from the Great Library of Alexandria that were burnt down hundreds of years ago," Chamber said to himself while skimming through some of the books that got his interest.
Before he could indulge himself anymore further, he realized that he was supposed to roam the Sanctum, not to get stuck in the library reading books.
'God dammit!' Chamber cursed himself in his mind before pushing the book he was reading back to the shelf.
Chamber's next stop is the office, the Sorcerer Supreme's office.
Though it's more like just a simple room rather than an office.
Sure it has a table, chair, and its own set of library shelves.
It's a pretty normal room, nothing much to say.
What Chamber did like about the Sanctum was the number of rooms it has, reaching almost 30 in terms of quantity, and for the quality, it's almost par with most 5-star hotel rooms back in his world.
Then there's also the basement, which he would not check for now. It'll be for later
"Alright. That's all of it. Time to call the kids!" Chamber could already imagine their faces once they saw their new home.
***
In the farmhouse, Tam was the one who woke up first, perhaps it is due to his devil heritage but he rarely needs sleep.
The only reason he slept last night was a chain effect.
When Belle yawned and started sleeping, Augustus followed, and then Johann.
The last one to sleep is him, when one yawned, he yawned and when one slept, he also slept.
It's kind of weird.
Stretching his limbs, Tam scratched his hair and stood from the bed, heading towards the door of the bedroom for the bathroom.
However, the moment he opened the door, he collided with a large figure grinning down at him while standing still, unfazed by the collision.
"I'm sorry…" Tam apologized, still in a dazed state.
However, when his brain finally registered that as a devil, barely anyone could stay still during a collision with him, his eyes widened in surprise and his sleepy mood was immediately drained when he raised his head and saw his master's smiling face.
"M-Master!" Tam immediately went still and his expression was frozen in shock.
His loud words woke the others up, forcing them to open their eyes and sit on the bed.
"Wh-What's going on? W-Where is he?"
"Master! Monster!"
'Oi!?'
Hearing their comments when hearing about me made my mouth twitch in annoyance.
"It's really master!" Johann stood from the bed and pointed at him with horror etched in his face.
"Oh no! Master will eat us!" Augustus ran around the room like a headless chicken, yelling profanities at him.
'What did these kids dream of? And it's about me being a monster?' Chamber sighed.
"You all. This is not how you talk to your teacher!" Transfiguring a piece of cloth into a dreading belt with a metal head, Chamber held it from both ends and pulled it against each other, causing a crisp snap to resound across the entire room.
SNAP!
Everyone froze, each of them staring at the belt as if it were the most vile and scary thing to exist on the planet.
"Gulp!" A collective of swallows of saliva can be heard coming from the four of them.
"Anyone else who likes to share their opinion to me?" Chamber grinned like a devil scanning his eyes on each of them.
They quickly shook their heads obediently, not daring to meet his eyes.
"Good, now you all will come with me because I'll show you something. Oh and pack your bags." Dread filled their faces when they heard the last sentence.
'Is he kicking us out?!' They all said in their minds in unison.
***
"Welcome to your new home!" Chamber smiled as he watched the children's gobsmacked faces.
"T-That's huge!"
"Is that our new home?!"
"So Master's not going to kick us out then?"
SNAP!
"Hiee!!"
Putting the belt out of the way, Chamber smiled at them and explained.
"From now on. This will be the new headquarters of the Mystic Society, where we will grow not only in strength but also in bonding. We will treat each other as more like a family rather than simple companionship, understood?"
"Yes, master!"
"Good…now go and find your own rooms. No fighting when doing it!" Before Chamber could even finish his sentence, his four students already made their way inside, childish excitement plastered on their faces.
After all, what could be more exciting than being able to choose your own room?
'Hope they won't be disappointed that their rooms are practically the same in appearance.' Chamber whispered in his mind after seeing them go off.
***
After what took long almost an hour of just choosing a room, Chamber called them all to the training grounds.
"I see you have chosen your own rooms." Chamber held himself back from laughing at their dull expressions.
"Now, the reason why I called you all here is because this place we're standing on is where I want to see you all train, it's called Training Grounds. But not for now because I'll be planting a rune on the entire training grounds that will help you all in training, understood?"
"Yes, Master!"
***
Another week passed and with the problem of housing solved, their training has been nothing but a smooth ride.
As a matter of fact, even Chamber himself was training. The Merlin Magic has been very useful and easy to train.
Although the consumption of creating living beings out of nothing is very high, with enough practice, Chamber managed to dwindle it down to almost half of its original consumption.
Of course, he shared this method with Balthazar, who had been nothing but grateful for him.
Then there's also the matter of rings. Chamber has successfully found the recipe for creating the Merlin Magic Rings and learned his rune language, making Chamber finally capable of creating his own magic rings.
Through this, Chamber modified his Sling Ring and fused it with the Dragon Ring, giving it a goldish tint while also having the capability to create portals.
He also made the children their own set of Merlin Magic Rings and fused it with the Sling Ring for those who have it.
Of course, a Sling Ring isn't exactly needed when implanting a Magic Ring with the properties to create portals, simple Magic Rings with portal creation runes is enough. It's just that he thought it would be a waste to just create Portal Capable Magic Rings and throw the Sling Rings aside, so he just fused the existing Sling Rings to the newly created Magic Rings.
Many more have happened in just a single week but the most notable thing that did is that the Merlin-affiliated Wizards that Balthazar contacted a week ago has finally arrived at the Sanctum's doorstep!
