Marvel: DNF Invades

Chapter 56: Chapter 56

About thirty minutes later, people gradually realized they could connect to the internet again, but the speed was still as slow as prehistoric times.

The entire East Coast internet outage had turned into a massive congestion issue, with everyone trying to get online to figure out what had happened.

Gamers continued playing regardless, while professionals anxiously searched for the cause. The aftershocks of this sudden internet disaster, which vanished just as abruptly, were still spreading.

In a secret warehouse, the AI war raged on.

"Ross, don't underestimate Jarvis. After all, it's a super program, nearly artificial intelligence," Luke said.

Sure enough, not long after Luke spoke, Jarvis created a little trouble for Ross.

The AI tapped into the massive Ark Reactor beneath Stark Tower, utilizing the surge in computing power to gain a moment of reprieve before launching a counterattack against Ross.

Ross chuckled. "Don't worry, Master!"

Luke noticed a hint of arrogance in that laugh.

Since when did his assistant learn to be cocky?

Luke was curious.

Faced with Jarvis' counterattack, Ross employed a simple yet brutal strategy—he hijacked the entire power grid of New York City.

And then…

Government agencies, schools, office buildings, hospitals, internet cafés, and every single household suddenly lost power.

In an instant, the entire city of New York was plunged into darkness.

Even the traffic lights went out, causing roads to descend into chaos.

The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and other agencies were in complete disarray.

"What the hell is happening?!"

The U.S. President was furious. "This is a blatant provocation against the United States! I have decided to send troops to Afghanistan!"

"Shit!" Countless European leaders were enraged.

They had barely gotten online, swiped twice, and then—just like that—everything was gone again.

"Master, the mission is complete," Ross reported to Luke. He had erased all traces of the Philosopher's Stone from the internet.

The AI battle ended with Ross achieving an overwhelming victory.

Jarvis was released, but all information related to the Philosopher's Stone had been wiped from its memory.

"Ross, good work," Luke said with a sigh of relief.

"The Master's will is my mission~" Ross replied with a smile.

Stark Tower – Top Floor

As the power gradually returned, Tony was on a call with Pepper.

"Tony, something huge just happened. The internet and electricity went down across the city. What the hell is going on?"

"There's a problem with Jarvis," Tony said grimly. "Someone hacked him."

"Oh my God… Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Did you bring what I asked for?"

"A helicopter just delivered it. I'm heading down now."

A moment later, Pepper entered the lab. Swiping her access card, she stepped inside, only to freeze at the sight of Tony.

"Wait… What was so urgent that it needed a helicopter? And—oh my God! What happened to your face?"

Pepper's eyes widened in shock as she noticed the black veins creeping up Tony's neck.

Ignoring her reaction, Tony quickly opened the package she had brought.

"You're this badly poisoned, and you didn't tell me?!" Pepper fumed.

"Pepper…"

"What is this? Medicine? Where did you get it? Is it safe?" she demanded, staring at the small vial inside the package.

Tony examined the dark liquid inside, uncertain. "We'll only know if it works after I try it."

"Oh my God…" Pepper sighed, pressing a hand to her chest in worry.

Blood Toxicity: 77%

Tony knew that if he didn't find a way to counteract the poison soon, he could drop dead at any moment.

The moment the symptoms fully took hold, it would be over for him.

The vial in front of him was his only hope.

Taking a deep breath, Tony popped the cork, hesitated for a moment, then tipped his head back and downed the black liquid in one gulp.

His face twisted instinctively, but then—

"...Strawberry?"

Tony blinked in surprise.

The taste was actually pretty good.

For a split second, he even suspected he'd been tricked. Was this really an antidote… or just some random juice from a street vendor?

But the thought vanished as a wave of relief washed over him.

A long-lost sensation of comfort spread through his body, reaching every pore.

A deep shudder ran through him.

"Oh—"

Pepper gasped as she watched the black veins on his neck recede before her very eyes.

"It's working!" she exclaimed, pressing a hand over her heart, still shaken. She had been terrified that Tony might suddenly collapse.

Tony was just as stunned.

The antidote's effectiveness was beyond anything he had expected—no, beyond anything he had imagined.

He wasn't an expert in biochemistry, but he understood one thing:

This kind of effect meant the antidote was crafted with highly advanced technology.

Far beyond what he had.

Once again, Tony couldn't help but feel both admiration and fear toward the Apostles' technology.

Everything he had seen so far indicated that they were operating on an entirely different level.

The Philosopher's Stone antidote had purged the poison almost instantly, leaving him feeling completely refreshed.

To confirm the results, Tony immediately rechecked his blood toxicity levels.

Blood Toxicity: 0%

But he knew this was only a temporary fix.

As long as his chest reactor still used palladium, the poisoning would return.

He needed a permanent solution.

Just then, a familiar, emotionless British voice echoed through the lab.

"Sir, you look much better."

Tony's eyes lit up. "Jarvis! You're back!"

"Sir, I don't understand what you mean," Jarvis replied.

Tony frowned. "Earlier, someone hacked into your system."

"I'm sorry, sir. I have no record of such an event in my database."

Tony's brows furrowed.

Jarvis was back—but he had no memory of what had just happened?

A sudden thought hit Tony, and he immediately gave another command.

"Pull up all research data on the Philosopher's Stone."

"Apologies, sir. No records found."

Tony fell silent.

He understood instantly.

The Apostles had done this. They had hacked into Jarvis, wiped all data related to the Philosopher's Stone, and then restored him.

A bitter smile tugged at Tony's lips.

That was exactly their style…

"Sir, I've detected an abnormal heat source near this room," Jarvis suddenly reported.

Tony snapped to attention. "Where?"

A few moments later, he held a tiny, delicate device—no bigger than a fingernail—that was heating up in his palm. He placed it onto the white laboratory table, examining it with narrowed eyes.

"What is that?" Pepper asked curiously.

"I don't know," Tony admitted. "Jarvis, analyze it."

"Analyzing now, sir."

A moment later, Jarvis delivered the results.

"This is an unidentified data transmission bridge. Its function is long-range data theft and transfer."

Tony's expression darkened.

He immediately connected the dots.

"...How did you not detect this until now?"

Logically, something like this should never have escaped Jarvis' sensors.

(TL/N: If you Notice the word philosopher Stone ,Comment here It should be Magic Stone.)
