Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Chasing the Hulk
With Ultron mastering all forms of medicine and pairing his expertise with the Green Lantern ring's medical capabilities, there was no illness in the universe he couldn't handle. The ring also incorporated advanced medical technologies from other planets.
Thanks to Ultron's treatment, Stark and Charles' injuries visibly healed within a minute. Their complexions returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
Seeing their condition improve, Han Yu stepped forward and used the Green Lantern ring's telepathic function to probe their minds. This method was far more effective than simply asking them what had happened. Given that they had likely been ambushed, verbal accounts wouldn't yield many details.
By reading their memories, Han Yu could access information they might have unconsciously noticed—such as fleeting details caught in their peripheral vision, which their conscious minds had overlooked.
Han Yu entered their consciousness, viewing the situation inside the Hulk's containment cell from their perspective.
He saw Hulk gradually quieting down. Stark and Charles assumed he had tired himself out and was resting, so they paid him little attention.
However, at that moment, Hulk's right hand began to emit a faint, needle-like glow, which condensed into a focused energy. The energy gathered on his fist, and with a powerful strike, he unleashed it.
The immense radiation energy pierced through the Green Lantern energy cage. Although the cage was strong, it wasn't indestructible.
That single punch exceeded the cage's tolerance, shattering it.
Witnessing this, Han Yu exclaimed in astonishment, "He's learned to concentrate radiation energy?!"
Hearing his reaction, Quicksilver and Ultron, still outside, quickly joined him using their Green Lantern rings. Upon seeing the scene for themselves, Ultron appeared particularly shocked.
He understood the implications of Hulk being able to control radiation energy. Hulk's physical strength was already terrifyingly powerful, and now, with this new ability, he had become even more dangerous.
Hulk's punches were now equivalent to unleashing the destructive power of a nuclear bomb. Such a force made him an unparalleled threat.
On Earth, aside from Han Yu and his group in the general store, as well as Wanda and the Ancient One in the Sanctum Sanctorum, no one else could possibly stand against him.
"I'll go bring him back and take a blood sample. This can't wait any longer," Han Yu said, his expression darkening.
Previously, Han Yu had chosen to treat Hulk with restraint, ensuring his attacks only caused superficial injuries that Hulk could quickly recover from. But now that Hulk had harmed his comrades, Han Yu decided it was time for a more forceful approach.
"Boss, I'm coming too!" Quicksilver eagerly volunteered, finding the task exciting.
"Count me in," Ultron said calmly.
He stood up and glanced at Stark and Charles, who were still seated on the ground. Their complexions had returned to normal, though traces of shock lingered on their faces. Their physical injuries, however, were completely healed, so he had no qualms about leaving them behind.
Han Yu double-checked their condition and was about to suggest they rest at the general store when both Stark and Charles insisted on joining the mission.
Han Yu turned to Ultron, who gave him a slight nod, indicating that the two were fit to participate.
Han Yu then looked back at Stark and Charles. Both men wore determined expressions, leaving no room for doubt. Recognizing their resolve, Han Yu refrained from arguing. They clearly understood their own limits, and if they were adamant about going, they must have confidence in their abilities.
It's impossible they'd willingly walk into danger. If they thought like that, neither of them would have made it to where they are today.
After deciding on their next move, Han Yu led the group out. Galacta joined them as well. Being the only one upstairs playing games had become boring, and the commotion downstairs was enough to pique her interest. She figured she might as well join in on the action.
Han Yu had no objections to Galacta tagging along. In fact, her presence was reassuring. If anyone could provide a safety net, it was her.
As soon as they stepped out of the general store, Han Yu asked the store system in his mind: "Can the shop be repaired?"
"Yes, it'll cost five upgrade points."
"Do it."
Han Yu didn't bother arguing over the five upgrade points. He simply agreed to spend them.
The group had barely stepped outside when, in the blink of an eye, the general store returned to its original state. Everyone, including Ultron, stood dumbfounded, marveling at how the shop could repair itself automatically. It was nothing short of impressive.
Out on the street, Han Yu didn't need to waste time searching for Hulk.
After breaking free from the containment cage, Hulk had been rampaging nonstop. The destruction he left behind served as a trail leading directly to him.
"Let's move!" Han Yu said decisively.
Realizing that Stark and Charles couldn't fly like the rest of them, Han Yu brought out a car to transport the two.
Inside the vehicle, Stark pulled out a pair of glasses and put them on. Various data and images instantly appeared on the lenses.
"Jarvis, send over my suit. Oh, and bring Veronica, too," Stark instructed.
"Why is it called Veronica?" Quicksilver asked, curious.
He'd seen Stark's Iron Man suits on the news before, but he'd never heard their names. Hearing a feminine name now intrigued him.
"Veronica is a large-scale armor I developed with Banner," Stark explained. "It's specifically designed to manage the Hulk, in case he ever loses control and no one else can stop him."
Quicksilver nodded, understanding now.
Han Yu, who was driving, couldn't help but smile slightly. Of course, he knew about Veronica. It was better known as the Hulkbuster Armor, essentially an enhanced version of the Iron Man suit.
In Han Yu's memories, this suit had indeed faced off against Hulk before. Unfortunately, the fight hadn't gone well. At the time, Hulk had lost his mind and was in an uncontrollable rage.
Although Stark deployed Veronica, its performance wasn't as impressive as expected. It was almost destroyed in the battle before Hulk was subdued, causing significant damage to the surrounding area and endangering nearby civilians.
Hearing the name Veronica again brought back memories for Han Yu. It was a nostalgic moment, a reminder of something from his past life that still held meaning in this one.
To save time, both Han Yu and Ultron drove separate vehicles.
With their driving skills, navigating the city was like playing GTA in real life—completely reckless yet thrillingly precise. Their passengers felt like they were part of a high-stakes racing competition.
When they finally spotted Hulk, he had reverted to his familiar green giant form. However, his blood vessels were alarmingly red and bulging, adding an even more menacing look to his already fearsome appearance.
