Married to the Secret Stanger

Chapter 52: Storm Unleashed

Alexander King wasn't one to let threats linger.

The Monroe Corporation had been rattled, and Peter Monroe wasn't the only one to notice.

Jason's reckless obsession with Joanne had cost them dearly. The Monroe family had built a name for itself through calculated moves, and Jason's impulsive actions were now putting everything in jeopardy.

It wasn't just about pride—it was about business. The King family was not someone to cross, and Alexander had just made his move.

Monroe Corporation's stock prices plummeted in a matter of hours, and Jason's own father, Peter Monroe, immediately saw the connection between his son's failed pursuit of Joanne and the King family's retaliation.

He was furious.

Jason had foolishly tried to reach out to Joanne, pushing her boundaries, and Alexander had retaliated with surgical precision. The result was a chaotic mess for the Monroe family.

Peter Monroe, ever the strategist, called Jason into his office, his face flushed with anger.

"What the hell did you do, Jason?!" he roared.

Jason winced, clearly on edge.

"I—I didn't think it would come to this, But Dad i just wantedto talk to her."

Peter's eyes were burning with rage as he slammed his fist on the table.

"You should've thought before you acted!"

Jason shrank back, looking down at the floor.

His father's fury was unmistakable.

Peter Monroe took a deep breath, trying to control his temper, but the damage had been done.

"It's over."

Jason blinked.

"What do you mean?"

Peter was quiet for a moment. Then, he spoke in a low, menacing voice.

"I'm calling off the engagement between the Bakers and the Monroes."

Jason's face went pale.

"What? You can't—"

"I can, and I will." Peter interrupted, his tone unyielding.

"Dad if you don't mind I want Joanne back, being with Sophia was a mistake."

"Why didn't you think about it before jumping to Sophia and abandoning Joanne, now she is married let it go."

"We have to brake-up from the Baker family, they are nothing but trouble."

The Monroe-Baker alliance had been part of his vision for years, but now, after his son's recklessness, it was no longer feasible.

This was about survival. The Monroe family couldn't afford to be seen as weak, and Alexander King had shown them what true power looked like.

Meanwhile, Sophia's Plans

Sophia sat at her vanity, gazing at her reflection, a smirk tugging at her lips.

While the Monroe family was in chaos, she was busy scheming.

She had learned that Alexander had taken drastic measures, and she was genuinely unbothered.

She didn't fear Alexander. In fact, she found his actions to be a challenge.

Sophia believed Joanne's marriage to Alexander was nothing more than a game. A marriage of convenience. She was convinced that Alexander had no real attachment to Joanne, that it was all fake—a mere transaction.

Sophia was considering herself the better choice for Alexander, Joanne doesn't deserve it.

She Sophia was the one who deserves everything Joanne is just a prostitute like her mother.

She Sophia wasn't some woman who would bend to the whims of a controlling husband.

She would make Alexander see her as the only woman who could fulfill his true desires.

Sophia was determined.

She would take Alexander from Joanne.

Just as she did with Jason.

Joanne was weak, and Sophia wasn't going to let her clumsy marriage get in the way of her desires.

Sophia had always gotten what she wanted, and she wouldn't let Alexander slip away.
