Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 140: Attacking The Dalriss Family

—Boom!!!

The sound of a massive explosion resounded in an area not too far away in the center of Duan city.

It was a warehouse, it was on fire.

This scene immediately caused panic all over the surrounding area. It was an attack

.

"Hmmm, any sign?" A young voice sounded on a building not too far away from the building that had just been blown up.

"No, she wasn’t in there...but we found this" right next to the young man, another man with a faceless mask reported.

This was Darknorth.

After the abduction of Jade, Darknorth had fully thrown himself behind Leon because as it seemed. Leon was the only one looking to get jade back.

"That’s hers?" Leon squinted his brows at the sight of the clothes handed to him. They belonged to jade. It was her vail.

" Yes, they must have moved her" Darknorth spoke gloomily. He mere thought of someone taking off Jade’s vail pissed him off to beyond comprehension.

She was always such a clean and untouched gem in his eyes and he adored her, the thought of someone treating her like she was nothing really annoyed him.

"At least we are now sure they have her," Leon nodded then gave a signal towards the sky where 3 individuals stood.

"Hmm" receiving Leon’s signal, the men sent out 3 Beams of mana energy towards the warehouse.

—Boom!!!!

This of course resulted in the absolute destruction of the warehouse.

"Let’s go before they get here" Leon commanded and walked off.

Just now they had raided a dalriss family warehouse and razed it to the ground. There was no act more brazen than this.

The dalriss family was the family of a marquee, to attack them was to attack the royal family. How dare they?

Naturally, Leon knew what he was doing.

"Pull back!!" Darknorth commanded and a host of faceless mercenaries trooped out of the warehouse and disappeared into the city alleyways and markets seamlessly.

A few minutes later.

"How dare they!!!"

The marquee cane and 3 others arrived before the scene and bellowed with pure rage. This warehouse contained food, water and other resources they had accumlated as a result of this war. Now it was all being burnt before his eyes

It was enough to make a man go mad

"We must retaliate" at the side one of the dalriss elders said. He was one of the peak level 3 mages of the dalriss family. He wasn’t that popular as Alaric was always being sent out but that didn’t mean he wasn’t powerful.

"Retaliate? I’ll fucking kill them!!!!" The marquee was truly enraged, even though they had other warehouses. The mere disrespect was alarming. How dare they offend him for no reason at all?

Yes, he had no idea that Leon had framed him for kidnapping jade yet. If he did he would just roll over and die from anger.

"Hmmmm, but I’ll take this little by litte. Contact Marquee Rein. Tell him what happened here. An attack on one is an attack on all" marquee cane commanded one of his men.

They had made a masisve mistake, the faceless mercenary company..he didn’t need to go all out all he needed was to gang up on them.

"Yes!!" The subordinate bowed and zoomed off.

That day a particular news went around duan city’s Central that shocked everyone.

One of the marquees warehouses was blown up and the food and resources being hoarded by him were distributed to civilians.....First the citizens expressed shock from the selfishness of the elites.

The city was barely standing on one leg and the marquee was hoarding food.

But at the end they understood the greed, what really got them was what happened next. The marquee had called for his fellow marquees to join hands with him and they refused flatly.

This was beyond embarrassing. The powerful marquee was turned down by his peers this was unheard of.

Naturally, the royalty also caught wind of this so they sent out invitations to the marquee and the faceless mercenary company’s new management.

"Is this a good idea?" Beside Leon Arians voice resounded in Leon’s ear.

Right now they were right infront of a royal outpost outside the Palace.

The royalty didn’t allow for anyone to enter the royal Palace so most meeting were done in these outposts.

Of course, an outpost of the royal family was bound to be elegant and beautiful more so than other buildings in all of duan city.

But was the reason for them not letting people in because they wanted security for the Palace?

No!!

The main reason was because they couldn’t even enter the Palace...of course no one new of thai shameful fact at this point.

"We will be alright" next to Leon, Arians father said cooly as if trying to be impressive. He was a level 4 great mage. The Royalty wouldn’t offend him too much as they needed his power too, to protect them when the upcoming conflict arrives.

"I didn’t ask you" Arian responded to her father snappily.

She didn’t like the fact that he was working with them one bit. But she understood that Leon needed his power so she kept shut about it. However that didn’t mean she wanted to talk to him.

"Hmmmm" Leon saw this scene and shook his head.

The main reason this guy was here was because Leon promised to help him settle things with his daughter. He didn’t actually need them to cause havoc for the dalriss family.

(She really needs to calm down)

Leon didn’t know how to actually make Arian forgive the old man so he was acting snappily to get what he wanted before this whole thing falls on its head.

"Let’s go in" Leon cut in and opened the outpost door.

Behind the door was hall is a lavish space with tall columns, ornate ceilings, and luxurious decorations. Marble floors reflect the soft glow of chandeliers, while rich tapestries adorn the walls. At one end,

At the end of it were a bunch of thrones arranged perfectly as if it was ment for Kings.

However, there was only two persons there at the middle of the throne.

"Thissss" Leon froze at this sight. He was now in contact with a royal of eldoria. This was the first time so he comported himself. Having taking all precautions he was ready to face them

"Ahhh" to the very edge of the thrones, the marquee sat looking down at Leon’s group.

The way the thrones were placed indicated the ranks of the person on it. The two at both edges were meant for the four marquees and closer to the main throne were for the great elders of the duan royal family.

"Approach!!" Noticing Leon’s group a fairly short elder beckoned them to come forward.

This man was a great elder of the duan royal family.

Great mage Titch.

"Sire" Leon approached and bowed respectfully at the great elder.

Respect!!! The number one value the royals family prided. They all wanted to be held on a pedestal even though they didn’t have as much power as before.

With the city littered with Level 4 mages and warlocks. Their power was indeed limited.

"Hmm" the elder nodded with delight at Leon’s gesture, but his eyes quickly panned away and landed on Half-moon and Arians father.

These were the people truly pulling the strings here.

"It’s a shame old vlad couldn’t make it....I wanted to see the old fool" the great elder smiled at them.

He didn’t want anything more than to strengthen their bond here and vlad was the best way.

The conflict between them and the marquee didn’t really concern him. Cane was a pain in the ass as far as he was concerned. But he was alley.....however what really concerned the great elder was how to pull more elders not to satisfy cane.

"We regret this, but the old man said he wishes to rest. I’m sure he will make his way here when he needs to" Leon looked at the old man and said.

He was the caretaker of the faystone household now, so he had the right to speak in the stead of the faystone ancestor.

"Hmmm, it has been hard on him I understand " the great elder nodded.

Vald had really sacrificed alot for their family so they respected him and would treat whomever represents vald with respect.

"Umm yes what is this matter of you guys blowing up each others buildings" the great elder asked the disgraced knight.

He immediately bypassed everyone to speak to him because he was a great mage.

"Ask him" of course Arians father was arrogant in his response. It seemed like he didn’t care much for the royalty.

Actually, during the past few days, the dalriss family had actually responded to the faceless mercenary company’s aggression by blowing up some of their known hideouts.

Of course, there was no one there and they didn’t dare attack the faystone mansion for fear of angering the royals.

What he wanted now was to squash this beef. It wasn’t worth it to go all out against the faceless mercenary company. They were too slimy and could easily fade in out of places after attacking.

It was really annoying fighting these guys.
