Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 133: Illusionary battle.

"Next match" Jade smiled and looked over at Leon with the side of her eyes.

Amongst everyone here, if she was being honest....she believed most in Leon’s ability to win.

His record was just too astounding.

From his entrance ceremony masserce, to his murder of a level 2 warlock at the kentow mansion while still being a beginner stage mage...Leon had shown crazy talent.

And you would think that was enough, but Recently? Leon had gone against a sky mage in the waterway family and won. She only found this out two days ago and she couldn’t have been more shocked.

However in her mind, the most amazing feat Leon had performed was during their mission in the faystone mansion. He survived the onslaught of the faystone ancestor. A being infinitely close to a level 4 mage.

That alone was enough for her to respect him.

"Maximum effort," Leon blew a hot breath from behind his mask and slowly walked forward.

Jade knew nothing of Leon’s accomplishments. He had been in his world for less than a year and had scaled from being the lowest of worms to a peak level 2 warlock...

he had squirmed himself into mage society and began to accumlate power going from a nobody to someone with influence, on that journey he had successfully scheme against two beings that were inches away from touching the realm of level 4.

The sorcerer and the faystone ancestor.

Leon had accomplishments that would make jade shiver in the heat if she knew of them.

"Here" as Leon approached the stage Carlson threw his spear directly into his hand.

These battles had descended into using weapons to win, going in unprepared was a death sentence.

"OH, I forgot" Leon smirked and accepted the spear. It had been a while since he used one but he believed he could make due.

His opponent too stepped forward with grade 3 weapons. Yeah that’s right, two.

The head of the Baldwin faction really hated Leon, of course he also wanted to win, since they hadn’t won a single battle sin they begun.

"Greetings" Leon greeted his opponent. From here on out the battles would truly count because the people being sent out were true powerhouses.

Especially this round as the Baldwin faction had sent out a direct disciple of their head.

Ethan.

A plane name for a plane character. Ethan wasn’t anything special apart from being the discipline of old zaki and being a peak level 2 mage.

At least that was the general conscious.

"Hehe, you made us lose face kid. You might just die.," Ethan said with a smile that was not a smile. Contrary to general opinion of him, ethan actually thought that he was special.

He believed that his talent was something not seen in several generations. It was sorta funny to look at.

"I hope it doesn’t get to that" Leon responded jokingly then proceeded to walk forward slowly.

—wooowoowoo

The spear in his hand began spinning showing his great skill in the way of the spear.

"I will accompany you" ethan saw this and walked forward too. He had a pair of weapons... a shield fitted with spikes and a Lance.

This made him looked like a soldier of the mideval period on earth.....indestructible a force to be reckoned with in battle....but then again....was he really indestructible?

"Lumisight Eyes: Nova daze"

No words were actually spoked....Ethan only felt his body become weightless as his mind was pulled into an illusion.

"Hm?" The bladwin factions leader frowned seeing this scene, if the others couldn’t recognise it. He could.

His deciple had been pulled into an illusion.

"Shit, why did no one tell me he could use illusion magic?" Old zaki asked with annoyance in his tone.

If There was anything he knew to be his disciples weakest attribute. It was his mind.

The guy couldn’t even see when he was being looked down on his state of mind and social awareness was shit. There was no way he could pull himself from an illusion spell.

"Yeah, this was my mistake....we admit defeat." Finally after about 30 seconds of ethan being trapped in an illusion. His master finally gave in.

Nepotism had been his downfall. He chose his incompetent disciple to represent them., but then again....who else could?

"Good decision" Leon smirked and nodded. He would take no futher action.... After all, he hoped for the faceless mercenary company to listen to him in future.

Too many grudges weren’t good for his plans.

"Next match" Jade smiled and announced. Leon didn’t even lift a hand to win this battle. He didn’t disappoint.

"It’s finally time"

In the shadows of the alleyways behind the scenes a figure cloaked in a leathery hood stood looking at Leon’s figure in the distance.

He was itching for a fight.

"Hmmm that’s strange...." Beside him another figure said paying no mind to the person beside him.

In the previous bout, he had seemingly noticed something familar....in his blood.

"We call forth a distinguished guest of the Dalriss family. The son of the honoured marquee cane. Lucian." Malacath stood up and introduced.

Immediately those words left his mouth though the Baldwin faction’s whole pavilion became instantly silent.

The marquee’s son??!!!!!!

A level 4 mage and one of the protectors of the kingdom, The marquee was a being that would send shivers down the spine of any power.

"They..."

It was just now dawning on the Baldwin faction that this battle was much more than it seemed to the naked eyes.

First it was thw waterway family, now the Dalriss family. Something was terribly wrong.

"Oh it will be him?" Leon was briefly shook. He didn’t expect the dalriss family to participate at this point in the match.

(Anan’s big brother I see....won’t it be crazy if I captured him too and made a run for it?)

Leon jested in his mind causing him to laugh subtly

He had captured and tortured Anan for months even after taking his eyes. If he could do the same to Lucian it would be very comical indeed.

But Leon didn’t see a need for this. Instead he saw an opportunity to further amplify his reputation. If he defeated these guys it was like him saving the faceless mercenary company from annexation.

"I want to see the illusion ability you used" pulling his hood back Lucian revealed eyes that flared with beautiful light and an unmatched glow.

He wanted to compete with Leon in the art of illusion making as you see. Illusions were a footnote of the Dalriss family.

Even though only a special few could use them it was a thing of pride in their family so they would often challenge illusion users to show they were better.

"Why not?" Leon smirked.

A battle of illusions, it was fresh and unique Leon hadn’t been in one with these eyes before but he was excited to test them out.

"Lumisight Eyes: golden hellfire"

Lucian activated a spell. Golden hellfire was a illusionary spell of high grade even the dalriss family. It was reserved only for those with the gift of the lumisight Eyes.

Soon, Leon saw himself being pulled into a landscape of melting gold and eternally burning fire.

The gold melted on his skin and dried up encasing him in gold....but it didn’t stop there....even in his encashment the gold was constantly being heated up until it falls from the skin itself.

It was a painful torture....Lucian would use this to torture people who went against him more often than necessary.

He really enjoyed it.

"Even gold can’t last forever, and there is no such thing as an eternally burning flame"

Leon spoke up all of a sudden from within the encashment as not even a second later.

—crrrrrrr

The shells of gold began falling off from Leon and Turning into water.....

He had broken thw illusion in no time.

"Ahhh? Strange....but it’s expected from an illusion user such as yourself" Lucian tried to maintain his pride.

Leon was an illusion user of talent of course he could break this spell. He could do so too.

When things became more serious they would see who was stronger.

"It’s my turn" Leon smirked then looked over at Lucian.

Behind the mask Leon’s eyes burned with dazzling purple light a big difference from the lumisight Eyes of old.

"Nova daze"

Leon activated the spell he had received from Bartholomew. In Leon’s mind, this spell was a normal spell that Bartholomew might have happened upon on the streets so he tweaked it to make it more powerful.

Leon had no idea that the Nova daze spell was not normal at all. Even Lucian hadn’t practiced this spell before....so he wouldn’t even recognise it.

But it’s power was a testament to itself.

"Hmm?"

Lucian looked around himself. He was currently in the deep void devoid of stars....but apart from that nothing else.

It looked Normal, this would be easy to break free from. Leon probably didn’t have as much under his belt than him. After all he was the heir to the dalriss Household

However, after a while he came to understand something....this was troublesome.

There was nothing here, what was he going to use to break this illusion?
