Junpei and max got to his home and Nagi saw the foreigner and he looks kinda like her son but she could tell that he was a little more muscular but she noticed that Junpei smelled of sweat.

Nagi: Junpei why are you covered in sweat?

Junpei: I kinda asked max to take me for jogs and I kinda lost track of time.

Nagi: well if you are going to eat in the table it gonna happen if you are covered in sweat mister go take a shower.

Junpei: okay mom.

While Junpei went to the bathroom to shower Nagi invited max in.

Nagi: so you are max huh you seems like a nice guy.

Max: well if you don't be a dick to me I won't be a dick back.

Nagi: fair. So why are you here in Japan?

Max: I'm just here for a visit I plan to leave after a few days.

Nagi: well that's a shame but it's understandable I'm pretty sure your family just moved here for business.

Max: yeah business.

While Nagi and max were talking Junpei finished showering and max caught a glimpse of Junpei's physique looks like he will have too make sure to make him stronger.

Junpei: sorry if my mom is a bit too chatty we don't have much in terms of neighbors.

Nagi: watch it mister beside you need friends your age and not just spend your time alone.

Junpei just scoffed and got into the dinner table.

With that they had a good meal max of course was lying about certain things but overall it was a nice day.

And he decided to leave the yoshino's to there business.

Junpei was watching some tutorials about fighting techniques he didn't know that fighting styles were more complicated than he thought.

Junpei: looks like I still have a long way to go huh?

He then remembered about his companion and he summoned moon dregs and when he did he saw the same little jellyfish.

Junpei decided to test somethings with moon dregs he decided to see if he can make more then one moon dregs.

He focused on the feeling he had when he summoned moon dregs but he didn't feel a second presence so he concluded that he can only summon 1 moon dregs.

Then he decided to see if he can make moon dregs bigger.

He mentally ordered moon dregs to grow in size and it did it was big enough to fit the jellyfish in his head like a hat.

Junpei got up and touched moon dregs head and it felt really squishy he figured since dregs head is soft it might be able to tank hits

So moon dregs is good for tanking attacks now he had to find a way to use moon dregs in a fight and not just a punching bag.

He commanded it to get in an attack stance and he did moon dregs combined its tendrils and it created spikes.

Junpei: well good to know that I have a way to defend myself.

Nagi then opened the door and Junpei jumped in his seat and desummon moon dregs so that her mom didn't see it.

Nagi: hey Junpei can you throw away the trash for-why do you look like you got caught stealing candy?

Junpei: it's nothing you just surprised me that's all.

Nagi: uh huh well anyway can you throw away the trash? I'm planning to shower too.

Junpei: sure.

Junpei didn't know since her mother had no supernatural abilities she wouldn't have been able to see moon dregs even if it was standing right in front of her.

He got up and grabbed the trash bag and walked all the way to a dumpster that was a big far but he took that long route to think on how his life changed so quickly.

First not only there supernatural beings but 4 people close to his age and one being a zombie and they are from another world and now he has a jellyfish partner.

If someone told Junpei that his life will get more interesting he wouldn't have believed it for a second.

Junpei: guess I'm lucky somewhat.

He family made it back but he felt a massive malevolent pressure like the devil himself was behind him.

Junpei: what the hell is this and why is it coming from my home?

But when he focused his senses he felt his mother's soul but a creature was behind her

Junpei didn't think twice he enhanced his feet with spiritual energy and he jumped all the way towards the balcony.

(A few moments age)

Nagi was in her robes and sandals she didn't see her son anywhere so she assumed that he went to take out the trash she decided to wait for him.

She was about to grab a cigarette from his on her packs in the kitchen but she remembered that she wouldn't smoke since he is worried.

She decided put it back and just sat down she thought back to that boy max him and Junpei seem to get along she was glad that her son was making friends and not be a loner.

It was then that her door bell rang and she went to get but there was no one there but when she looked down she saw a small box with a label that said 'to the yoshinos'

Nagi would just left it there but she thought it was on of those late delivery she sometimes gets.

She unwrapped the box and inside was a weird looking finger it was red with a black sharp nail.

Nagi wasn't sure what this thing was but she was planning to put it back in the box and return it.

But unknowingly to her a curse was looking at her and the finger in her hand as dinner it was about to pounce but.

*CRASH*

Nagi saw her son bust through the balcony window and some strange jellyfish was behind him with spikes.

Junpei: STAY AWAY FROM MY MOM!!

With that scream of rage moon dregs launched its spiked tendrils at the curse paralyzing it.

Nagi saw the curse that moon dregs stabbed and she was confused and terrified she had so many questions on what was going.

Junpei hugged his mom and looked to make sure there was no injury.

Junpei: mom are you okay!?

Nagi: Junpei what is that thing and what with that jellyfish monster?

Junpei: don't worry he is friendly.

Junpei saw the finger in her mom's hand and he felt the terrifying pressure coming from it since he doesn't know what it was he told his mom to throw it.

But he noticed that the curse had purple rashes and it was struggling to get up he wasn't going to take any chances he ordered moon dregs to stab it again and separate it in two.

Nagi was holding the urge to throw up at the gory scene.

Junpei grabbed the finger and he threw it with all his might away from his house he didn't care what it was that finger almost got his mother killed.

When he turned he saw his mother was terrified and looking at moon dregs like it was going to hurt her.

Junpei: mom it's okay he only listens to me so he won't hurt you.

Nagi: what was that?

Junpei never heard his mother sound more scared and he couldn't blame her she almost died.

He got down to his mother's level and hugged her.

Junpei: don't worry mom tthat is gone.

Nagi felt a little better but she looked at her son with serious eyes.

Nagi: you will explain everything Junpei yoshino.

Junpei: and I will come on I don't think staying here is save let's go I know a place that we can stay for now.

Nagi: and that is?

Max got back to house and he saw his friends talking about something.

Max: what's this about sorcerers?

Peter: hey dude and yeah this guy blonde guy and pink haired guy were fighting those things they called them curses.

Squigly: that's an odd name but at least we know what to call them.

Sonia: well not just that but what they were fighting weren't curses but human that had there souls re shaped like someone or something molded the soul into that of a lost soul.

Max: fuck that's fucked up. Well anyway let's go to bed-

They heard a knocking sound and max went to get it he got his small blade if it was an attacker.

And when he opened the door it was Nagi and Junpei but Nagi looked shaken up and scared.

Max: ms.yoshino what happened?

Junpei: can you let us in first?

Max: right sorry come in.

The yoshinos came into the house and Nagi saw teens her sons age but one had her hood up and had purple skin she didn't know if that was a skin condition but that wasn't important.

Nagi sat on one of the chairs and looked at max and her son.

Nagi: you too explain

Max was confused and looked at Junpei for clarification.

Junpei: someone left a finger in my house that had a massive amounts of malevolence and it almost got my mom killed and I threw it away so that those things stay away from the house.

Max: i see although throwing that was a bad idea I understand why.

He then looked at Nagi and had a serious look.

Max: ms.yoshino can you keep a secret?

Nagi: it depends is this a threat?

Max: not a threat I'm just asking you to keep this on the down low.

Nagi was suspicious of max but she looked at her son's face and he nodded as a sign that said you can trust him.

Nagi: fine I won't talk about this whatever this is exactly.

Max: well we're should it start.

Max and his partners explained how they were from another world and how they got here and Junpei elaborated about his situation and how the creatures are called curses.

Nagi like her son had her world upside down.

Nagi: so you are from another world entirely?

Max: yup and my world and yours share a somewhat similar system.

Nagi: what do you mean?

Sonia: everyone including you have this negative energy but you're son it's kinda of a special case.

Nagi: so that jellyfish is that like a guardian spirit?

Junpei: I would call it a partner but yeah.

Nagi put her hand on her aching forehead to ease the headache.

Nagi: I still can't believe this the fact that you all are from different world.

Sonia: actually squigly here is not actually from our world she had a world of her own.

Nagi: huh?

Squigly took off her hoodie And leviathan came out of her head surprising nagi.

Squigly: hello ms.yoshino

Leviathan: good evening.

Nagi: what in gods name?

Max: relax she is won't hurt you nor leviathan they are actually the first person from another world to have spiritual energy.

Nagi: but why my son?

Junpei: I asked him to teach me how to use that power and he has been training me all though I kinda just started.

Peter: yeah squigly told us how Junpei was getting training from max here.

Max: yeah but the big question is why is Junpei being targeted?

Sonia: I think I have a theory.

Squigly: we are listening.

Sonia: I heard some police talking about a murder of 3 students that go to the same school as Junpei but the description of what happened was like there body were deformed.

Junpei: you are saying that someone is hunting people related to my school?

Sonia: it's a possibility.

Nagi: I don't think it's a good idea to go to school tomorrow I'll call the school.

While Nagi went to call the school and the teens went to talk about Junpei's ability.

Max: so the spikes of moon dregs can paralyze opponents and the signs are purple rashes looks like you might have a poison ability Junpei and from the sounds of it might be a paralyzing effect type of poison.

Junpei: that doesn't sound like a good ability I was expecting a little more.

Peter: don't worry about it my ability allows me to clone myself.

He demonstrated by creating a clone that appeared out of red wisps of energy.

C Pete: and I can do a lot more with just this.

Junpei: wow.

Nagi came back but she seemed mad.

Nagi: I called the school and I told them that Junpei can't come but they have an announcement of future careers and all students are demented to be present I tried to tell them that he isn't feeling well but they told me if he doesn't show up he will be expelled.

Sonia: I knew Japan sometimes was harsh but they should have some care for their students.

Junpei: I'm not surprised that school only brought trouble kids get bullied and the teachers don't do anything about it.

Nagi: I knew that school was shady but it was the only school near by I'm sorry Junpei.

Junpei: no mom it's okay looks like I have no choice but to go tomorrow.

Max: don't worry will be on standby in case the bastard tries anything.

Junpei: thanks max.

Nagi: by the way….why are there two of them?

Max and Junpei turned and saw the two Peter.

Max: i still have a lot to explain.
