Junpei was currently walking towards the movie theater to watch human earth worm 3 and while he was making his way to theatres he keeped on trying figure out what that guy did to heal him.

Junpei wasn't a religious person he doesn't believe in gods angels or demons but maybe that guy had some sort of supernatural power to heal him he just didn't know.

Junpei: I seriously can't get that guy out of my head is he some sort of alien or something else.

Junpei saw that he was getting close to the movie theater.

Junpei: I guess it shouldn't matter it's not like I'm going to see that guy again.

Junpei saw someone walking past him and into an alleyway and he saw that it was the same person who helped him in school.

Junpei: no way it's actually him! I'm not letting this chance go!

Junpei completely forgot the movie and ran to catch up with the black haired foreigner but unknowingly to him he just avoided an encounter with a very dangerous figure.

That same figure walked into the movie theater but he stopped and looked at were junpei was originally standing.

Mahito: huh why do I feel like someone was supposed to be here?

Mahito was a curse born from negative emotions and thoughts humans have towards each other and he was planning to go to the movies to kill his boredom he saw someone run past him but he gave it no thought.

But when he was about step into the theater he felt like he was supposed meet someone but after a few seconds he just shrugged it off.

Mahito: oh well.

And with that he went into the theater.

On the other side max went out to by someone food for his friends and he was about to take the rooftops as a short cut but a familiar voice stopped him.

Junpei: wait!!

Max:mmm?

Junpei was grabbing his knees while panting.

Junpei: it's- it's you I've didn't expect to see you again.

Max: you are the guy who was being bullied.

Junpei: yeah that me.

Max: you need something?

Junpei: well um.

Junpei was scattered brained he didn't expect to see this guy so he wasn't prepared to respond but he did had one question.

Junpei: why did you help me?

Max: huh?

Junpei: back in the school why did you helped me?

Max: I just saw some assholes kicking down someone for no reason.

Junpei: but you what was the reason you saved me everyone does something because they either befit something or someone else so tell me why did you help me?

Junpei wasn't ungrateful he was glad that someone helped him but he learned to expect bad things from others but he wanted to know what he gained from helping him.

Max:do I need a reason to help others?

Junpei: huh?

Max: I can see from your eyes that you expect me to be a bad person I will admit I'm not an angel but I'm not an asshole to let people die.

Junpei: so you helped just because you wanted to?

Max: yeah I have my own personal reasons for saving you but I'm not going to just let you suffer.

Junpei: I see.

Max: what's your name?

Junpei: junpei yoshino.

Max: I'm max McKnight nice to meet you well see ya.

Junpei: wait I have something else to ask!

Max stopped and he could have said that he is busy but he decided to hear him out.

Max: what is it?

Junpei: what did you do that healed me was that some sort of secret magic trick?

Max was contemplating on telling junpei that it was nothing but he sensed that negative energy in junpei but it was less flared up he decided to take a gamble.

Max: can you keep a secret?

Junpei: yeah?

Max: even if it's one that changes your view on the world?

Junpei gulp down his saliva.

Junpei: y yes I promise I won't say a word.

Max looked at junpei in the eyes and saw that he was being truthful.

Max: okay can you parkour?

Junpei: huh?

Junpei was on max's back and he was screaming like a little girl never in his life he would have thought he would be jumping up building like a roller coaster and he had the urge to puke but he was slowly adapting.

When it was done junpei and max were in the abandoned building.

Junpei: what is this place?

Max: my place or a temporary place.

Max led junpei inside and junpei saw 3 figures that looked like his age he saw a girl with green hair a guy with red hair and a girl with purple skin.

Junpei felt like he wasn't supposed to be here and max walked passed him and he put the bag of food on the table.

Sonia: what took you so long? And who is the scrawny guy?

Max: he is going to stay here for a while.

Squigly: why is he here?

Max: can't you sensed it?

The 3 were confused and they focused their senses and they saw the same energy as the creatures.

Sonia: well hell I can see why you brought him here.

Junpei: I'm so confused what are you guy talking about?

Max passed out each of them their ordered food and he grabbed his own but he saw that junpei was looking at it

Max: you want it?

Junpei: huh no I'm not hungry.

And as if to show he is lying his stomach growled.

And max looked at him with and unimpressed look.

Max: not hungry huh?

Junpei looked away out of embarrassment.

Junpei: I didn't eat back at my house.

Max once again offerd his food to junpei and reluctantly he took it.

Squigly: aren't you hungry max?

Max: not really I already ate while I was outside so it won't kill me to share.

Junpei ate max's food and it was good.

Junpei: this is good.

Max: thanks but let's get to business.

Junpei: so you are going to explain what's going on?

Max: well first let me ask you can you feel something inside you?

Junpei: no why?

Max saw that the blue aura around junpei wasn't changing so he decided to try something out.

Max: close your eyes and think of bad things.

Junpei was confused but he did as he was told and closed his eyes and he thought back to all the torturous days in his school.

Max and the others saw that junpei's energy was flaring up so that settled it this energy is triggered by negative emotions.

Max: okay stop.

Junpei: what is the point of all of this?

Max: you have an energy that you don't know how to use.

Junpei: huh?

Max: every time you feel negative emotions your energy flares up.

Junpei: you are saying that I have some weird energy inside me?

Max: everyone has it but you're are the only one we meet that has more than usual.

Junpei: so I'm not the only one?

Sonia: nope everyone has that wierd negative energy thing but yours is a bit more noticeable by people like us.

Junpei: you can use it?

Peter: sure can.

Junpei: you guys don't sound like you are familiar with this energy thing.

Max looked at his partners and he saw them giving him the go ahead.

Besides if junpei was good at lying through his eyes if he leaked this information no one would believe him.

Max: remember when I asked you if you can keep a secret? This is the one so brace yourself.

Junpei saw how serious max was and he returned the look and with that max took as sign to go ahead.

Max told junpei that they were from another world and his own situation and how his own world works and how squigly is from another a different world.

To say that junpei was shocked was an understatement he had his entire world view turned upside down he saw isekai mangas about characters dying or transported into other worlds.

Junpei didn't wondered much on the multiverse theory but he remembered that max healed him and that proof that max was telling the truth.

Junpei: so you four are from different worlds?

Max: yup me Peter and Sonia live in the same one squigly here has her own also I think is okay to let him see you completely.

Junpei saw the girl named squigly taking off her hood and he saw that the girl was more of a zombie but what surprised was the white dragon thing coming out of her head.

Leviathan: well at least I can stretch myself.

Junpei: what is that thing?

Leviathan: please call me a parasite and call me leviathan.

Junpei: um sure.

Junpei was still processing all of this but he had one question.

Junpei: why are you all here?

Max: well it's more to visit since I can't stay in one world for too long.

Junpei: why?

Max: someone is hunting me down I don't what or who but they are tracking me by irregular energy and this watch keeps them from tracking me but this is a prototype so I can't stay for more than 10 to 12 days.

Junpei: I see.

Now junpei had one more question.

Junpei: so that spiritual energy thing can I use it?

Max: well squigly was the first from another world to have spiritual energy and it not harming her so I think is okay if you learn but.

Max looked at junpei with seriousness.

Max: if we do this promise me to not get too much attention if people find out about an unknown energy source people will do crazy things to us and who knows what so junpei promise me that you will use this power with caution.

Junpei thought back to his bullies at school and he got mad at thought but he saw where max was coming from.

Junpei: I promise.

Max looked at junpei's face and he saw that he was somewhat lying.

Max: you are thinking of your bullies.

Junpei didn't answer.

Max: look it's okay if you fight back I won't judge you but all I'm asking is to not make a scene can you at least promise me that?

Junpei: I promise.

This time max saw that he was genuine.

Max: alright close your eyes and put the food down this might give you a tingle.

Junpei closes his eyes and put the halfway done food down.

Max touch junpei's back and he focused his spiritual energy on junpei's soul.

Unlike people back in his world max can sense that the soul was more isolated than in his world.

So he put spiritual energy in junpei's soul and he felt the negative energy was fading away and replaced with a more clearer energy.

Junpei felt a tingle in his heart and that feeling was growing all of his negative feeling were slowly disappearing and he felt more relaxed he opened his eyes and he saw his body covered in blue fire but it didn't hurt and he felt familiar with this power he felt that it came from his soul.

Max: give it a minute when spiritual user awake there spiritual energy the energy kinda explodes out but it calms down after a while.

Junpei: this is amazing.

Max: looks like your negative energy is gone it's possible that when I awoke your soul the negative energy around your body disappeared you feel any different?

Junpei: yeah my head is more clear and I feel more at peace all of my negative thoughts or well some of them are gone I feel like my negative thoughts have calmed down.

Squigly: looks like that negative energy has a bit of a side effect.

Sonia: yeah honestly spiritual energy is better at least it feels more rejuvenating.

Junpei's spiritual energy calmed down and max decided to teach him the basics.

Max: it's getting a little late so I'll teach you the basics tomorrow I'll show you more.

Junpei: okay.

Max: first focus on your soul and focus the energy around your body but focus more on your arms.

Junpei followed max's instructions and he closed his eyes to focus and he felt the energy and he grasped it and focused it on his body and arms.

When he opened his eyes he felt his body stronger and his arms felt stronger.

Junpei: wow.

Max: alrigh now closed your and see if you can sense something.

He once again followed his instructions and he closed his eyes he felt a small amount of presences near them but his the range small.

Junpei: I think I did it.

Max: good now go home its getting late.

Junpei got up and went to leave but he stopped and bowed his head.

Junpei: thanks a lot max.

After that he left.

Peter: you sure we can trust him about this?

Max: I can tell he isn't a bad guy and he seemed more relaxed so let's put our trust in him.

With junpei he was running back to his house and he decided to test out this power he focused the energy on his feet and he was running faster than before it wasn't crazy levels but it was enough that he barely felt tired.

When he got to his house he was a little tired but he was smiling.

Nagi saw her son in the door way panting but smiling unlike the other times when she saw her son smile it was more of a forced smile this the first time in a while that her son was smiling with genuine happiness.

Nagi: hey junpei what happened?

Junpei: well let's just say I had one crazy day mom.

Nagi: did you see that guy again?

Junpei: yeah and him and I talked and his name is max McKnight.

Nagi: that a interesting name but why isn't he with you?

Junpei: huh?

Nagi just facepalmed.

Nagi: you forgot to tell him to come visit.

Junpei was too focused on the events of today that he completely forgot about that.

Junpei: I'm sorry mom.

Nagi: well whatever come on.

Junpei got inside and spent time with his mom and when it was evening he was on his bed looking at the ceiling with a bright smile on his face.

Junpei: today was one hell of a good day tomorrow I'll have to go to school let's hope that it doesn't go bad.
