The next day squigly woke up and she smelled something good she thought that mikado was making breakfast so she got up and she got into more casual looking clothes she went down stairs saw mikado making sandwiches and she decided to greet her.

Squigly: good morning.

Mikado turned and saw squigly wearing a black jacket and shorts.

Mikado: morning how did you sleep?

Squigly: I slept well I've been buried for a long time and sleeping in a bed feels better than ever.

Leviathan: agreed staying motionless it's quite uncomfortable.

Squigly looked around and she didn't see max in the house.

Squigly: where is max?

Mikado: he is outside in the garden Mona heard that he was back and currently.

*CRASH*

There was a tremor and they heard max yelling.

Max: ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!?

Mona: NO THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT FOR WORRYING ME AND MOM!!

Squigly and leviathan weren't sure if max was abused or he just end up with crazy woman.

She turned and once again saw that smile on mikado's face that had a menacing aura and squigly felt like she should pray that max was okay.

A few moments ago.

Max was woken up by mikado who woke him up with an air horn and that wasn't pleasant she told him that Mona was in the garden waiting to see him.

He got there and Mona was there and she ran to him hugging him he was happy to see her but Mona turned from relief to hostile she transformed into her beast for and she said that she was gonna punish him for making her worry make moline didn't help she just took a seat and watched and max only had one thing to say about this situation.

Max: oh shit

And from there Max has been trying to get away from his rampaging little sister but Mona didn't let him rest.

Mikado and squigly got into the garden and they saw max running away from a beast that squigly assumed was Mona and mikado clapped his hands and Mona stopped.

Mikado: did you really think after being away for 2 weeks that I will forgive you max?

Max was laying on the ground sweating like he ran miles squigly was worried that max was having a heat stroke.

Mona reverted to her child looking form and was kicking max even when he was still in the ground.

Max: I guess I wasn't going to let off the hook that easily.

Mikado: damn right now go take a shower and change you're clothes we are having breakfast.

Max: yes ma'am.

He got up with and squigly saw that max was struggling to move his legs.

Squigly: you need any help?

Max: I would appreciate it but I'm way too sweaty so I don't recommend you touch me.

After max showered and got a simple black shirt and long pants the family and squigly were eating breakfast and mikado decided to ask the elephant in the room.

Mikado: max enough Staling where were you? You were gone for a 2 weeks.

Max stopped eating his sandwich and he swallowed and started to explain how he was in a different universe and how he meet an adult version of himself that gave him the watch to travel back here.

Mikado knew that everything max was saying sounded like absolute nonsense but squigly and leviathan supported his claim and the e.x.o corp's people looked everywhere for him but nothing came and mikado knew that her son has no reason to lie so she had no choice but to believe it.

Mikado: so squigly isn't from here?

Max: no she was from a different world completely different from ours.

Mikado: I want to say that's complete nonsense but I know you don't have a reason to lie to me especially after the punishment Mona gave you.

Max got gulped his saliva he knew that his youngest sister had snapping moments when he wasn't giving her much attention or mom lets her to punish him.

Squigly felt like she didn't belong here she wasn't used to this kind of family interaction now she's really believed what max said that he wasn't the strongest here but she could tell that him and mikado don't hate each other it's more like a soldier like relationship ship.

Mona: so now that big bro is back you won't leave right?

Max looked away at those words and mikado noticed this.

Mikado: max?

Max took a breath and decided to rip the bandage off.

Max: I can't stay here for more than 10 or 12 days.

Squigly saw how the family was hurt about the situation and she couldn't blame them.

Mikado: well if you really can't stay here than you can at least make it count.

Max: why did you think I came here?

Mikado got out her phone and was about to call Evelyn about max being back but max's watch suddenly activated and wires came out and installed them selves into mikado's phone.

Makido: what's going on with that thing.

Max: no clue this is the first time this happened.

While max and mikado were trying to get the wires off they came of themselves and got back to the watch.

Max: well he could have at least a warning about the wires.

Mikado: well max I think your friends are missing you I don't think you shouldn't keep them waiting anymore.

Max: right they are probably dying to see me.

Max: mom don't be over dramatic she isn't a bad person.

Mikado: calm down you big baby it's just a simple talk. Come on I make it quick.

Squigly saw how mikado wasn't giving her the suspicious look but instead it was just worry squigly thought that this time she won't be threatened by this woman.

Mikado and squigly were in the gardens and she looked at the undead girl with a worried look.

Mikado: I'm going to be honest I hate this whole max being hunted by someone especially if it's from a different universe.

Squigly didn't talk but listen to the woman.

Mikado: my son trust you and I can tell by your soul and your character that you are a good person and you and max seem to get along well so promise me that you will keep an eye on him and make sure nothing happens to him can you promise me that?

Squigly could see that mikado was pleading with her make sure nothing happens to max she wasn't sure if she can do that because the power gap between them was evident but she could at least make sure that max doesn't get into trouble.

Squigly: I promise though I don't think I'm the right person to do this.

Mikado: don't talk like that I can tell you a good head on your shoulders all I'm asking is that you every you can to keep my son okay.

Squigly: yeah but your son is stronger than me compare to him I'm not that strong.

Leviathan: sadly yes I must agree I can understand your worry miss mikado but your son seems to have the power to defend himself so if anything we won't be able to do much.

Mikado was somewhat confused and she used her senses and she saw that squigly's soul was unpowered by max but she doesn't know how to use it but she can do something about that.

Mikado walked away leaving squigly confused on what she meant.

After a few minutes max and squigly who was back in her dress were outside jumping from building to building.

Max: to where the base of operations in the city.

Leviathan and squigly were confused at this were the exorcist hiding in some underground base?

After a while of max parkouring his way through buildings him and squigly were in the entrance of a forest area that has sign that says "no trespassing"

Squigly: max are you sure this is the place?

Max: I'm positive now do me a favor and put your hand on my shoulder.

Squigly: why?

Max: my mom made a hallucination charm that makes a person hear or see there worse nightmares or bad memories this affects people with no spiritual energy mastery but those with spiritual are immune to its effects but not for long so since you don't have any control of spiritual energy you will get a one we ticket to ptsd city.

They then started to walk towards the forest and mist started to spread around and squigly started to hear voices of her mother father and dahlia she was gripping max's shoulder hard to keep her calm.

But it got worse when she heard gun shots and the words that cursed her family.

Selene: please…give me back my family. Roberto squigly save them all!

Roberto: leviathan bond with my daughter.

(H)leviathan: what but if I do that you will-

Roberto: I know but she is more important than my own life bond with sienna and stop anyone from harming her even me.

Roberto then let out a scream while his body was becoming decayed and some parts of his skin were exposed with bones coming out.

Standing in front squigly was her mother who was a skullgirl and her undead father looking at her with desperate eyes.

(H)Selene: help us squigly don't let us die.

Squigly was starting to cry and her legs gave out and she was holding her head as the voices got louder.

She experience this memory multiple times but this feels too real and she was loosing her mind but then she felt a warm feeling in her soul and the voices disappeared.

Squigly looked up and saw max and leviathan looking at her with worry.

Leviathan: squigly can you hear us!?

Squigly: what?

Max: I knew that what you went through was hard but looks like the hallucination didn't hold back.

Squigly: it felt so real like I was reliving that moment and it felt so real I just.

Max saw squigly crying he didn't like to see the poor girl cry he knew saying is gonna be okay won't do anything so all he can do is giving her a shower to cry on.

And he did just that he hugged squigly and she let out all her bottled up feelings and he saw that she was still shaken.

Max: sorry if I knew that the forest was harsh but this the first time I see how bad it does with trespassers.

Squigly: max.

Max:mmm?

Squigly: I'm jealous of you. You and mikado and the other girls get along so well and I miss having a family I don't what I'm supposed to do I'm just a walking corpse with nothing accomplish I just don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Max was quiet and didn't say a word.

Squigly: max what should I do? I don't want to rot away again and all I want is my family back but that would cause me to turn into a monsters and a part of me just wants to give up.

Max looked on to exit of the haunted forest they were half way there and he gave squigly his honest awnser.

Max: I don't know how to help I wanna say I do but I would either be lying or giving you false hope but I can say this if you want to accomplish but you don't know what? The we will find one.

Squigly: huh?

Max: you said that you don't have nothing to accomplish then I will help you look for it then we can start somewhere.

Squigly: but.

Max: no if ands or buts we will find it and I'll be there to help don't do everything yourself asking for help isn't a weakness.

Max extended his hand and squigly could have sworn that the sun was shining on max like he was his own personal guardian angel but that aside she took his hand and he helped her up.

Squigly looked at max and she hugged him again for giving her a little hope.

Squigly: thanks max I'm so thankful that you helped me out.

Max: we are friends right you watch my back I will watch yours now come on we are half way out.

They got to walking again but this time squigly didn't pay attention to the voices thanks to max covering her with his black spiritual energy the voices were like whispers.

After a while they made it through the forest and squigly saw an area with buildings and a garden this sight was beautiful in a way.

but she saw that max looked like he was holding the urge to announce his presence but he wanted it to be a surprise.

Max: come on it's time to see my guys.
