Everything was a complete blur for max he knew he entered the portal but he felt like his body is having trouble adapting to whatever is happening to him it doesn't hurt but his brain felt like it was gonna explode because he feels like something was wrong.

But that stopped when he fell to the ground got up with a almost fried brain and he saw that squigly was there with him he could assume that he actually got her pulled into that portal.

Squigly: ow my head hurts.

Leviathan: indeed never before have I had this much of a headache.

Squigly turn to max how feel to the ground but she saw blood and she was worried but when she got a closer look she saw that max was bleeding from his nose.

Squigly: max are you okay?

Max: not really I feels like my brain went through a blender and put it back into my skull I'll be fine I can feel it going away.

Good you are here…..welll I wasn't expecting that you would bring a partner.

Max forced himself up and got out his blade in a wobbly stance with squigly also in a stave with leviathan.

Unknown: whoa whoa easy I'm friendly!

Max: yeah you almost killed me with that dammed watch so who the hell are you and what do you want from me!?

Unknown: take one good look at me and guess.

Max: the hell you talking about?

Max was at first confused at what this individual was getting at but when he looked at him he seemed almost like.

Max: no fucking way….. you are me!?

Squigly: what.

Max?: bingo looks like little me got it.

Squigly was confused on what's going on but when she looked at both of them the look almost identical.

Squigly: are you?

Max?: that's right I'm basically a future version of little me here but to not confuse one over the other just call me advanced max or ad-max.

Max was dumbfounded he saw shows were they do episodes of futures or other what ifs but never in his life would it happen to him.

Ad-max: well anyway I'm sure you all have questions come on I'll get you some drinks.

Max and squigly looked at each other not knowing what to do or say but eventually they followed the adult counter part of max.

While they were following the other max the they saw how this world is different from what they were used to.

For max he always imagined a futuristic world with flying cars and really tall buildings but this looks like a mix of his current era and futuristic he honestly thinks it's beautiful.

As for squigly she has never seen a city this advanced and with so many people having a good time she had never seen a lot of possibly since her mother's party before dahlias destroyed it.

Ad-max: it's beautiful right? Come on I have a lot to explain.

The two got back to business and followed him to a bar like part of his living room but the most eye catching thing was that a robot was there cleaning up a glass

Ad-max: hey Larry give me a drink and give little me a soda I don't want him to develop a drinking habit.

Larry: funny sir.

The robot who is named looked the younger version of his employer he saw photos of him and his group but seeing him in person feels somewhat odd but he wasn't going to argue.

Larry: it a pleasure to meet the younger version of my employer hope you enjoy your stay and you two ma'am.

Ad-max: Larry don't be all formal I may be your boss but you are the one who makes sure I don't do anything stupid.

Larry: I know.

Ad-max: actually hold on squigly right?

Squigly: yes?

Ad-max: you drink tea?

Squigly: I do but I don't mind having cream soda.

Ad-max: you hear the girl Larry.

Larry: coming right up.

While Larry was preparing the drinks max decided to get to the point.

Max: so explain you said someone was after me who is it.

Ad-max: well little me I don't know exactly who but what I know is that they are from the dark part of the universe.

Squigly: what do you mean?

Ad-max: let me answer that question with a question max do you think you are the original?

Max: the hell is that supposed to mean?

Ad-max: here is the thing either you or me are the original max McKnight we are just copies from the main one in other words we are like clone with our own worlds.

Max: wait so you are saying that you aren't the main version me but a copy?

Ad-max: yup I lived the same life fighting lost souls and mikado adopted me but I managed to make it to the point I made my own band of exorcist to support the community and I also became a scientist I had the idea of other worlds so I decided to snoop around and I actually managed to do it that's when I found out that the universe is more than meets the eye not only are there countless worlds but those worlds are born through what if scenarios or other things and you and I are other versions of the main max McKnight the first one to exist.

Max and squigly we're having trouble processing this bombshell of information but max was more in shock the fact that he is just a copy of the main version of his counterpart was one he didn't expect in his whole life.

Squigly was also processing this and she could tell max took this the hardest but this got her thinking and she decided to ask.

Squigly: am I also a copy?

Ad-max: yeah but don't worry about it it's not bad at all sure it made me question my existence but I'm fine with what I have so should you.

Squigly looked away from the other max because she assumed that he doesn't know her background.

Ad-max: oh right sorry I forgot your didn't have it easy.

Leviathan: if I may ask what happens if our main counter part dies?

Ad-max: we all get erased.

They could have sworn that a pen dropped because max squigly and leviathan were horrified by that response.

Squigly: erased? what do mean.

Ad-max: if the main version of ourselves died in there world nothing would happen to there counterpart because it's in there world however if someone from another universe like me for example kill the main max McKnight you and little me would be erased all versions of us.

Max: holy shit. But wait you mentioned the dark part of the universe what does that mean?

Larry gave them their drinks and ad-max took a sip of his alcoholic drink and answered.

Ad-max: in short terms it's were the evil version of ourselves reside.

Max: evil version?

Ad-max: like I said countless worlds countless versions of ourselves and of course you and I have evil counter parts including squigly here.

Leviathan: I want to deny it but honestly it would sound like a lie.

Ad-max: I never saw the dark universe because if didn't watch a version of myself doing horrible things but whoever is hunting you is from that place I tried to find out who but my signal is blocked I can see other bad worlds fine but when I go somewhere else my signal gets cut off.

Max: in the message you said that I was putting people in that world in danger what do you mean?

Ad-max: when that Clown sent you to squigly's world your body was giving off irregular energy that's because you aren't not in your own world and the longer you stayed there the one who is tracking you will find you easily.

Max: so those lost souls I killed were scouts?

Ad-max: fortunately no they were just there when the clown sent you there I sent you that watch so that your irregular can be suppressed at least for a bit like I said in my med this is a prototype I'm working on a new one.

Max looked at the watch on his wrist and he thought of something.

Max: hey with this thing can I go to my home world?

Ad-max: yeah you can but unfortunately if you plan to go home and call it a day it's not gonna happen your irregular energy is stuck on you even you go back to your home world it will continue to be there like I said the watch is suppressed but the longer you stay in one place it will build up so in maximum of 10 or 12 days is when it will start to grow unstable and that tingles you felt when you traveled to the portal was the build up irregular energy leaving your body and a new one taking over don't worry you will get used to it.

Max: that's good and all but how do I work this thing.

Larry: allow me.

Larry grabbed max's wrist and showed him the systems of the watch.

Larry: this prototype has only two options to universal calls so that we can communicate in case something goes wrong and if it isn't obvious the travel system how it works is that you put your spiritual energy into it and you have a portal of course you can select which world to go to.

Ad-max: like I said you can't stay in one place for too long so I will be sending you data from other words and send it I know you want to go back to your regular life but hey at least you get to explore other worlds and learn something new.

Max: I guess.

Max looked at squigly and he decided to ask something.

Max: hey squigly do you want to go back to your world?

Squigly: no honestly I don't I've got nothing left in there….. but you free me from the cycle of death and rebirth and actually gave me a chance to do what i want to do.. you did so much for me in that cruel world I just want to stay away from that place for a while.

Max: I get it.

Max then realized something that he didn't ask.

Max: hey you said I got this irregular energy when I traveled to squigly's world would the same happen to her?

Ad-max: no it won't..my watch may be a prototype but when someone who doesn't have irregular energy goes through the portal they won't suffer any side effects actually I forgot something give me your wrist.

Max: did as he was told and his adult version was tinkering with the watch and after a second he was done.

Ad-max: I removed the pull in function that way when you cross over you won't have worry about being sucked into the portal.

Max: well it's was nice to meet you big me and you too Larry.

Larry: please the pleasure is mine.

Max tapped on the watch and he selected his home world when he did as he was told and put his spiritual energy in it and he felt a destitution in the air like before but this time it was controlled the watch sparked and it shot out a blast that turned in the same portal that pulled them in here.

Max and squigly looked in awe at the portal now that they knew what was happening they saw the watch as a very helpful tool.

Max looked back at his adult counterpart and Larry and waved good bye.

The two returned the gesture and with a heavy hope to see his family and friends again max stepped into the portal with squigly following behind him.

At the dark side of the universe the knight who was tracking down max got back to his master he got to his knees in acceptance of his punishment.

Red knight: my lord i regret to inform that my search for max McKnight has hit a dead end I was close to location but the tracker lost his signal I failed in my mission and I will accept any punishment I get.

At a throne a figure in red and black was looking at his subject not with rage but with curiosity.

Black knight: you won't get a punishment the information you gave me is most curious.

Red knight: my lord may I speak?

Black knight: go ahead.

Red knight: is it possible that someone from another universe is helping him?

Black knight: it's possible there could be ones with multiversal knowledge…. were is krash?

Krash: right her your majesty

Black knight: looks like you are back in good shape.

Krash: damn right that little shit almost killed me I got luck that I had one more arm but that aside how that woman.

At that Eliza walked into the throne room but the most eye catching detail was that she had a mark on her chest.

Krash: got to say boss you definitely caught a lady.

Eliza: keep looking at me and I will claw your eyes out.

Krash: and she comes with an attitude nice.

Black knight: enough!

They all went quiet when he called them out black knight then walked to a hologram of of his target.

Black knight: I won't stop until I have his power in my hands krash put the researchers at double duty Eliza you go with him to look for McKnight but bring him to me alive.

Eliza: what's so special about that boy anyway.

Black knight: you wouldn't get it after all you couldn't even beat him and he knocked you down in two hits do me a favor and follow your end of the bargain work for me and I will give you power.

Eliza wouldn't take the disrespect but she looked at the mark on her chest and hold her tongue and she was disgusted to say this.

Eliza: yes my lord.

After that she left leaving black knight looking at the image of max McKnight with rage and greed.

Black knight: when I get my hands on you….i will take everything that is rightfully mine.
