Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Ice Super Dungeon
Chapter 99: Ice Super Dungeon
October 7th, Monday. Today, I secretly worked on my side job while attending classes. In the previous loop, instead of attaching Dragonfly feathers to shoes or equipment, I decided to dedicate them solely for Flight items and attached them to a ring. This time, I followed the same method and created a simple pendant top resembling a dog tag from the beginning. The miscalculation was that Ruf’s feathers were too large to work on the desk. So, I had to make them from other materials. First, I made a Fire Rat talisman. With this, I gained immunity to flames and some cold resistance. Furthermore, I attached the remaining tails to the Explosion magical tool to boost its firepower. It turned into quite a destructive weapon.
Next were the talismans for Accelerate and Wind Shield, which I made from Falcon and Sylph materials respectively. As for the talisman for Flight, I debated whether to attach them to existing magical tools, but their advantage lies in being usable without MP consumption. So, I made as many talismans as possible and relied on quantity.
How to harmonize magical tools and talismans with different attributes without conflicting. I learned this from Ophelia, Urrica’s second daughter, during the third loop. She’s a researcher who specializes in making clothing-based armor called sewing. The essence of this technique lies in the dark attribute. By incorporating a sacred text of darkness that covers everything, you can give conflicting properties at the same time. I decided to weave magic threads and make a charm with a string containing symbols of the sacred text, which I would wear around my neck like a dog tag.
Next target: the top-tier Super Dungeon. The closest one is right in the middle of the northern mountains, the Ice Super Dungeon. Among all attributes, fire attributes have the highest firepower. Therefore, it’s a common belief that dungeons where fire attributes can be used are easier to conquer compared to others. But just coming here is tough. Even in the original world, countless mountaineers lost their lives attempting to challenge the world’s highest peaks. Here, even with magic and skills, the difficulty level until arrival remains the same. However, if you can fly, it’s a different story.
Protected by the Wind Shield, I flew here with Accelerate and Flight stacked on top of each other. With the Fire Rat talisman, I’m also well-protected from the cold. I didn’t buy any specific equipment, just my casual wear and leather shoes.
The Ice Super Dungeon also allows you to see the entire floor. The monsters here, fitting their water attributes, not only inflict status abnormalities but also unleash ice breath even while floating in the air. However, protected by the dominant Wind Shield, it’s exhilarating to simply rampage through with Explosion. I incinerated venomous lizards, ferocious beasts hurling icicles, and even the ice spirits freezing everything, before reaching the bottom floor and facing the Frost Dragon. There, I relentlessly unleashed the strongest Fireballs and repeatedly attacked the Phoenix. Take that, Sapphire!
Choo-choo-choo-choo-choo-boom.
With my flight speed significantly increased, I got carried away and circled until late at night. The only regret was not preparing for an overnight stay properly. Thanks to the Fire Rat talisman, I wasn’t cold, but I hadn’t even bought a cloak, so I had to sleep in my casual wear on a stone bed. Moreover, my food supply was meager. I managed with the leftover snacks I bought before going to Plebeville the other day. I was used to going on expeditions all the time, and my inventory always had some food or clothing, which became a disadvantage this time. It hasn’t even been two weeks in this loop yet.
However, it was worth enduring the hunger. October 13th, Sunday. I finally reached my long-awaited Level 100.
