Konoha, Just Like Kizaru

Chapter 61: 061 Jounin Exam, Ambush

A Cloud Shinobi team is rapidly approaching the lighthouse.

When they saw the lighthouse approaching, they already had a relaxed look on their faces.

"Good thing we had Yugito Nii with us. Otherwise, there's no way we'd have gotten so many scrolls"

A Cloud Shinobi said with a smile.

The other face was equally beaming.

"And they're all stolen from Konoha. That makes it even better."

"Who told them to dare to speak out in front of YuGito Nii?" One of Cloud Shinobi had some hesitation on his face.

"Still... won't Konoha retaliate? That Hanyu Simu seems really strong."

This momentary doubt was immediately dismissed by his teammates.

"That Simu just got lucky sneaking up on Yugito Nii-sama," one Cloud Shinobi scoffed.

"Can you even call that a victory?"

The speaker wiped away the cold sweat on his brow, clearly uneasy despite his words.

Suddenly, the team's scout froze, his expression changing in an instant.

"Watch out!" he shouted.

Before the warning fully registered, several golden chains shot out from the snowy forest like massive pythons.

One Cloud Shinobi, too slow to react, was caught.

The chains coiled tightly around his calf, immobilizing him.

"Damn, what kind of ninjutsu is this?" the trapped Cloud Shinobi yelled, his voice strained as he felt his strength fading.

"This chain... it's draining my Chakra!" he warned desperately.

Hearing this, a teammate quickly drew his ninja blade and struck the chain with all his might.

The blade clashed against the golden links, sparking briefly, but the chain remained completely unscathed—not even the smallest crack appeared.

"Incoming!"

Three kunai streaked through the air, their attached explosive tags hissing ominously.

Then—

"Boom!"

A fiery explosion erupted, engulfing the trapped Cloud Shinobi. The snow around the blast melted instantly into puddles of water.

The remaining two Cloud Shinobi stared in confusion, their faces frozen with disbelief.

"Haha! Now you've seen how awesome I am!"

Kushina, with her fiery red hair, stepped confidently out of the woods.

Her plan was simple yet effective: use the Adamantine Sealing Chains to trap the enemy, then finish them off with explosive tags. Straightforward and brutal.

"It's the red-haired woman from Konoha!" one of the remaining Cloud Shinobi exclaimed, instantly recognizing her.

Kushina smirked, her confidence unwavering as veins bulged on her hands, signaling she was ready for more

"Lightning Style: Thunder Beast!"

A crackling beast of lightning formed, charging through the snow straight at Kushina.

Despite its ferocious roar, Kushina remained unfazed. While she wasn't on the same level as Simu or Minato, her strength in this exam was not considered weak.

With a swift motion, four golden chains shot out from her body, lashing at the Thunder Beast like whips.

The chains struck with such force that the beast dissolved into scattered sparks of lightning, disappearing into the cold air.

The chain was supported on the ground, and Kushina jumped into the air.

Gathering power in her fist, she delivered a devastating punch downward.

"Earth Style: Earth Flow Wall!" A defensive wall of stone rose to block her attack.

But how could this kind of ninjutsu resist Kushina's terrifying power?

Cracks spread from the earth wall.

In less than a second, the entire earthen wall collapsed completely!

"Take this!"

Kushina shouted, her punch landing with huge force, leaving the Cloud Shinobi who used Earth Style gravely injured.

Seizing the moment, another Cloud Shinobi run at her, his ninja blade crackling with lightning.

"Lightning Style: Thunder Blade!" he shouted, swinging the charged blade toward Kushina's throat from the side.

His eyes burned with ruthless determination, aiming for a lethal strike.

The speed was also unexpected, and it was completely heading for Kushina's life!

Kushina's heart skipped a beat.

But just as the blade closed in, a flash of light intervened.

"You Cloud Shinobi sure love dirty tricks like this," Simu remarked casually, appearing between Kushina and her attacker.

With his Armament Haki-hardened fingers, he effortlessly stopped the lightning blade mid-swing.

"Wow, so scary," Simu quipped mockingly.

The stunned Cloud Shinobi barely had time to react before Simu's foot struck his stomach, sending him flying.

The Cloud Shinobi flew through the air like a flash of light, covering hundreds of meters before finally stopping.

He was barely alive, just a breath away from death.

"Be careful. There may be some hidden threats among the Cloud Shinobi," Simu warned.

"I don't need you here," Kushina replied with a smile, her expression turning sly and mischievous.

It seemed that the person who had been domineering just moments ago wasn't quite the same as the one standing there now.

Simu gently patted Kushina on the head.

His Observation Haki extended across several kilometers, covering the area.

In the distance, the Yunito Nii and two teams of Cloud Shinobi were blocking Konoha's Ino-Shika-Chō team.

"This is really troublesome," Shikaku said, rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"The Yunito Nii from Cloud Shinobi Village... no matter how we look at it, we can't win."

A deep wound was visible on Yamanaka's arm next to him.

Akamichi Choza, being the tank of the group, took the most damage.

His body was covered in burns.

As he looked at the fierce Yunito Niis, Shikaku considered surrendering.

After all, they were still young, and this trial was just an experience.

It wouldn't matter if they lost; safety was the priority.

Meanwhile, several kilometers away, Simu raised his hands in a pistol pose.

Locking onto his target like a hunter, he whispered: "Found you."
