Konoha, Just Like Kizaru

Chapter 5: 005 Logia: Light-Light Fruit

Since Simu was the final contestant, the Third Hokage could already make his decision.

In truth, there wasn't much to judge.

Simu's overwhelming strength, even surpassing Minato's, made the outcome clear.

The Third Hokage officially declared Simu as today's champion.

"Son, you're number one," the Third Hokage said with a gentle smile.

But Simu didn't seem to care. He simply asked, "When will the 200,000 Ryos be handed out?"

"Uh..." The Third Hokage was momentarily speechless.

The assistant nearby quickly stepped in, handing Simu a bank note worth 200,000 Ryos, which made him smile.

"Thank you, Lord Third Hokage!"

Simu said, satisfied, as he returned to the stands.

The word "justice" boldly displayed on his back seemed to stand out even more.

At the same time, a notification in his ear made his smile grow wider.

"Imitation value has reached 20%."

"Extracting ability..."

"Ability extraction successful. Congratulations, you've obtained [Light Fruit]."

Simu almost jumped with excitement. The Logia-type Light-Light Fruit!

He had finally gotten the Light Fruit! He felt a huge transformation in his body.

With just a thought, he could now turn into light and appear anywhere within his line of sight!

If the Third Hokage weren't watching him from behind, Simu might have turned into light and disappeared.

However, the situation was important, and Simu wanted to see the situation first.

Regardless, what he displayed today had already left the other students in awe—even if one of them might become the future Fourth Hokage.

"Simu, you made 200,000 Ryos today, so there's no excuse not to treat us to a meal!"

Kushina playfully wrapped her arms around Simu's neck right after school.

Namikaze Minato stood nearby, nodding in agreement with her suggestion.

Although Simu wanted to go home immediately and try his abilities.

With both of them inviting him so kindly, and feeling in a great mood, Simu quickly agreed.

"Fine, I'll treat you to a meal," he said, pretending to be annoyed.

"I want barbecue!" Kushina exclaimed, letting go of Simu and running happily toward the barbecue shop.

Namikaze Minato patted Simu on the shoulder. "With Kushina's appetite, you're probably going to spend a lot this time."

Simu sighed, "Just this once."

"Ha ha ha ha."

They both laughed.

....

After the dinner, Simu eagerly returned home. As an orphan, he had lived in an orphanage since childhood.

The dean, Yamanaka Ota, a kind old man from the Yamanaka clan, took care of him.

Hearing about Simu's outstanding performance in the graduation exam, Ota was genuinely happy for him.

"Simu, I hope you can become a great ninja," Yamanaka Ota said sincerely.

"Eh, we'll see what happens," Simu replied, still laid-back and carefree, showing no signs of embracing the Will of Fire.

Once in his room, Simu carefully began testing his new abilities.

Why be careful?

The reason was obvious: Anbu.

With the skills Simu displayed today, he had likely caught the attention of the Third Hokage—and possibly even Danzo.

For both Simu's safety and Konoha's, surveillance was likely unavoidable in the coming days.

Surveillance is still just surveillance.

As long as Simu was careful, watching through walls and windows, the Anbu wouldn't notice anything unusual.

After all, his abilities weren't from this world.

Standard reconnaissance jutsu is designed to track ninjas who also use chakra in combat.

For example, the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan might be powerful, but they likely can't detect a power like Simu's, which comes from another world.

After confirming that all windows and doors were securely closed, Simu began his testing. He raised his arms, ready to explore his new abilities.

"Zzzzz..."

A faint laser sound echoed as a golden light began to gather within Simu's body, ready to burst forth.

Although Simu was excited, he did not choose to launch it.

He had only inherited the power of the Light-Light Fruit, meaning all the techniques would need to be developed by him over time.

Instead of directly using Kizaru's moves, Simu had to develop his own techniques—though even this basic power was already incredibly strong.

Next, he tried elementalization.

As he stood still, his body began to glow, breaking apart into countless light particles and disappearing. In an instant, he reappeared on the other side of the room.

"I can do it," Simu thought, a satisfied grin forming on his face.

In a world without Armament Haki, mastering elemental transformation would greatly boost Simu's chances of survival.

However, he couldn't be completely careless.

While there's no Armament Haki here, techniques like the Eight Inner Gates, genjutsu, and sealing jutsu could still have a deadly threat.

It was better to be cautious.

After testing his abilities for a while, Simu finally sat down on the bed, feeling satisfied.

"Alright, time to move on!"
