Chapter 84: Chapter 83
Haruka, Hila, and Mera sped through the underwater currents, their sleek craft evading the relentless pursuit of the Atlantean guards. Hila's skilled piloting allowed them to outmaneuver the mechanical shark-like vehicles, but the enemy's firepower continued to batter their vessel.
Haruka knew they couldn't keep this up forever. Turning to Mera, who cradled the injured Atlanna, he said, "I need to get Atlanna medical attention. Is there anything on board that can help?"
Mera's brow furrowed as she considered the options. "The craft has a basic medical kit, but Atlanna's wounds are severe. We need something more powerful to heal her."
Haruka's mind raced, and then he remembered the Mad Doctor, the sentient Shift Car he had acquired. "I have just the thing," he said, summoning the small, ambulance-like vehicle. "Mad Doctor, can you help us?"
The Mad Doctor beeped in affirmation, its lights flashing. Haruka turned to Atlanna, who watched him with weary eyes. "This will be painful, but it's the only way to save you," he said gently.
Atlanna nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. "I trust you, Kamen Rider. Do what you must."
Haruka placed the Mad Doctor near Atlanna, and the tiny vehicle began its work, its healing energies enveloping the injured queen. Atlanna winced, but she endured the treatment, her determination unwavering.
Atlanna winced as the Mad Doctor's healing energies washed over her, but the pain slowly subsided.
"It's working," Mera murmured, watching as Atlanna's wounds began to close. Haruka let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, grateful the treatment was helping.
Their craft suddenly shuddered as another blast rocked it.
"We can't take much more of this," Hila called out, her hands gripping the controls tightly. Haruka turned to her,
"Do we have any weapons on this thing? We need to fight back."
Hila's brow furrowed as she surveyed the controls. "There are defensive systems, but they're not meant for prolonged combat." She paused, her expression turning grim. "We need to find a way to lose them quickly."
Haruka turned to Hila. "Open the back, I'll handle our friends back there."
Hila's brow furrowed. "You can't be serious. That's suicide!"
Haruka looked at her intently. "Hila, I need you to trust me. This is the only way we're going to lose them."
Hila's eyes narrowed as she considered his words. The craft shuddered again under the relentless assault. With a resigned sigh, she made her decision.
"All right, Kamen Rider. I'll lower the bridge." Hila's fingers danced across the controls, and the back of the craft opened, revealing a sleek ramp descending into the turbulent waters.
Haruka gave her a determined nod. "Keep Atlanna safe. I'll be back before you know it."
Without another word, Haruka leaped out of the craft, plunging into the depths. Hila watched, her heart pounding, as the Kamen Rider disappeared into the dark waters, ready to confront their pursuers head-on.
Haruka gripped his Abyss armor, feeling its power coursing through him.
"Abysslasher, Abysshammer, combine!" he shouted. The two Contract Monsters obeyed, merging in a flash of light. Moments later, Abyssodon emerged - a colossal, mechanical shark in shades of blue, black, and silver. Haruka smirked, ready to unleash its might against their Atlantean pursuers.
Abyssodon let out a thunderous roar, its mechanical jaws snapping menacingly. Turning to the pursuing Atlantean vehicles, Haruka said, "Time to show you the true power of the sea."
Haruka was riding on the back of Abyssodon as they charged at the enemy, breaking through their ranks. The chainsaw attachment activated, transforming Abyssodon into something resembling a saw shark. The chainsaw sliced through the shark-like vehicles of the Atlantean guards.
The shrill whir of the chainsaw echoed through the water as Abyssodon carved a path through the enemy fleet. Haruka gripped the massive monster's back, guiding its movements with precise commands. The Atlantean vehicles attempted to retaliate, but their firepower seemed insignificant against the raw power of Abyssodon.
Sparks flew as the chainsaw tore through the sleek, hydrodynamic hulls of the Atlantean craft. One by one, the enemy ships were disabled, their pilots forced to abandon their damaged vessels. Haruka watched with grim determination, knowing he had to buy Hila and the others enough time to escape.
Abyssodon's jaws snapped and its tail thrashed, creating a whirlpool that disoriented the remaining Atlantean forces. Haruka then directed the monster to target the engines of the last few pursuers, crippling their ability to give chase.
Haruka was about to return to Hila and the others when he was suddenly attacked by Tula, who questioned him about why he had attacked Atlanna.
"What have you done to the Queen?!" Tula demanded, her voice laced with fury as she confronted Haruka. Her powerful Atlantean physique and mastery of hydrokinesis made her a formidable opponent, and Haruka knew he had to tread carefully.
Raising his hands in a placating gesture, Haruka quickly explained, "I haven't attacked Atlanna. In fact, I'm trying to save her." He went on to describe the situation, hoping Tula would understand that his intentions were not malicious.
Tula did not believe Haruka's explanation and launched herself at him, hydrokinetic energy crackling around her hands. Haruka braced himself, ready to defend against her onslaught.
Before Tula could strike, a blur of motion appeared, and Kaldur, another skilled Atlantean warrior, descended upon Haruka, his water-based weapons drawn.
"Not you too!" Haruka exclaimed, his heart racing as he found himself caught between two formidable opponents.
Kaldur's eyes narrowed as he regarded Haruka with suspicion. "You will answer for your crimes against the Queen," he said, his voice firm and unyielding.
Haruka knew he had to act quickly to avoid being overwhelmed. Summoning his Abyss Sabers, he parried Tula's hydrokinetic attacks while dodging Kaldur's swift strikes. The water around them churned with the intensity of the clash, and Haruka struggled to maintain his footing.
As the battle raged on, Haruka realized he couldn't keep this up indefinitely. He needed to find a way to break free and rejoin Hila and the others, but the relentless assault from Tula and Kaldur made that seem impossible.
Haruka called out to Abyssodon,
"Abyssodon, attack Tula and Kaldur!"
The colossal creature let out a thunderous roar, its mechanical jaws snapping menacingly. Abyssodon surged forward, its powerful frame creating a whirlpool that threatened to engulf the two Atlantean warriors.
Thinking quickly, Haruka inserted the Strike Vent Card into the Abyssvisor attached to his left arm.
[Strike Vent]
Abyssodon's jaws opened, and a torrent of high-pressure water burst forth, slamming into Tula and Kaldur. The force of the attack sent them crashing through the water, slamming into a nearby building with a resounding thud.
"Sorry about that!" Haruka called out, though his expression betrayed his concern for the two Atlanteans. He knew he had to act quickly to rejoin Hila and the others, but he didn't want to cause unnecessary harm.
Abyssodon hovered nearby, its mechanical body poised and ready to defend Haruka if needed. The Kamen Rider took a moment to assess the situation, wondering if Tula and Kaldur were still conscious and able to pursue them.
Haruka rode Abyssodon and quickly guided the colossal creature towards a nearby reflective surface. With a nod, he directed Abyssodon to enter the shimmering portal, disappearing into the Mirror World.
More Atlantean guards arrived on the scene, their sleek vehicles surrounding the abandoned craft. They scanned the area, but Haruka and his Contract Monster were nowhere to be found. The guards exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of where the Kamen Rider had vanished to.
Tula and Kaldur recovered from the powerful blast, shaking off the disorientation. They turned to the Atlantean guards who had arrived on the scene, their expressions stern.
"Where is the Kamen Rider?" Tula demanded, her voice laced with frustration. "He must be apprehended for his attack on the Queen."
The guards exchanged uncertain glances, unsure of how to respond. "We... we do not know, my lady," one of them replied tentatively. "He seems to have vanished."
Kaldur's brow furrowed as he surveyed the abandoned craft. "Search the area thoroughly," he ordered. "He could not have gone far. We must find him before he causes any more harm."
The guards nodded and quickly dispersed, fanning out to comb the surrounding waters for any sign of the elusive Kamen Rider. Tula and Kaldur watched, their expressions grim, determined to uncover the truth behind the attack on Queen Atlanna.
Haruka watched the scene and sighed in relief before quickly guiding Abyssodon towards Hila and the others. He knew time was of the essence, and he needed to rejoin his companions as soon as possible.
