Kamen Rider in DC

Chapter 83: Chapter 82

Atlanna coughed blood into her mouth, unable to comprehend why her son, Orm, would try to kill her. She asked him with a pained expression, "Why, Orm? Why are you doing this?"

Orm's gaze hardened as he replied, "Because you stand in the way of my quest for glory in Atlantis. The time has come for a new era, one where I rule as the true Ocean Master." He raised his trident, prepared to deliver the finishing blow.

Suddenly, Haruka emerged from the Mirror World, tackling Orm and sending him crashing into the nearby wall. Haruka quickly turned his attention to Atlanna, kneeling by her side and applying pressure to the wound in her chest, trying to stem the bleeding.

"Hold on, Queen Atlanna," Haruka said, his voice laced with urgency. "I'll get you help. Just stay with me." He glanced up at Orm, who was slowly picking himself up, a murderous glint in his eyes.

Orm angrily asked, "How did you get here, Kamen Rider? Guards, seize him!"

The guards rushed in to see Queen Atlanna bleeding in Haruka's arms. Orm glared at the scene, his voice booming with authority.

"The Kamen Rider has attacked and injured the Queen! Kill him at once!"

The guards hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. Haruka looked up at them pleadingly.

"Please, you must listen. I'm trying to help the Queen. Orm is the one responsible for this," Haruka said, his voice laced with desperation.

Orm sneered, "Do not listen to his lies! Dispose of this intruder immediately!"

The guards tightened their grip on their weapons, torn between obeying their prince and the gravity of the situation before them. Atlanna coughed weakly, her eyes pleading with the guards to see the truth.

Haruka turns to Atlanna and says, "Don't worry, Queen Atlanna. I'll get you out of here."

He draws an Advent card from his Card Deck and inserts it into his Abyssvisor.

[Advent]

Two monsters emerge from the nearby mirrors. Abysslasher, a shark-themed, bipedal creature, appears first. Its sleek, angular body is covered in metallic blue and silver armor, with sharp fins protruding from its limbs. Its head resembles a saw shark, with a long, toothed snout and glowing red eyes. In its clawed hands, it wields a pair of saw-like swords, ready to slice through any foe.

Beside Abysslasher, Abysshammer materializes. This larger, more heavily armored creature has a distinct hammerhead shark-inspired design. Its body is covered in thick, black and silver plating, with a broad, angular head and a gaping maw filled with razor-sharp teeth. Abysshammer's limbs end in powerful, blunt fists, and its back is equipped with a pair of missile launchers, ready to unleash a barrage of explosive projectiles.

The two Mirror Monsters, bound to Haruka through his Contract, stand ready to defend their master and the injured Queen Atlanna. Their mere presence fills the air with a palpable sense of danger, as the guards hesitate, unsure of how to proceed against such formidable creatures.

Haruka turns to Abysslasher and Abysshammer, his voice firm. "Create an opening for me. I need to get Queen Atlanna to safety."

The two Mirror Monsters let out a deafening roar in response, their predatory eyes fixed on the guards. Abysslasher rushes forward, its serrated blades slicing through the air, while Abysshammer stomps the ground, causing the floor to tremble. The guards scramble to defend themselves, but the sheer ferocity of the Mirror Monsters overwhelms them, creating a gap for Haruka to escape.

Clutching the wounded Atlanna, Haruka dashes through the opening, his Abyss armor providing the speed and strength he needs to carry her to safety. Behind him, Orm shouts in rage, his voice echoing through the palace halls.

"Stop them! Don't let the Kamen Rider escape with my mother!"

The guards, their weapons clashing against the Mirror Monsters, are unable to pursue Haruka as he navigates the winding corridors of the Atlantean palace. Atlanna coughs weakly in his arms, her breathing labored, and Haruka quickens his pace, determined to find a way to get her the medical attention she needs.

Haruka races down the hallways, Atlanna cradled in his arms. His heart pounds with urgency as he makes his way towards the hangar bay, the only chance of escaping Atlantis with the wounded queen.

Abysslasher and Abysshammer, his loyal Contract Monsters, follow closely behind, their menacing presence a deterrent against any pursuers. Suddenly, a barrage of energy beams from the approaching guards forces Haruka to take evasive action.

"Fools," he mutters under his breath, knowing the guards' reckless attacks could harm Atlanna. Without hesitation, Abysslasher and Abysshammer position themselves in front of Haruka, their hulking bodies shielding him and the queen from the incoming fire.

Haruka quickly inserts another Advent Card into the Abyssvisor strapped to his arm.

[Strike Vent]

The Abyss Claw, a massive gauntlet resembling a shark's jaws, materializes on Haruka's right hand. With a powerful surge, he unleashes a high-pressure stream of water from the Claw, knocking the guards back and disrupting their attacks.

The Atlantean soldiers stumble and retreat, their weapons proving ineffective against the might of Haruka's Mirror Monsters. Seizing the opportunity, Haruka continues his sprint towards the hangar, Atlanna's weakening breaths spurring him onward.

As Haruka made his way to the hangar, he was suddenly stopped by a stream of water. He saw Mera and Hila obstructing his path. Mera questioned Haruka about why he had attacked Atlanna.

"Kamen Rider, what have you done to the Queen?!" Mera demanded, her voice laced with anger and suspicion.

Haruka tightened his grip on the weakening Atlanna, his voice urgent. "It wasn't me, Mera. It was Orm - he's the one who tried to kill your mother!"

Hila's eyes widened, and she glanced back and forth between Haruka and Atlanna. "Orm? But why would he do such a thing?"

"He wants the throne for himself," Haruka explained, "and he sees Atlanna and Arthur as obstacles to his ambitions." He looked pleadingly at the two women. "Please, you have to trust me. I'm only trying to get Atlanna to safety so she can receive medical attention."

Mera's brow furrowed, her hydrokinetic powers still at the ready. But then, a weak voice spoke up from Haruka's arms.

"Mera... Hila..." Atlanna rasped, her eyes barely open. "You must... trust him. He... is not our enemy."

Mera and Hila exchanged a glance, their expressions softening. Atlanna's trust in Haruka was clear, and they knew they could not ignore the Queen's words.

"Very well," Mera said, her tone still cautious but less confrontational. "We will accompany you to the hangar."

Hila nodded, her face etched with concern for her mother-in-law. "Let us hurry. Atlanna needs help."

Haruka breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that Atlanna's intervention had convinced the two Atlantean princesses to put their faith in him, at least for now. With Mera and Hila by his side, he resumed his sprint towards the hangar, his two loyal Mirror Monsters, Abysslasher and Abysshammer, still providing cover and deterring any further pursuit.

Hila eyed the two hulking creatures flanking Haruka with a mix of curiosity and caution. "What are those... things?" she asked, her gaze shifting between the shark-like beasts.

Haruka glanced at Abysslasher and Abysshammer, the Mirror Monsters bound to him through his Kamen Rider powers. "They are my Contract Monsters," he explained. "Abysslasher and Abysshammer. They are here to protect us."

Hila's brow furrowed as she took in the formidable appearance of the creatures. "Contract Monsters?" she repeated, the unfamiliar term piquing her interest. "I've never heard of such things."

"They are part of my powers you could say," Haruka clarified, his voice low and urgent. "Powerful creatures that I can summon to aid me in battle."

Mera, who had been listening intently, interjected, "Then they may prove useful in getting my mother to safety." She cast a worried glance at the unconscious Atlanna cradled in Haruka's arms.

The group hurried towards the hangar, Abysslasher and Abysshammer following close behind. As they reached the cavernous space, Hila spotted a large, sleek vehicle that resembled a hybrid of an aircraft and a sea creature.

"This will do," Hila said, her tone decisive as she approached the craft. "I can pilot this to get us away from Atlantis quickly."

Haruka carefully handed Atlanna over to Mera, who settled the queen into the vehicle's passenger compartment. Once they were all aboard, Hila took the controls, her fingers deftly navigating the unfamiliar interfaces.

As the craft lifted off, Mera turned to Haruka, her expression concerned. "Why can we not take my mother to the castle's medical facility?" she asked. "Surely she would receive better care there."

Haruka's jaw tightened. "I cannot trust that Orm would not have her assassinated while she is vulnerable," he replied, his voice laced with urgency. "We must get her to safety on the surface, where she can receive the treatment she needs without the threat of Orm's interference."

The craft surged forward, leaving the Atlantean palace behind. Hila's brow furrowed as she piloted the vehicle, her eyes constantly scanning their surroundings.

Suddenly, a barrage of energy blasts struck the craft, causing it to shudder. Haruka turned to see a group of Atlanteans in sleek, mechanical shark-like vehicles in hot pursuit.

"They're not letting us go," Hila gritted out, her hands tightening on the controls as she maneuvered the craft to evade the attacks.

Haruka glanced at Mera, who was holding Atlanna protectively. "We have to lose them," he said, his voice tinged with urgency. "Hila, can you outrun them?"

Hila's eyes narrowed with determination. "I'll do my best," she replied, her fingers flying over the controls as she pushed the craft to its limits.

The pursuit continued, the mechanical sharks closing in, their weapons poised to strike. Haruka tensed, ready to summon Abysslasher and Abysshammer to defend their escape.
