Kaiser of the New World

Father (212)

Back on the ground, a fierce battle was about to take place.

A massive four armed beast with eight demonic horns and an incredibly sharp tail shot forward at a disgusting looking abomination that was still writhing on the ground.

The beasts muscles surged as it swiped with two of its arms, aiming to rip the flesh of the Disharmonied to shreds.

However, at the next moment, it lost control of its own body.

It was like the way it's brain controlled itself had been switched. If they tried to look right, they would look left. If they tried to jump up, they would crouch down.

If they tried to attack something, they would end up attacking nothing.

The Plague Harbinger growled after they missed their target, their body coming to a halt as they turned their head to look over their shoulder.

It was like they had been shrouded in an invisible aura, one that reversed their control of their body.

"Not good..."

The beast then watched as the Disharmonied stood up in all their atrocious glory.

They rose to a staggering twelve feet tall, even taller than the beast themselves. Their skin had lost all of the colour that it once had, now looking like a creepy mixture between ice and bone.

Their limbs were incredibly lanky and wrinkly, looking like they possessed no muscle, only the beast knew that their opponent was powerful. Even before Ezekial was a somewhat tough opponent, but they weren't sure what to think now that the Sword Man had lost themselves.

After all, treading the path of Harmony was not an easy task. They always had to keep their mind, body, soul and spirit perfectly equal, otherwise they would become a Disharmonied.

And that's exactly what had happened to Ezekial.

Their fingernails had extended into ten razor sharp claws. However, rather than the appearance of them looking like a nail, it looked like bones had protruded from the tips of the abomination's fingers, giving it the appearance of claws.

Two ghastly horns had grown from the Disharmonied head, curling slightly like that of a demons.

However, none of those were the worst feature of the abomination. No, its worst feature was undoubtedly its skin.

It hung loosely over its body, like it was wearing the skin of something it had killed like a coat. All of its joints had small bits of bone sticking out of the skin, holding them in place incase it accidently fell off.

It's eye sockets were loose on the abominations face and were completetly empty, like there was nothing there. But the beast could feel something gazing at it.

The abominations lips hung below its chin, much below where its mouth should have been.

Then, it spoke.

"... Father?"

The abomination's lips did not move when it spoke.

The Plague Harbinger growled.

"Creepy bastard..."

The Disharmonied took a step forward, towards the beast. Its steps were unnatural, like it was learning to walk for the first time. It's foot was backwards, it's knee bent so wrong that the beast thought it was about to break its own bone, its other leg dragged behind it, peeling some of the weak skin along the stone beneath them.

Then, without warning, the Disharmonied threw itself at the Plague Harbinger with unimaginable speed.

Reacting quickly, the Plague Harbinger lifted its two left arms to block the attack, but its two right arms ended up coming to its aid, meaning it got swiped in its gut by the creepy abomination.

The Disharmonied did not lose any speed after landing the attack, instead, they ended up rolling across the ground, cutting its skin even more in the process.

Looking down, the beast saw shards of bone sticking out from its stomach, some blood seeping out from around them. Then, it looked back at the Disharmonied and saw that the nails on its left hand were all broken and quickly growing back.

Snarling, the beast charged at the momentarily stunned Disharmonied, only unlike last time, they had a plan.

If any move that it made would become reversed when in close proximity with the abomination, then it would just do something that couldn't possibly be reversed.

Lowering its head before it got too close, the beast roared as it stabbed the Disharmonied with the horns on its head. The abomination got impaled on the two longest horns, them being able to easily pierce the abomination's skin.

Then, attempting to lower their head, the beast ended up lifting the abomination off the ground, making their horns sink even deeper into the abomination, even managing to stab into it with another two of its horns.

The Disharmonied cried out in pain as it struggled wildly against the beast, only making its injuries even worse.

Then, it did something completetly unexpected.

It's gangly arm swung around and connected with the side of the beasts head. The strength of the blow was much more than the beast was expecting, so it got stunned for a split second before composing itself.

But then it realised that something was wrong with the Disharmonied.

Even though it had just been thrashing about on its horns, why did it feel as if the abomination's flesh was... constricting?

The next thing the beast knew, two of its horns began to throb in pain. It was like they were being crushed in a vice, about to shatter from the unbearable pressure.

Using all four arms so it was impossible to miss, the beast punched the abomination in its centre, the sound of something breaking enter its ears as it was flung away.

Grinning slightly, the beast was just about to say something when it looked at the stomach of the abomination.

Turns out, the sound of something breaking hadn't come from the bones inside the Disharmonied.

Lodged inside its stomach were two horns. The beast could only watch as its horns were sucked inside the abomination and the wounds closed up, like it had never been injured in the first place.

Then, the beast felt the pain of two of its horns being ripped off.

Growling, the beast realised the situation had gone from bad to worse.

These early stages were the most advantageous for it. The Disharmonied was like a baby learning to walk, unexperienced and clumsy. But as time went on, it would slowly get stronger and stronger.

But with that incredibly healing factor it had, the beast had to figure out a way to kill it.

The Disharmonied slowly stood up again, its limbs hanging weakly from its body.

"Where... Father?"

The beast chuckled.

"Dead. And that's a good thing, what a coward he was."

The Disharmonied's body trembled.

"No... Father not dead... Father."

Suddenly, the Disharmonied shot forward, only it didn't aim for the beast, it aimed for Castillian's corpse that was still lying lifelessly on the ground in a pool of his own blood.

"Father!"

The beast watched as the abomination grabbed the corpse by its two arms, lifting it into the air as it gleefully held it up.

"Father! Father!"

Then, it started stretching, pulling it the body in an effort to get it to wake up.

"Father!"

Castillian's flesh started to tear apart, more blood dripping down and adding to the pool below.

"Father!"

The next second, Castillian's corpse was ripped in half and the Disharmonied was bathed in a pool of their father's blood.

It held two severed arms in its hands, its gaze blankly attracted to them.

"Father..."

Its mouth still did not move when it spoke.

... Nor when it made any other sort of noise.

The Disharmonied let out a ghastly shriek as it began slamming the two severed arms into the ground, the flesh falling off them as bits of it got stuck to the cobblestone.

A few moments later, the abomination was holding two bones, one in each hand, makeshift weapons.

The beast's eyes narrowed.

The Disharmonied was learning.

Realising that it was going to be a tough fight, the beast grabbed their tail with two hands and swung it around a few times. If the abomination was going to use weapons, then why shouldn't they.

The beast threw their tail at the abomination, the limb extending abnormally as it shot forward. The tip of it pierced the abomination's shoulder and the Plague Harbinger yanked on it, pulling it forward and knocking it off balance.

Then, the tip of its tail lit up ever so slightly as it injected something into the body of the abomination. The beast wasn't sure if it would actually work because of the Disharmonied's insane healing factor, but it was worth a shot.

With no warning, the abomination actually managed to prevent itself from falling to the ground and rolled before throwing itself at the beast. It soared in the hair as the beast swiped at it with its tail again, cutting cleanly through one of its legs.

Then, the abomination fell, impaling itself on the beasts horns once more. Roaring, the beast quickly tried to get it off its horns before it managed to heal around them and rip them off again, but it was unable to.

Using its tail, the beast cut the wrist of the abomination and managed to cut it off, but it could see the horrific skin already beginning to heal and generate a new limb.

The Plague Harbinger's mood darkened. Its rats were already wreaking havoc on the city, but if it would have to call them back to deal with this-

The next moment, the Disharmonied let out a strange shriek and moved its body strangely, like it had been impaled in the back by something.

Confused, the beast watched with wide eyes as the a hole was created in the centre of the abominations chest.

Then, a red blade begin to shimmer into existence.

The Plague Harbinger was bewildered.

"What?"

Then, as soon as it had appeared, it disappeared, leaving an empty wound.

Only this time, the wound didn't begin to heal.

Gripping the body of the Disharmonied, the beast was easily able to get it off its horns this time.

Dropping it to the ground and looking down at it, the Plague Harbinger couldn't help but let out an enraged roar.

Sword Saint Ezekial, the second target of its revenge...

Was dead.

*Author Note*

Fight scenes.

It's a topic that I'm still not that confident on even though the story has been going on for over 200 chapters. To be honest, I haven't actually written that many, it's just that they always go on for multiple chapters.

Even though this is a fantasy action story with a lot of other elements included, I want to make sure the fight scenes are actually entertaining and don't drag on too long.

So there will be a poll at the end of this chapter, and I will appreciate it if you vote.

The question is just which fight scene was your favourite out of the options. I want to see what you all think so I know for the future.

Thanks in advance.
