jujutsu Kaisen: The Heavenly Restriction

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Satoru, you will regret this

Six Years Later.

"Kensei, want to go out and play?"

A boy with white hair, white eyelashes, and a pair of sky-blue eyes curiously looked at his younger twin brother, wondering what was always on his mind.

Many in the clan warned him that Gojo Kensei would hinder his future and advised him to stay away.

But Gojo Satoru had his own thoughts. He shared an extraordinary bond with this twin brother, who was identical to him in appearance.

Even though his brother couldn't use cursed energy and was bound by Heavenly Restriction, that didn't stop Satoru from caring for him as an older brother.

"Satoru, are you sure the clan leader will let you go out and play? Both of us have high bounties on the dark web."

"If we sneak out, it might cause trouble for the clan."

Kensei glanced at his reckless older brother. He was long used to Satoru's impulsive personality.

Gojo Satoru and Gojo Kensei, the two children of the Gojo family, had bounties worth a hundred million on the dark web.

The price was too tempting, attracting many foolish jujutsu sorcerers who overestimated their abilities.

For weak sorcerers, breaking through the Gojo clan's protection was a pipe dream.

As for the truly powerful elite sorcerers, they understood that the bounties were a trap. The Six Eyes were crucial to the Gojo family's future, and the clan would do everything to protect them.

Under these circumstances, no one could get close to Gojo Satoru.

Even if someone did manage to assassinate a Six Eyes wielder, the Gojo clan's retaliation would ensure they didn't live to see another day.

Thus, as Satoru and Kensei grew older, assassination attempts against them gradually decreased.

Now, with his usual reckless nature, Satoru wanted to sneak past the clan's protection and take Kensei outside for some fun.

After all, they both had the divine sight of the Six Eyes.

Yes, both of them possessed Six Eyes. While Kensei's abilities weren't as fully developed as Satoru's, he still had the fundamental 360-degree vision.

With both of them together, no one with ill intentions could escape their sight.

"Satoru, I know you've almost mastered the Limitless technique. You just want to show off, ignore the assassins, and even get close to them for fun, don't you?"

Kensei sighed helplessly.

Satoru's talent was unprecedented, but he was still just a child—immature and eager to prove himself.

Whenever he learned something new, he always wanted to test it out.

Kensei, on the other hand, was mentally an adult. He had no such desire to show off, especially if it meant putting himself in danger.

Five minutes later, Satoru grabbed Kensei and jumped over the wall.

Kensei's deadpan expression said it all.

Gojo Satoru, you bastard. Are you determined to waste your talent? You'll regret this one day.

If you keep treating me like this, I won't help you fix your mistakes in the future. I'll just let you end up getting sliced in half.

Damn it, Satoru. Carrying me like this is embarrassing. If I had cursed energy and had fully developed my Heavenly Restriction, you'd be the one powerless right now.

Kensei mentally ranted at his so-called brother.

It had been six years, and he still hadn't unlocked his Zanpakuto abilities. The so-called sword, fist, and kido functions remained inactive.

If not for the system responding to him occasionally, he would have thought it was a fake.

As his body grew stronger, the physical enhancements from Heavenly Restriction had begun to show. Yet, the Shinigami Fusion System remained useless.

If this broken system hadn't saved his life at birth, Kensei would have given up on it entirely.

He knew how the Jujutsu Kaisen world developed. With Heavenly Restriction and no cursed energy, he had the same potential as Toji Zenin, the Heavenly Tyrant.

If he dedicated himself to training, he might become a second Toji.

Who knew? Maybe in the future, he and Satoru would be equals in strength.

For now, though, the reality was clear. With the Limitless technique, Satoru completely outmatched him.

When the hell will my Zanpakuto be ready? The first thing I'll do when I get it is slice you up, Satoru.

Kensei, thrown to the ground by Satoru, glared at his twin. Meanwhile, Satoru stood elegantly while he was left sprawled on the ground.

This was completely undignified.

And so, the twin heirs of the Gojo family, two identical boys with the legendary Six Eyes, left their home, unsupervised.

"Kensei, not having cursed energy doesn't matter. I'll find a way to make you a jujutsu sorcerer. Cursed energy and techniques aren't everything. Trust me, I'm your brother."

At this age, Satoru still didn't fully understand the nature of Heavenly Restriction. Deep down, he always felt guilty about Kensei's situation.

Six Eyes users weren't normal. They were born with advanced consciousness and perfect memory.

Satoru clearly remembered what he had done to Kensei while they were in the womb.

Kensei originally had cursed energy, energy equal to Satoru's. But due to Satoru's unconscious desire for power, he had absorbed all of Kensei's cursed energy before birth, leaving his twin completely powerless.

In the jujutsu world, almost everyone had cursed energy. Someone like Kensei, born with none, was extremely rare.

Without cursed energy, he couldn't use Limitless, the Gojo clan's signature technique.

If cursed energy was like electricity, then innate techniques were like electrical appliances powered by that energy.

To put it in a way a fellow transmigrator would understand, cursed energy was like chakra in Naruto, while techniques were like jutsu. The difference was that in Jujutsu Kaisen, techniques were mostly inherited at birth rather than learned later.

Because Satoru knew that Kensei could have had a future identical to his, the guilt never left him.

That was why, despite the clan elders urging him to stay away from Kensei, he refused to listen.

"Satoru, don't dwell on it. Not having cursed energy isn't a bad thing."

Kensei smiled slightly.

In truth, he was glad Satoru had absorbed his cursed energy.

Without that event, he wouldn't have gained Heavenly Restriction.

If things had gone differently, they might have ended up like Maki and Mai, two siblings whose potential was shackled by their circumstances.

Now, however, their physical and mental abilities could develop to the absolute limit.
