Journey To Eden

"Let the duel begin." said mother Pinky. 

The gong was struck and the Ezra and Lilah stood opposite each other motionlessly. Ezra then drew his sword.

"Hey, Lilah. Are you ready?" he asked.

"Just know that I won't take it easy on you. Just because we fought together doesn't mean that I'm obligated to spare you." Lilah replied.

"I guess you are but just know this Lilah, I also won't take it easy on you and I won't stop until I win or die." 

The atmosphere became tense as everything seemed to slow down.

Ezra with his drawn sword charged at Lilah. He was fast but not fast enough for Lilah's spikes that shot at him as he cut down each one closing the gap between them. Once he got close enough, he swung his sword at Lilah. She dodged the blade but it grazed her arm making her bleed. 

She then touched the ground and spikes shot at Ezra that he dodged gracefully. Lilah then formed a circle with her hands that she pointed at Ezra and a large spike shot from it that he couldn't dodge in time. He blocked the spike with his sword but the spike was hard enough to shatter his blade before cutting his right side. 

Ezra winced in pain as he held his side that was pouring of blood.

"I can't stop." He said before holding his sword, with his blood hand, like a dagger. 

He then ran to Lilah dodging he spikes in the process. When he was close to her, she then shot a spike at him that he hit with his sword pushing it back at her, stabbing her left arm. He then jumped into the air and kicked the back of her head, sending her flying before she held herself up using her fingers that she had hardened with an exoskeleton.

Ezra then dashed to her and before she could begin another attack, he began hitting her with a sequence of slaps, hits with his sword hilt and chops. She then touched his chest and Ezra quickly withdrew backwards.

"That was smart. Could have killed you there." she said as blood flowed from her mouth and nose.

"But I can't accept a lose. Not now." She then joined her hands together and yelled.

Bond: Mrs. Puff

Just then, a large pufferfish swam above her before bonding with her creating exoskeleton armor and a crown of spikes. 

"Time to end this." she said.

Ezra braced for an attack. The ground then began to shake as a wave of water flowed into the colosseum flooding the entire colosseum. The water then began to drain and and flow into Lilah's hands.

She then cupped her hands into a circle. Ezra saw this and prepared to dodge. 

Water Shot: Poseidon.

Just then a large spray of water headed for Ezra so fast that he couldn't dodge it in time sending him flying into a wall, knocking him unconscious.

"Is he moving?" asked mother Pinky. 

"No, he's unconscious but he's alive." answered one of the spectators.

The battle ended after 9 minutes with Lilah's victory, giving her 300 total points.

The rest of the fights took place and they ended with a draw between Alba and Eki, and a victory for Nova against Koko, also winning him 300 total points.

 Test two came to an end with 27 candidates advancing to Test three. The other 53 candidates were disqualified and sent home. Those included Trazer and Lucas since they were too unconscious to compete in the last round and therefore they were sent home.

The candidates that had qualified were led to the Junior's Hostel were they met mother Anastasia.

"Greetings students. First of all, I would like to congratulate you for joining Aizen College. If it isn't obvious already, you guys are now students of Aizen College." mother Anastasia said.

"Then what is Test three about?" asked Lilah. 

"Oh yeah. Test three isn't really an exam test but more of an examination of your soul animals. It is to help us know how your soul animal behaves to see what kind of jobs you can take on." said mother Anastasia.

"Although the test isn't immediately since a lot of you have used your soul animals in bonding and that takes energy which may be a little bit difficult to generate right now." 

"So you are all going to rest for three days and feel free around the school. Afterall you are students here."

The candidates were then led by some older students to their hostels. Nova and Lilah didn't follow the rest of the crowd and instead asked to go to the medic center. An older student led them to their desired area which was a large hospital behind the hostels.

In the medic center, Ezra, who was unconscious, suddenly sprang wake and sat on his bed. 

"Huh, where am I?" he asked, looking around till his eyes landed on a young woman about his age with black silky long hair.

He stared at her until she also looked at him and their brown eyes locked. They stared at each other briefly before Ezra turned away in embarrassment.

"Sorry about that. Didn't mean to stare for so long." Ezra apologized, scratching the back of his neck.

"It's quite okay. We are in the medic center." the young woman said.

"What?" Ezra asked. 

"Oh yeah it was to you're earlier question." said the young woman clumsily.

"Oh! Thanks. Looks like I did lose." Ezra said, clenching his fist in frustration.

"Anyway. I'm Ezra Jameson, you?" Ezra asked.

"I'm Tina. Tina Arkwright, wolf user." Tina replied.

"You answered so formally. Are you like some kind of royal?" Ezra asked. 

"Yes, I actually am. And it was you who introduced so informally. That is the proper way of introducing yourself." Tina said. 

Ezra looked at her in shock before bursting out into laughter. "Is that so? My apologies but there is nothing royal about you." 

" What's that supposed to mean?" 

Ezra burst out laughing when Nova and Lilah walked in to visit him. The two introduced themselves to Tina. Lilah then realized that Tina is the girl that she took out first. The four then began conversing talking about a number of things they experienced during the test. That night a friendship was created.

Three days passed and it was finally time for the third and final test. The students all gathered in the colosseum that was now empty. Many of them were worried that they were going to fight each other since most of them had become friends. 

"Greetings students, welcome back to the colosseum. First, you are not going to fight each other, so calm down. Second, this test is a scavenger hunt." said mother Anastasia.

"For a woman that created that huge bear in test one, I expected her to be a meaner." whispered Ezra to Nova. 

"Right. I'm so disappointed." Nova said in agreement and disappointment. 

"I'm surprised that they are surprised." said Tina.

"Don't mind them. They are idiots." said Lilah as she faced mother Anastasia.

"In this test, you will be required to find three items using your soul animals strictly. How you do that is up to you." 

The students looked at mother Anastasia, with smiles on their faces. This was an easy test for them. 

"I see that you are all happy. The items you are to look for are gold eggs that have the school crest on them but they are scattered around the island and you have until the end of the day to find them and bring them back." 

"In short it's like looking for three needles in large hay stake. Without any farther ado, let's get test three started."

The students dashed off in separate directions each looking for the eggs in different places around the island. Some looked in the sea, some looked in the sky and some looked around the school and others in some areas outside of the school.

They used different methods to look for the eggs that related to their soul animal. Everyone was using their soul animal instincts to find the gold eggs , everyone except Ezra who was using basic human knowledge to find the eggs but that deemed difficult if not impossible.

He searched high and low but failed to find any thing in the school so he decided to take his search into the forest where he found one egg that was buried in the ground. 

Finally after two long hours of searching, he found his first. He kept the egg safely but as he was looking around the forest, he heard female voice call out for help.

He immediately dropped his search and decided to go to the source of the cries for help until he reached an area of the forest that was destroyed. He looked around as the voice continued calling out for help. 

He reached the source of the cries and in front of him he saw a dead body of a man that looked like he had spent sometime dead since his body was extremely pale and and almost dry. He then called out to the voice that was cry for help.

He then followed the voice circling the dead body until he saw what was crying for help.

"Is that an eagle?"
