Journey To Eden

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: A Maddening Rage

Poseidon: Water Trident

Lilah jumped into the air as Ezra watched her with a completely dead expression, a giant spike fixed into his shoulder.

Lilah reached some point in the air and began to float as a large mass of water surrounded her before forming a giant ball of water that covered the sky above the town.

The town people looked at the sky and an unnerving sense of sadness began to set in like they were about to lose something dear to them.

Ezra looked at the sky and he's eyes widened from horror. He quickly cut the large spike and freed himself but there was still a spike lodged into his left shoulder.

"Ezra, you're finally going to learn. I don't value anyone or anything in this town. I'm glad I left this place with all those disgusting weaklings." Lilah said with a wide grin drawn on her face.

She then pointed her bow at the ground and made three spikes that she shot at the ground. The arrows stuck into the ground but they didn't do anything.

Suddenly, the sound of slushing filled the air as the water above began move around slowly compressing into water looked like a three large water spikes that shot to the ground at a terrifying speed.

"Everyone hold onto something." Koko yelled. He sensed trouble and indeed his intuition was right for as soon as the water spikes hit the ground, they released a devastating flood of steaming water that destroyed everything and tore the town apart.

The flood hit at a terrible force that it released a shockwave that tore the trees around the town apart.

In the end, all that was left was rubble.

Ezra had been covered by some rubble that both injured him and saved him. He emerged from the rubble bleeding through out his body. He looked around and saw that all the large buildings he used to admire were all gone.

He looked below at where he was standing and saw a dead bird. He stared at it without a single expression. From his standing, he could see nearly everything. It was like the city had been flattened.

He stared at Lilah slowly descend to the ground with that wide grin on her face. His heart began to beat vigorously.

"Ezra," the eagle said, worried.

"Hey, eagle." Ezra said.

"What's the matter, Ezra?" the eagle asked even though it had access to his thoughts, it still asked to hear him say it.

"Increase power."

"Your body won't handle."

"Hey what are blabbering about?" Lilah interrupted. "Finally lost it?"

Ezra looked at her enraged. His heart was aching to do something. He took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes.

"How do you feel?" Ezra asked.

"Huh?" Lilah was confused.

"How do you feel destroying your home? How do you feel not having a place to go? How do you feel not having a person that cares for you? The old man loved you and wanted to be there for you. He gave you something that meant a lot to him and you crushed it. What's wrong with you?"

Lilah looked around at the rubble and sternly said, "I feel great."

"All these things, these people were just distractions that kept me away from my lover. There is only one person I care about and it sure as hell isn't that old man. As long as I have his love, I can go on with the world. I can call everywhere my home. My home is with my glorious king, Levi." Lilah said, looking at the sky with one image in her mind.

Ezra's eyes began to water as he looked at the ground. He lifted his sword and sliced his left palm making it bleed heavily.

"This is not a good idea, Ezra." the eagle said.

"Do you want the blood or not?" Ezra said sobbingly.

The eagle's head formed on the hilt and Ezra let the blood drop into the eagle's mouth. Lilah watched Ezra's actions closely.

After about a minute of drinking, Ezra felt his heart begin to ache again, tears rolled down his eyes as he gritted his teeth angrily.

He held his sword tightly and looked at Lilah.

Bond: 555

A gust of wind blew around Ezra as his armor repaired and became white the gold outlines. His Jingasa became black and his sword turned from silver to completely black. It was like looking at a new person. An angel and devil.

"Another bonding? What is going on?" Lilah said in shock. "I have to end this."

She cupped her hands and shot a large spike in Ezra's direction that he dodged easily.

"I have to get closer." Ezra said to himself before dashing for Lilah.

His speed had greatly improved making it somewhat difficult for Lilah to track him. All she could see was a blur of a moving person.

She continued to create large spikes that Ezra continued to dodge. As she was focusing on him, she didn't notice the numerous debris flying towards her.

The debris landed and buried her but her armor protected her.

She shot the debris away and looked around for Ezra. She looked everywhere she could see and didn't find him. Fortunately, she sensed a soul animal above her and behold, it was Ezra with a drawn sword aimed for her head.

"No you won't." She yelled before erecting a ginormous spike into the air that he blocked with his sword.

He then cut the spike in half like a buzz saw and finally closed the distance between them and immediately began releasing a flurry of slashes. At a glance you'd think he wasn't poisoned and that's what Lilah was asking herself as Ezra began to cut into her armor actually making her bleed.

At this moment she began to remember the attacks he delivered to her in the second test. She didn't like the feeling of getting defeated though she had a tramp card.

She looked at Ezra's eyes and saw tears rolling down his face as he delivered his attacks but his face looked angry.

She closed her eyes and touched Ezra's chest with her right hand.

"Goodbye, sparring partner." she whispered.

Ezra's eyes widened as he saw her hand on his chest just like she did during their duel before it was called off.

Mrs. Puff: Orchard Hands

Ezra immediately kicked her to the side the moment she said those words making her fly and crush into rubble before she touched the ground and spikes burst out of the ground throughout the city.

She looked at Ezra in horror, her face turned from a grin to a wrinkled expression of fear. She could feel that he wasn't holding back. She could feel his bloodlust. At that moment she knew why they wanted Ezra dead.

She immediately jumped into the air and got on top of a ball of water that began flying her away. But as she was leaving, she saw Ezra jumped and kick her off of the ball and onto the ground.

"I'm not going to let you leave this place. Not until you've paid for all that you've said to that old and apologizing to him for destroying the necklace." Ezra said. His voice sounded angry but he was crying.

"Like hell. I'm apologizing to a dead old man." Lilah said and immediately felt a kick to her gut from Ezra.

"This fool is actually going to kill me. I refuse to allow that. I refuse."

Lilah held Ezra's leg tightly and looked at him with a smile on her face.

Mr. Puff: Defense Region.

Suddenly spikes appeared through Ezra's leg and throughout the city allowing Lilah to escape into the air.

She flew for sometime on her ball of water cursing Ezra along the way until she reached a small village filled with happy villagers. She stopped and looked at the village. Then an evil grin curved on her face.

"Isn't this the village of William's?" she asked as she began to laugh out loud getting the villager's attention.

"Hey Trazer, what's happening?" Bailey asked.

"That's a girl from the college." Trazer said. "What is she doing?"

"That means that Ezra is here too." Carl said, happily.

Lilah was still in the air laughing, not paying attention to the people staring at her. She looked at the village like a mad person.

"If I can't kill him now, I'll have to break him." Lilah said as she rose up her hands in a making what looked like she was addressing something big.

"People of William's. You are blessed today to die for the sake of the world. You are to be sentenced to death for giving birth to Ezra Jameson."

"What did she say?" Brook asked, confused like everyone else.

"Everyone, get inside. I have a bad feeling about this." Trazer said as he pushed Bailey, Brook, Carl and Mary inside the house.

Mr. Puff: Undersea Judgement.

The sky fell into a darkness like a storm was on the way. Everyone looked at the sky above Lilah and saw spikes.

So many spikes

"This is for you my glorious king, Levi." Lilah said in utter bliss as the spike shot down to the villagers and she took in the screams like soothing song.

Ezra, on the other hand, looked around for Lilah but couldn't see her. Koko flew over to him with Tina, Delilah and Alba and held his shoulder

"She went to William's" Koko said to him pointing in the direction of Ezra's home village.

Ezra's eyes immediately widened and he quickly made his way for his village. The others followed him behind with concerned looks on their faces.

He tried to rid his head of all the terrible thoughts that flooded it but when he reached the village, he was met by a sight that belonged in a horror movie than real life.

He avoided everyone else and headed for his family home.

The moment he reached it, his sword dropped to the ground and his knees gave in.

The house he used to call home was destroyed.
