Chapter 121: A New One Every Night, It’ll Take A Week To Get Through Them

At the Lin residence.

Lin Wencheng and his wife, along with Wen Qinlin and others, were sitting together in the living room. Li Zhuxuan watched with great vigilance as Chen Qingyan calmly sipped her tea.

Li Zhuxuan had a vivid impression of this woman-after all, it was because of her that Lin Fengmian had been captivated and insisted on leaving home to seek immortality.

Now, after much trouble, Lin Fengmian had returned. However, this woman had followed him back and claimed that she wanted to take him away again.

How could Li Zhuxuan agree to such a thing? She immediately rejected the idea.

However, Chen Qingyan didn’t push the issue and simply said that she would respect Lin Fengmian’s wishes.

Only then did Li Zhuxuan relax a bit, although she was still puzzled as to where her son had disappeared to.

The group sat in the hall, sipping tea while waiting for Lin Fengmian to return, the atmosphere thick with subtle tension.

Next to Chen Qingyan, Xia Yunxi sat with a troubled expression, clearly holding something back, but unsure if she should interrupt.

Meanwhile, Li Zhuxuan engaged Chen Qingyan in casual conversation, dropping hints here and there, but Chen Qingyan skillfully deflected each one with grace and composure.

Wen Qinlin and Zhou Xiaoping scrutinized Chen Qingyan, impressed by her calm demeanor. They couldn’t help but feel a touch of admiration.

Even though they knew that she was from the Joyful Union Sect, it was hard to associate her with such an infamous sect based on her appearance alone.

Zhou Xiaoping couldn’t help but whisper, “Senior Sister, are all the women from the Joyful Union Sect so beautiful? No wonder the men who go there never want to leave.”

“Who knows? You’d better ask Lin Fengmian,” Wen Qinlin replied helplessly.

“So what should we do?” Zhou Xiaoping asked.

“Wait and see. We’ll talk when Lin Fengmian returns,” Wen Qinlin replied calmly.

“I bet that lecher is obsessed with those beauties. That’s why he’s been gone all day,” Zhou Xiaoping said, hitting the nail on the head.

Her words were so to the point that Wen Qinlin had no rebuttal.

Could it be that Lin Fengmian really ditched Xia Yunxi for those charming women from the Joyful Union Clan?

As night fell, Lin Fengmian finally returned, flanked by three stunning beauties, each with their own charm.

Each of the three women was stunning in her own way, but the one clinging to Lin Fengmian’s arm stood out the most.

Not only was she on par with Chen Qingyan in terms of looks, but her gaze was also full of seductive allure, and every gesture she made enticed and captivated those around her. It was hard to look away.

Li Zhuxuan could only think of one word: disaster for the nation and its people.

She was undoubtedly a femme fatale – a seductress through and through.

Zhou Xiaoping was visibly disheartened, muttering in frustration, “Does the Joyful Union Sect only recruit based on looks? How else could they find so many tall, curvy, and stunning women?”

Wen Qinlin nodded in agreement, and with a glance at Zhou Xiaoping’s modest figure, delivered a merciless jab.

“They’re probably looking for ‘development potential’ as well. Little Ping, it looks like you won’t make it into the Joyful Union Sect.”

Zhou Xiaoping stomped her foot in despair and whimpered, “Senior Sister! I just haven’t grown up yet, okay? It’s not that I have nothing!”

Her senior sister had clearly been corrupted by Lin Fengmian’s bad habits.

Caught between the three beauties, Lin Fengmian gave an awkward smile as he looked at his parents, whose expressions were as dark as a stormy night.

“Father, Mother, I’m back,” he said shyly.

Li Zhuxuan nodded blankly. “It’s good that you’re back. Why don’t you introduce us to your guests?”

Lin Fengmian hastily started the introductions. “Father, Mother, these are some of my senior sisters – Liu Mei, Chen Qingyan, Wang Yanran, and Mo Ruyu.”

“These ladies heard that there was a demon causing trouble here, and since we are short on manpower, they came to lend a hand. They’ll probably stay in the house for a while,” Lin Fengmian explained.

Lin Wencheng stood up with a smile on his face. “You are all truly righteous. On behalf of the people of Ning City, I thank you.”

Liu Mei released Lin Fengmian’s arm and offered a graceful smile. “You are too kind, Master Lin. Whatever concerns my junior brother is also our concern.”

Mo Ruyu, ever cheerful, chimed in. “That’s right! Junior Brother has helped us a lot – this is just a small favor in return.”

Fearing that they might linger too long with his parents, Lin Fengmian quickly intervened and forced a smile. “Father, Mother, my senior sisters must be tired from traveling. I’ll take them to rest now.”

As he practically pushed Liu Mei out of the room in a hurry, Li Zhuxuan couldn’t help but feel both amused and annoyed.

After they left, Lin Wencheng remarked, “It’s been a long time since our house has been this lively.  “

Li Zhuxuan rolled her eyes. “So lively that we might run out of room. Your son is bringing home so many women, he’ll soon have a harem of three thousand beauties!”

Lin Wencheng sighed and rubbed his temples. “How many are there now? Six?”

“Six?” Li Zhuxuan sneered. “You underestimate him. There are seven!”

She cast a sideways glance at Wen Qinlin and added in a low voice, “And I wouldn’t be surprised if this Wen Qinlin turns out to be a woman as well.”

Lin Wencheng was stunned. “Where did the seventh come from?”

Li Zhuxuan gave him a sharp look. “Your son managed to kidnap a widow from the Zhu family in broad daylight!”

“She’s currently holed up in his room. At the rate he’s going – one girl a night – he’ll be busy for a whole week. Our son has really outdone himself this time.”

Lin Wencheng shot to his feet, his face a mixture of disbelief and anger. “That little brat kidnapped the Zhu family widow in front of everyone?”

Fuming, he stormed towards the backyard. “That disgraceful son of mine! I’ll break his legs!”

“If you’re going to do something like that, at least do it under the cover of night! How can he kidnap a woman in broad daylight? He’s losing all sense of decency!”

Although Li Zhuxuan found something wrong with the whole situation, she quickly pulled him back. “What’s done is done. Don’t stir things up right now – give it some time.”

Frustrated, Lin Wencheng threw up his hands. “Why didn’t you tell me about this before?”

“How could I? You’re always running off somewhere, flirting with flowers. Where would I find you?”

Li Zhuxuan’s almond-shaped eyes glittered with anger as she glared at him.

Lin Wencheng immediately shrank back with a shy smile. “I swear it wasn’t me! I was just in the study… going through our family records.”

Li Zhuxuan raised her eyebrows. “For what?”

Lin Wencheng sighed. “Fengmian asked me to look into an old saying, so I checked the family archives to see if there was any mention of it.”

Li Zhuxuan rolled her eyes. “Serves you right. That’s what you get for forgetting something important.”

In the Lin family’s backyard, Lin Fengmian led Liu Mei and the others to the empty guest rooms.

When the household servants, including Little Butterfly, saw him return with more beautiful women, they were stunned.

How come the young master keeps coming back with such heavenly beauties?

Little Butterfly’s eyes widened even more when she recognized Chen Qingyan.

Isn’t she the young master’s old flame?

Ignoring the gawking servants, Lin Fengmian suddenly remembered something in the middle of his step. He slapped his forehead and turned to Liu Mei and the others.

“Senior Sisters, I need your help with something,” he said.

Liu Mei casually ran her fingers through her long hair and smiled mischievously. “What kind of help? Don’t tell me, you want us to help you… relieve some stress?”

Upon hearing this, Mo Ruyu immediately raised her hand with enthusiasm. “Me! Me! I’ll help you!”

Lin Fengmian was speechless.

Why does everything with them come back to this?

Zhou Xiaoping’s face turned bright red. She muttered under her breath, “Shameless!”

Mo Ruyu pouted. “How is that shameless? Is doing this really such a big deal? How do you think you got here?”

Zhou Xiaoping had no answer.

Lin Fengmian quickly tried to smooth things over. “That’s not what I meant.”

“I need you to keep an eye on someone. Don’t alert her – just watch her quietly and see if she acts suspiciously.”

Liu Mei tilted her head inquisitively. “Who do you want us to watch?”

Lin Fengmian’s expression became serious. “Zhao Yazhi.”
