John Snow is A Girl

Chapter 47: Mana Heart

The heat and intense waves of power hit her entire body from the heart as the main source. A while ago Olivia succeeded in refining another dragon's essence blood.

As a human, the beast blood will strengthen her body and blood making it superior to what it was before. This in turn will allow her easier access to magic and ample mana reserves.

However because her dragons are no longer normal beasts especially after she gave them her elixirs, a new feature emerged after refining the blood. Her heart started to mutate and even though the process knocked her out which she is thankful for, she was conscious for half the process and she was in severe pain.

She could feel her veins swell and expand, unlike the spiritual power from the last life her magic is in the blood. The blood veins went through a transformation then it was her heart that was to upgrade but by that time she was beyond capacity of tolerance. Her blood came out in a burst of veins and the pain that resulted from this almost took her life.

When she woke up two days had already gone by and her children didn't dare touch her. Her body felt lighter, and sturdier at the same time. This heart is an added benefit to refining mutated dragon blood. She can see her magic and the magic around her, Aeryn calls it Mana.

It is the multi color she normally sees around magical herbs. The heart allows her to constantly draw in mana into her body, refine it and store it in her heart and blood. She can now actively increase her magic as long as her heart can take it unlike before when she would just improve her body and wait.

Currently she is surrounded by mana with fire properties in the Red wasteland. That day after exhausting her magic, the dragons took her here to try and increase her power. Olivia woke up and immediately began trying to get used to her new body.

She is a few inches taller which has made her waist thinner and longer, her high bosom pronounced and the round buttocks obvious. Olivia is strong she can feel tremendous power in her slender long arms.

She decided to train with a sword similar to the sword she used in her past life. This weapon is a magic sword made with great effort and the use of the ancient relic in her soul. The artifact forging formula allowed her to make the sword and crown given to her half brother. And her long knives with a fire gem stone.

The sword is amagic sword that is heavier than a carriage but with magic, it can turn into a thin bangke around her slender wrist. She just needs to wave her hand and it will materialize in her hand.

She is practicing sword technique because Olivia realized her own incompetence when it comes to skill against the whites. She needs to get better if she is to win against their king, whom she can only assume is better than those she has encountered so far.

Her new sword reminds her of her last life practicing in the mountains under the guise of collecting herbs just so she can avoid clashing with her band of arrogant juniors in the practice grounds.

Her technique is special because not more than two people had mastered the third stage in the previous 400 years the sect existed.

The reason is simple, it relied heavily on strength which is not fancy enough for the other disciples who seek flair and sophistication. In fact, it seems to favor long swords which is not famous amongst handsome heroes and elegant beauties of the Eternal Han world.

Olivia doesn't think this technique requires a long sword but she decided it requires whatever sword the wielder considers to be the one that brings out their strongest technique which in her personal opinion is a heavy sword. She can execute her most powerful move every time she swings her sword.

Her sword has a regular length but the body is made from condensed iron making it as heavy as a thousand regular swords. Thanks to the dragon's blood, she now has her power concentrated in her bones, muscles, tendons and blood. She will have her strength as a fall to when she exhaust her magic.

The heavy sword will not be a hindrance to her in this life like it was in her last life. Instead it will help her harness her strength and use it precise like it was always meant to be. As her movements became sharper and faster, she is delighted to know that her choice was right to make a heavy blade.

The more she practice the more refined and graceful her steps became but she also became tired since she hasn't done these steps and attack postures together in a lifetime.

"Mother is so graceful and heavy but you move swift as lightning." Morpheus praised her mother endlessly.

The two are watching their mother and watching over her at the same time. When they saw her fall unconscious at that time they realized how much their emotional stability depended on her. The red lands was very busy these days with many new people being shipped over from the true north.

Those too young or too old to fight are sent to the red castle in the red lands to wait out the war and build a city here that will function in spite of the environmental challenges just like the one in the North. 20 thousand soldiers are allocated to watch over the place.

The single castle is large enough to house 12 thousand people comfortably, they are in the process of building a residential structure a long distance from it but within the black wall that Olivia and her dragons built.

Before departure, Olivia felt sentimental about her old life and decided to construct a structure to reminisce of the days when she woke up to only look up at the main sect hall located in the grand castle made in ancient Han people style also referred to as Japanese style.

She decided to change something and the turn the lower part of the castle into a large residential building with three floors and then make its roof flat enough to make the grand castle with many floors but leave enough space for the soldiers to train and her dragons to land if they so desire.

The inside of the first floor has a simple blue print with medium sized rooms for the new solders but Because of the abundance of land and her power being upgraded to a level where casting a simple earth spell has become second nature.

She made rooms with enough space to place teo bunk beds, a clothing wardrobe and a change room for each person. There is a joint bathrooms after every ten rooms with ten showers and five flushing toilets.

Instead of making a single floor she made three. The use of high level earth spell made the new walls very smooth as if marble walls. The color is a glistering shinny red color similar to emeralds. Olivia is in complete awe when she saw this outcome. She has never thought her magic would turn simple soil into something so breath taking.

Each floor has a kitchen, a relaxing area and a hall.

In her haste to make a place of residence for those currently sleeping in tents outside she did not gather enough materials for cold stone. As a result this three story massive structure with a flat roof is very hot on the side rooms and the roof top.

However, Olivia has faith in her people, they will find a way to insert cold stone even if it is indide the room.

The subsequent floors of the castle is completed with relative ease the roof made with obsidian wood from the forest she and the dragons went to collect and she shaped using her powers.

There are six more floors and Olivia is against using the traditional wooden structure because this place is very hot so fires will spread easily.

While the war between life and death rages on in the North, this place will be a city on its own slowly but surely.

The fleet is being used to transport supplies because the red castle has the same underground glass gardens to plant food as the castles in the North but the crops have only just been planted and Olivia is not using her plant magic to grow them because it messes with the taste.

There is enough food till the crops mature so there is no need to hurry. After Isolating the fire magic that was burning the lands Olivia decided to grow many trees and a beautiful lake in the middle of each forest with many fishes from the three rivers.

Within the black walls there are a total of four large forests surrounded by simple walls to grow animals such as rabbits, boars and fishes in the lakes.

The animals reared in these four forest will be the sustenance the people will use for the time being. The place is cool enough they have cooling stone to make it cooler if the need arise.

Knowing her people are taken care of Olivia went to check the family she meant to save from Yunkai at that time. Having changed to a pretty looking set of pants with a small waistline and tight ankles but loose body making her feel cool in this hot weather.

After dropping behind the tent as usual, she knew the men would surround her again so she ran inside the tent. As soon as she entered, a sword pointed at her neck.

"Darling, we should stop meeting like this. This is how rumors start." Olivia smiled at Sir Barristan.

"Cousin, I have missed you. Tell him to stop pointing his toy at me before I break it too." She said making Daenerys nod to Sir Barristan.

"So, how goes conquering?" She skips and seats next to Dany.

"You took your sweet time coming back." The queen said in annoyance.

"Sorry, I had to take care of something, you have your monsters to slay and I have mine. Did you manage to get my guests out safely?"

"I lost a good man protecting a 'monster' as you call him. They are in that tent how are you going to transport that large group by yourself like this?" She asked tilting her head.

"A ship will find you on the way and take them out of your hair." She got out and went to the mentioned tent.

The tent is almost full to capacity. Olivia ignored everyone and walked towards a young man. For a rich merchant's son, his outfit doesn't stand out. Seated on a haystack with his head down, Olivia saw the distinct color of his brunette curls as if they are regularly steamed like those of the ladies in councilmen.

He is wearing a low quality shirt that she had seen in the dream. Olivia can smell the bathing soap on him even though he has made himself look dirty. only his pants look to be made from high processed linen material, probably to protect his thighs from getting rash.

The shoes are sandals but they look cheap. This boy has a steady temperament because she has been standing here for a while but he hasn't given in to the curiosity and looked up.

"What is your name?" She asked in high Valyrian.

He lifted up his face and their eyes met. Those eyes are like a lake with a seemingly peaceful surface.

"It's okay I just want to talk. Outside?" She asked and the boy agreed after looking at his father. He looks to be her age, maybe a year younger or a year older. When they got outside the boy spoke immediately.

"My name is Aderio Pere." He said maintaining a polite level of eye contact.

"What would you say is special about you?" Olivia asked looking at him up and down like a hooligan.

"I am not special." The boy answered calmly.

"That's unfortunate, it would mean I have wasted my efforts on you." The amiable expression on her face disappeared. The boy didn't say anything but Olivia saw the unease in his eyes.

"I am a researcher currently I am working on a project that is very expensive but also promising." The young man said, although he is selling his project he doesn't seem desperate.

"Tell me about your research." Olivia's expression soften a bit and she asked more questions about it.

"I call it 'energy' it will revolutionize the way of life." By now the young man has understood that the reason his family is safely out of the city is because of this woman who has interest in his research. He started explaining his science pursuit and in the end managed to convince Olivia to allow his family a place in the red castle.

After giving Daenerys her payment, Olivia decided to fly home and check up on things.

.....

Olivia decided to check on Robb the last time she saw him was when the whites attacked their group.

She is surprised to find the castle filled to the brim with people from different houses. Because of her attire people doubted her sanity. The men at the gate let her through because there is only one white haired lady in the North and from what they heard she saved everyone recently.

This place hasn't changed much, there are children running after each other in the snow, men training in the east and farmers behind the castle. Olivia still doesn't feel like this place is her home. Everywhere she looks there is a painful memory. She doesn't know how she found herself in the roof watching the bustling scene below.

"I knew you would be here." A throaty voice sounded from behind her. Turning around she found her half brother watching her strangely.

"You always found me here back then. It feels weird. I miss him so much." She turned back around not wanting him to see her weakness.

"I miss him too." He ighed sadly.

"Did it help? Cutting off Jeffreys head?" She asked him knowing the answer.

"I thought it would, but I cut his head clean from his neck and it didn't bring me any relief. No happiness it just felt hallow. What are you wearing?" He draped his heavy fur coat on her shoulders making her smile.

"Remember when I threw water to the people below but it froze in the air and stabbed a stable boy down below?" She winced at the memory.

"That was my first time seeing so much blood." He admitted.

"Hehehe... you puked all that day's breakfast. Haha..." Olivia laughed at his darkening expression.

"You used to play with me all the time but everything changed after the Iron Born rebellion." Robb said sadly.

"I almost died that time. But that would have still been mercy compared to what your mother and her friends had in store for me." Olivia said gloomily but missed the sad expression on her brothers eyes.

"That is why you didn't find peace in Jeffrey's death. It was merciful, he didn't suffer." She said suddenly.

"Do you want mother to suffer?" His brows wrinkled.

"If I considered her competent I would. But when I was ten I realized your mother is not the problem. Father was to blame for my suffering."

Robb looked confused but Olivia didn't explain. "I don't hold any grudge against your mother Robb. I won't go out of my way to make her happy and I enjoy watching her frown but she is not worth it. So you can relax about it."

Silence took over as they stood there watching the people below. "I can see your toes." Robb suddenly said earning a giggle from Olivia.

"Pretty toes no?" She lifted her foot showing them nicely.

"Are toes pretty? Toes are toes." Robb said Olivia rolled her eyes thinking he is lucky he has tittle or no woman would like him.

"I thought I might find you two here." Caitlyn came up looking worried.

"What's wrong?" Robb asked meeting his mother.

"I thought you will fight because she took Talisa away at that time. Are you two okay?"

"Ow dear, are you worried your brute of a son will bash my skull in? He forgot all about his anger once he saw me cold from lack of clothes. He is soft." Olivia went pass the woman in amusement.

Robb being reminded of what Olivia had done growled and ran after her while she ran away with a laugh.

"Stand right there and answer for your crimes." Robb shouted

"Haha..." Olivia ran away even faster.

"Olivia!"

They ran like kids in the castle hallways others watching in laughter. Just like a kill joy, Bran stood in front of Olivia with a serious look on his face. "We don't have time for this, the army march south form deep with in the land of winter, this time the king himself comes with it." The playful mood just disappeared in an instant.

"We need to talk." Robb entered the hall but Olivia became gloomy. Bran grabbed her arm when she was going to sneak away.

"You need to be present." Bran said making Olivia shrug and enter the hall. The moment they entered Olivia winced at the assault on her senses, now that she has upgraded her physique she can smell almost all the odors in this room.

She sat at the main table with memories of her childhood. "Where is the Iron born?" The table became silent and the people near the main table stopped moving.

"We don't speak of him." Sansa said gloomily.

"Oh? I see. Lets finish so I can be on my way. This place is changing my good mood." She frowned.

"It will take the army a few months to reach your home, a little more to get here. Do we have a plan? I noticed the Wildlings are camping outside your city?" Bran said to Olivia.

"And what are my guards doing about that?" Olivia frowned in displeasure.

"Two days ago a small team of whites made it to their camp and many died. To survive they fled to the Haunted forest, after entering the forest some of the fast white walkers followed them in but..."

"The forest killed them. For good this time." Olivia finished for him. It seems the Wildlings will never leave that forest from now on. She slides down into her chair.

"The forest killed them?" Robb asked, it is not just him who is curious everyone is now listening with full attention.

"I sort of spelled the place to ward off unclean magic. I just never imagined the first to be protected by it would not be my own people."

"That may be inaccurate. The wildlings are going to submit to you and become part of your city from now on. Which means you have the biggest army in Westeros. We need you in this fight Olivia." Bran said seriously.

Olivia gave Bran a serious look, with a lecturing tone she said "Listening to people while they are having a private conversation is rude Bran. You need to know this is wrong." Her nonchalance annoyed everyone in the room.

She just found out that her army is about to be twice as large and this is the response?

"We are coming North to fight the dead army we can not be entangled with the wildlings." Lord Umber is the first to object working with the wildlings.

"Those fuckers will slow us down."

"I can't be fighting for my life and watching my back at the same time."

"Di!"

A loud sound of a cup being smacked on the table came as Olivia tries to get their attention. "I came in here out of respect for the three eyed raven. If you must speak, say something constructive or don't speak. My brother doesn't need your tongue intack to send you to the battlefield." Olivia spoke words that silenced the crowds without standing up or even looking away from Bran.

An uncomfortable silence ensued for a full minute before Robb spoke. "Olivia, the North will fight alongside you in the battle to come. We need to know you have a firm hand on the wildlings before we do." This statement is supported by the other lords.

"Why are you coming North? If the knight king makes it south then who will protect your families here when you are too busy being part of the dead army?" She asked Robb as king, he frowned hearing her.

"Do you intend to fight the army of the dead by yourself?" Robb felt his annoyance increase.

"Of course not, I have an army and a little more help. You will be there to add numbers and that is the last thing we need when dealing with such an opponent. Stay here, set traps and host the battle against the night knig but only if I am dead."

"Bang!" The chair Robb was seated on fell as he stood abruptly. He pulled her out side roughly, anger premiered from his evry step.

The surprised Olivia let him drag her along stupefied. When they got outside he shoved her forward in anger but she just stumbled a little and then stabilized herself.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! You want to take on that many dead people all on your own, just to prove what exactly?" The eyes are blazing with anger but Olivia is un impressed.

"This is to minimize the losses plus I have an ace up my sleeve. More people will just get in the way." She looked at at certain direction and two large dragons flew over the castle. They roared loud making the ground vibrate.

One white one black, they circled the Winterfell castle a couple of times before diving down simultaneously making the people who had come out to watch run in all directions. The two descended while their size became smaller until they fell on top of Olivia. One on the head the other on her arms.

Their domineering roars have turned into soft cries. Robb seemed stuck in stupid mode until Olivia coughed. "This is Morpheus, this is Aeryn say hello." The two flew around Robb but did not touch him. Olivia saw that they are now surrounded by the people trying to get a better look.

Arya and Rickon ran in like two spear heads. They tried to pat them but Aeryn almost bit off Rickon while Morpheus readied a fire attack.

"Okay no touching or patting of any kind. They will turn your hand into dust." The two jumped away with reluctance.

"Now what do you think?" She asked Robb.

"You have dragons, do you know what this means?"

"I have more fire to burn the dead?" She answered but feeling like he has another answer. Robb just smiled hearing her answer. A helpless smile as if a child he doesn't know what to do with.

"In any case It's best if you stayed here at Winterfell where you belong and I will defend my home and claim it as my own."

"Fine. I will stay here but you can ask anything of me."

"I want your prisoners. Let them fight and earn their freedom. If they survive they can go, otherwise they will be too dead to care."

"No." Robb didn't even think about it.

"Come on Robb. The Greyjoy has already paid for his transgressions and that other one has no need here. He is a good swordsman I could use a man like him up there." Olivia said while the others waited on their king's decision.

"You are right." Olivia smiled like a blooming flower hearing his words.

That was just something to ask that she hadn't planned for she searched for Bran leaving the crowd she found him in god's wood.

"What's wrong three eyed crow?" She asked him with a smile.

"I was ready to send my brother out there to fight those things without a second thought." He turned to look at Olivia with a strange smile. Olivia can see his inner turmoil with a glance.

"I don't think I am the same anymore. All this knowledge, it's chipping away at my humanity. The more I see, the less I care."

"Which is more important to you. Bran? Do you want the Knowledge or your emotions and being able to feel human?"

"I have to track the night king. I am the one who can predict his movements, if I am bad at my job people will die."

"People will die anyways Bran, let me help you with some wisdom. Don't make a decision that you will not be able to live with when all of this is done. Your part is important but it's hardly the only way for us to find the bastard."

"Thank you. You are a good sister. I know you don't want to find out but your mother was Lyanna Stark, your father was the Targaryen prince who had supposedly kidnapped her back then. They married and had you. Apparently they were in love. The Citadel should have the records of the annulment of his marriage to the Dorne princess and his vows with aunt Lyanna."
