IT'S HERO TIME!!!

14th NOVEMBER,2003

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

"Goddammit! These things just don't give up huh?" a man shrouded in green glow cursed as he flew through the air turning a sharp turn by the edge of a skyscraper whose glass panes reflected him being pursued by five humanoid beings who relentlessly kept firing projectiles towards the man.

As he soared through air weaving and dodging at impossible speeds, he noticed a girl crying by debris in the middle of the road trying and failing to pull on something, as he neared the girl he fell from the sky did a roll and skidded to a halt, back facing towards the girl. He was finally able to tell it was a person rather than a thing that the little girl was trying to pull through a tiny opening in the debris covering the said person. He was able to hear the person sobbing and telling the girl to leave her there and run, the girl refusing to do so, crying, closed eyes and tugging on the person's arm trying to get her out. The girl stopped crying to look at him and he gave her his biggest reassuring smile and said with confidence "It's gonna be okay, I'm here to help you."

The girl sniffling asked "Really?"

"Really."

He scanned them just to make sure there's nothing else wrong, the lady presumably the girl's mother just had her ankle swollen probably from being under constant pressure from the debris trapping her foot and both the girl and the mother were dehydrated no doubt from the crying, who knows how long they were here.

He saw the robots land on the ground a few feet away from them, he conjured a green dome around the debris and the little girl as not to disturb the debris and injuring the person further.

They immediately fired upon them, he formed a green shield to block the attacks and did a green slash attack that took down two of the big dum dums but the rest dodged. Two ran upto him, first one punching, he parried the punch and kicked the second one in the chest throwing it to the third one colliding, then he took to the air punching first one in the back, arm passing right through it, he expanded the the green film covering his arm ripping it apart. The other two rushed towards him, one flying from above and the other straight to him, he projected a giant fist catching the one coming from above and smacking the other one and again and again and again till both are nothing but squished mush.

"Haaa....needed that and now the girl" He turned around and approached a terrified and wide-eyed girl staring at him. He deactivated the dome and analyzed the debris hoping to avoid any further injuries to the mother. He shot two beams towards the base to circumvent any debris sticking together, then he formed two hands and started lifting the debris up slowly, while he was doing that he failed to notice one of the bisected robot moving towards them. The robot coming into lunging range, lunged forwards pushing off the ground by hands clawing at the unprotected back of the man, the girl was the first to notice and started screaming, just as it was reached the man a red blur passed by and with it the robot vanished, the girl stopped screaming and looked around astonished.

Setting the mother down near the daughter he smiled as they hugged "Oh my baby! My sweet little baby! Are you alright? Does it hurt anywhere?" She spoke as she begin to look for any injuries, then she turned towards him and began to thank profusely "Thank you! Thank you so much!"

"Haha No need to thank me, it is my duty after all" He heard a whoosh, he looked to the side and spoke to the person who had appeared out of thin air in a red suit and was sporting a friendly smile "I had it handled you know."

"Sure you did, I just lent a hand to further handle it"

Shaking his head he turned to the mother and told "Ma'am this is not as safe zone as you can see, if you would allow it my friend here would take you to a safe zone where you and the girl will be safe and you would receive medical treatment." the mother nodded, the man in red suit lifted her in a princess carry and the girl on his back, the girl turned towards him and asked "Hey Mister! who are you?"

He gave her a bright smile and answered "I am Green Lantern, at your service anytime" he gave her a dramatic little bow, the girl giggled and spoke "Can I become like you when I grow up?"

"Of course, you just have to will it." the girl gave him a sweet smile and nodded. The man in red suit seeing that his chance to speak is clear spoke hurriedly "Hey man, the civilians have all been evacuated out of the city, the others have pulled all the aggro to them, they are at the northside. I will meet you there, be back in a flash." with that the man blurred out of vision kicking up dust in Green Lanterns face.

*COUGH**COUGH*

"Tsk, showoff" Green Lantern began to ascend in the air and took off towards where Flash told him others were "wait what did he mean by others ?" he asked no one in particular as he flew at hypersonic speed.

(SCENE)

BRONX,NEW YORK

A robot crashed into a building with it's entire right side missing and exploded destroying an entire floor with itself. From above you could see a man in blue suit with red trunks and a red cape flying around punching robots sending them crashing on the ground where multiple people could be seen fighting, a man in black suit with bat symbol and black cape threw multiple devices at the robots which stuck and exploded, a man in orange scale-mail tunic and dark green leggings pushed his trident through a robot tossing it at a robot in the air which was about to attack the man in blue suit, a woman in strapless red bustier held up by a brace of gold resembling two W's and red boots was cutting through robots with her two handed broadsword in one hand and a golden lasso in other using it to seize one of the robots in the air yanking it towards her decapitating it and lastly a green-skinned humanoid who had his arm elongated trapping two robots by coiling it around them and crushing them.

As the man in blue tackled a robot aiming for the head of the man in black his eyes lit up with power as he unleashed two beams of such intense heat that tore through the flying robots like hot knife through butter. The others finished the remaining robots and gathered around the man in black suit, the green-humanoid went first "It is an honour to fight amongst you, my people call me Martian Manhunter and I hope to face this adversity alongside you"

"Well spoken Martian Manhunter, it is indeed an honour to fight alongside such fine warriors" loudly spoke the man in orange scale-mail "I'm Orin, King of Atlantis but you may refer to me as Aquaman"

The woman spoke up "I'm Diana of the Amazons, you may know me as Wonder Woman"

The man in blue floated down hearing them introduce themselves "Hello I'm Superman" he gave them a friendly wave with a beaming smile.

The quartet then looked at the last man they had fought with, the man narrowed his eyes, seeing that the four supers were still looking at him he grunted "Batman"

"Can anyone tell me who is behind this?" Superman asked "I'm guessing aliens by the looks of it." he gestured towards three giant alien ships above The Empire state building.

"Who is behind them is of no importance" Aquaman said "What is important is how do we thwart this invasion, we do not know their full capabilities."

"I have a friend who might be able to help with those two questions" a man in red suit spoke appearing between Batman and Superman, Batman had tensed ready to attack but Superman just gave him a smile "Flash" "Speaking of which, that's him right there, he goes by Green lantern " Diana frowned a little at that information, Flash gestured downhill, Green lantern was flying towards them fast with hordes of robots chasing him.

Seeing that another fight was coming they all got into combat stances, Superman, Wonder woman, Martian Manhunter took to the sky and Flash blurred.

(One long ass fight scene later .... cause I didn't wanna write it down)

We could see parts upon parts of robots laying around, buildings on fire and broken, streets damaged and burning, the heroes huffing and puffing, suits torn except for Wonder Woman's, cuts and bruises clearly visible except on Superman and Wonder Woman.

"We need to recompose and plan." Martian Manhunter spoke " Some of us can't keep going forever." He gave a hard look at the flames surrounding them.

"There is an abandoned warehouse two miles east at the dock." Batman finally spoke.

"Good, let's go there." saying that Flash vanished and Batman and Aquaman were enveloped in a green ball.

(Scene)

In an abandoned warehouse on the port we can see the heroes 'discussing'.

"Well you lot are a colorful bunch" a high and mighty voice spoke which turned out Green Lantern.

"Can you not do this, please not now" Flash said as he got in front of Green Lantern, seeing that he backed away a bit.

"Speak. Flash said you might have some information on who we are dealing with here. Leave no detail." Batman ordered, Flash sighed at that, Green Lantern was immediately in the air with a giant green hand behind him "I would watch that tone buddy, I am an Intergalactic law enforcer I don't take orders from a fucking myth" Batman narrowed his eyes at him, hands reaching to his belt under his cape.

Seeing the tensions escalating Superman got in between with a easing smile " Hey hey guys let's ease up a little, we fought together doesn't that warrant a little trust? Why don't we deal with the alien robots first."

Hearing Superman both stood down, Green Lantern huffed "This is an invasion by Appellaxians. They are a race of energy beings who suck the life out of planets. The Green Lanterns have dealt with them before but not this late, firstly they send thousands of robots as cannon fodder to weaken the guarding force, if that isn't enough they have a special host body which takes- How many hours has it been since this invasion started?"

"Nine hours"

"they have special bodies that merge with the local elements of the world which takes thirty to thirty six hours to prepare-" they felt the ground shake violently, Batman's wrist computer beeped, he looked at it then in a grave tone spoke "There is a level five hurricane approaching east coast, an earthquake of magnitude eight under Manhattan and a category four hurricane coming from south and will be here in minimum twenty to thirty minutes."

"SHIT! shit shit shit " Green Lantern started to shout as he checked his ring "Ring battery life?"

[Caution: Ring charge under recommended threshold-33%]

"Shit!"

[Recommended to charge before further use]

"Shit!"

"Do you know the method to defeat them? You said you have defeated them before" Martian Manhunter asked but Green Lantern shook his head "Not me personnely, some other Green Lanterns and they did not defeat them they prevented them by thwarting them before they could reach the planet"

"What if we disable their ship?" Flash suggested Green Lantern considered "That could work but their ships are fitted with warp drives and trust me you don't want a warp drive to explode near a planet let alone three on a planet"

Some occupants looked down at the prospect of not being able to destroy ships. 

"Can they defeat them?" Batman asked as he looked at clearly heavy hitters present.

"If big blue here is what I think he is then sure no problem, but there comes the time constraint and these fuckers are elements embodied meaning theoretically they can form again and again" Batman gritted his teeth hearing that.

Green Lantern began to pace back and forth chewing on his thumb, he squatted down and began to mumble to himself. Just as Flash was about to check on him he suddenly stood up startling Flash " Fuck it let's do this, consequences be damned" He turned towards the others "We can win, I just have to get close enough to talk to them."

"What's the plan then?" Batman asked as he stared to gain answers.

"Honestly, It's a bit of gamble " Green Lantern said with a unsure smile.

Everyone quirked their eyebrow at that, Aquaman spoke up "We can't leave the fate of the world on a plan that may or may not work without knowing it would work"

"I am going to call THE HERO " 

All of them were sporting a confused look, Batman growled " What hero?"

Green Lantern looked seriously uneasy at that he formed a circular symbol with green hourglass figure.

"Ben Tennyson, HERO OF ALLWORLDS"

Sorry I thought of introducing the character by hype up scene and a peek into the future. I love hyping up my characters.

I upgraded the Appellaxians cause if they were original strength then the justice league would have taken care of them and I wanted to introduce mc to them where it would make a little sense, like invading aliens. 

Justice League could take them on but the death toll would be too high and these are young justice versions. I am still trying to powerscale things so...

If you think Hal's a dick, from what I have seen of him and heard he is a bit dickish, you want me tone it down just tell me.

Please advise me what I could improve plot wise.

P.S- Can anyone give me all the titles used for Ben and suggest me more like what do you think of "Gladiator of promise" (a little spoiler)
