Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

Chapter 28: 28 Perfect Wife!

Zombie Barbecue Party!

This kind of party is not something everyone can experience. Altair was fortunate enough to become the first person in this world to host such a party, and of course, he was also the only one enjoying it.

"Come, everyone, gather over here... "

Constantly calling out through the loudspeaker to the adorable zombies surrounding him, Altair then took a deep breath and exhaled flames, instantly incinerating the zombies in front of him.

He hadn't paid much attention before, but now that he looked closely, he realized how incredibly domineering his flames were.

Compared to a burning formula that merely charred the surface of the target, the flames from the Bear Power were a bit fierce; their high temperature immediately burned through the zombies' bodies. Even though they were zombies, they still had the physical strength of a human body, and the flames melted them on contact. This heat was so intense that it could be used for steelmaking!

Speaking of which, Altair had no intention of making steel.

Previously, he had dismissed his skills as useless in the dungeon, but now, while clearing out zombies, they turned out to be surprisingly useful... environmentally friendly and non-polluting, simply fantastic!

After the zombies burned, the ashes and skeletons piled up on the ground, quickly forming a small mound, and Altair didn't want to stand in one place for too long.

So, he decided to record a message for the loudspeaker, playing it on a loop while dancing around to attract more zombies.

Compared to zombies in other worlds, those in the Highschool of the Dead were significantly weaker. In contrast to the zombies in Train to Busan or World War Z, who could parkour and were practically professional athletes, the zombies here could only jog at best. Altair didn't need to worry about being surrounded instantly; he could just take his time moving around.

Using Minami's villa as his focal point, Altair continuously circled around, gradually distancing himself from the villa while cleaning up the attracted zombies. As a result, there were charred skeletons and ashes littered all over the surrounding area within a kilometer.

He kept burning until nightfall. After his last round without encountering many zombies, he finally stopped moving.

"Alright, it's time to head back for dinner. I haven't even had dinner yet; I've just been out here running around."

Altair quickly ran back in the direction he remembered, contrasting with his earlier leisurely pace; now, his legs moved like a flywheel, resembling something straight out of a cartoon. His speed soared to seventy kilometers per hour, sending ashes from burned zombies flying all around him.

Within a kilometer radius around the villa, there were no visible zombies remaining, though it was uncertain if any were hiding inside the houses.

Once he returned to the villa, Altair jumped over the wall into the yard and knocked on the door.

It was Saeko who opened it, still holding the wooden sword she had brought out earlier.

"Welcome back."

Upon seeing Altair, she immediately smiled.

"Um, did you prepare dinner? I've been outside running around and I'm starving."

"It's not ready yet, but I've prepared the bathwater. You can soak and rest a bit."

'I have to say, outside of combat, Saeko Busujima could be a perfect wife.'

"Well, that sounds great."

Soaking in a bath? Altair didn't have a habit of bathing; in the dungeon, he'd only had showers. However, he was looking forward to enjoying a soak.

Led by Saeko, Altair entered the bathroom, and she even helped him remove the light armor he was wearing.

"Please take your time; I'll go prepare dinner."

Goodness, such service is incredible!

Watching Saeko leave, Altair quickly washed up and then lay back in the bathtub filled with warm water that she had prepared. He had to admit, soaking was quite comfortable; it felt like a waste of water, and it took a long time to prepare, but now, without needing to do anything, just lying down and resting was a different feeling altogether.

One word... relaxing!

Lying in the bathtub, Altair began to contemplate his next actions.

Today was the first day; he had accomplished his goals, getting his two ex-waifus out of school and away from the main character's team, thus avoiding a heap of troublesome drama. The next step was to find a place for the two of them, but relying solely on them wouldn't work. He needed to find a location with more people to help ensure their survival, and then he would need to investigate the source of the virus outbreak and solve it to complete his mission of saving the world.

So, starting tomorrow, the mission would be to send them to a gathering area, preferably one focused on children and women.

Finding such a gathering area wouldn't be easy.

What a hassle.

Leaning back in the bathtub, Altair closed his eyes for a moment. Though today hadn't been too difficult, constantly moving around, especially in the afternoon, involved repeatedly gathering zombies and setting them ablaze, which could become monotonous over time.

Even though it was similar to grinding monsters in the dungeon, the key difference was that grinding in the dungeon gave experience points, while here, killing zombies didn't yield any.

Hmm, Altair hadn't realized this at first and thought he could gain experience by slaying zombies. With so many zombies around, especially in Tokyo, he figured he could rack up several tens of thousands in a single day, which would be incredibly efficient. However, during his downtime, he noticed a line of small text at the bottom of the mission interface.

[This world does not provide experience points.]

It was clearly targeting him! It was a deliberate warning that he couldn't grind for monsters in this world.

Splash...

After a while, not having a habit of soaking for long, Altair quickly got out of the bathtub.

In the living room, Saeko was cooking rice in the open kitchen, while Shizuka lay on the sofa watching TV, completely unconcerned about the zombie apocalypse.

Unfortunately, it was a pity that because Altair had been taking care of them on the way, they hadn't changed their clothes, so he couldn't enjoy the scene of Saeko in a nude apron.

Suddenly, Altair felt a bit cheated!
