Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

The shop's renovation would take a long time, especially since Hestia, upon learning that Altair had secured a shop, enthusiastically made numerous plans and decided to supervise the construction daily. With this level of enthusiasm, she wouldn't feel bored anytime soon.

After handing over the shop renovation responsibilities to Hestia, Altair and Saeko had new tasks to focus on.

Before the shop's grand opening, the Loki Familia was preparing for another expedition. According to their previous agreement, the Hestia Familia would join them in exploring the Dungeon.

The Loki Familia's expeditions had reached the 50th floor of the Dungeon, and their current exploration range extended from the 50th to the 60th floor. This was the deepest level Orario had explored so far.

After all, while the Freya Familia, one of Orario's two top familias, was also strong—even boasting the only publicly known Level 7 adventurer—they were rather lackadaisical when it came to expeditions. Freya was more interested in collecting characters she liked, and the Freya Familia's captain was fiercely loyal to her, willing to die without hesitation if she commanded it.

In essence, Loki played a strategic dungeon-crawling game. She was a power gamer who, while occasionally pulling for characters she liked, prioritized building strong teams to tackle the Dungeon.

Freya, on the other hand, played a gacha-style character collection game. She was more focused on her preferences, though she still cared about strength. As a wealthy spender, after pulling Ottar, her Level 7 adventurer, she focused on collecting new "husbandos" that matched her tastes.

Thus, when it came to expeditions, the Loki Familia was far more capable.

Of course, this also had to do with Finn's personality. Finn was ambitious, with grand aspirations of elevating the prum race, unlike Ottar, who would do anything to please Freya.

At the large central plaza in front of Babel, the Loki Familia was assembling.

"Look, look! The Loki Familia is mobilizing again."

"It's an expedition. They're about to embark on another one."

"They're so impressive. This is what a top-tier familia led by high-level adventurers looks like. Look, there are the three giants of the Loki Familia: Level 6 Finn, the 'Braver'; Level 6 Riveria, the 'Nine Hells'; and Level 6 Gareth, the 'Elgarm.' The three Level 6 adventurers of the Loki Familia!"

"No, no, you're way behind. The Loki Familia now has four Level 6 adventurers!"

"Four? Who's the fourth?"

"Level 6 Bete, who leveled up to Level 6 a month ago. The Loki Familia no longer has three giants—they have four!"

"You're the one who's behind, buddy. After Bete leveled up to Level 6, he changed his title."

"Changed it?"

"Yep. He's now called the 'Demon Wolf' Bete, and he has a new nickname: 'One-Kick Asura.'"

"What kind of nickname is that?"

"I heard it's because of a new super skill he awakened. He can supposedly kill a floor boss like the Goliath with a single kick."

"You're kidding!"

"This is the Loki Familia we're talking about. Do you think they joke around?"

The Loki Familia's top-tier fighters, the four Level 6 adventurers, stood at the forefront, basking in the admiration of the onlookers. Especially Bete, who, after becoming a Level 6 and joining the ranks of the Loki Familia's giants, was making his first public appearance in such a grand setting. The feeling of being the center of attention was... not bad.

However, soon the crowd's focus shifted from the four giants to the young women behind them: Ais, Tiona, Tione, and Lefiya.

After all, beautiful young women were more to the crowd's taste.

The Loki Familia's expedition team was now fully assembled, waiting only for the Hestia Familia to arrive.

As per the agreed time, Altair and Saeko arrived punctually.

Since this was their first public appearance on such a grand stage, Altair and Saeko had prepared accordingly.

Altair had polished his armor to a shine. He wore a blue inner garment reminiscent of Saber's outfit, paired with silver-white armor. The armor was adorned with electroplated patterns similar to Saber's, and he carried his Plasma Cutter and Beam Saber on his back. Fully armed, he looked every bit the knight, though his weapons were a bit unconventional.

Saeko, on the other hand, wore a black shihakushō (a traditional Shinigami outfit). Since Orario had Japanese gods, traditional Japanese clothing like kimonos existed. Saeko's personal style leaned toward Japanese aesthetics, so Altair had her switch out her combat outfit from the Highschool of the Dead world for this specially made shihakushō. This wasn't just for show—it was crafted from high-magic-resistance materials Altair had brought back from the Campione world. The outfit was inscribed with various magical formulas that, when activated with magic, would make it incredibly durable and capable of absorbing impacts.

With her purple hair tied into a high ponytail and the black-sheathed, purple-hilted Murasame at her waist, Saeko looked exceptionally striking in her black shihakushō.

"Captain Finn, we're not late, are we?"

"Not at all. You're right on time."

The leaders of the two familias immediately began conversing.

"During our last expedition, we encountered some unexpected issues on the 49th floor, which damaged our supplies and forced us to stop there. With your help this time, we should be able to reach the 52nd floor."

"That's great to hear. I'm also eager to learn more about the deeper levels of the Dungeon. I'll be counting on your guidance, Captain Finn."

"Of course."

The conversation between Altair and Finn caught the attention of the onlookers, sparking a wave of discussion.

"Who's that? He's talking to the 'Braver' like they're equals."

"I know him. He's the super rookie who recently became Level 2 and broke the record for the fastest Level 2 advancement in Orario's history. He's Altair, the 'Knight.'"

"The 'King of Knights'? Altair? Is that title for real? And his name sounds a bit odd."

"No, not 'King of Knights.' His title is 'Knight,' and his name is Altair."

Admittedly, Altair's title and name were easy to misunderstand.

"But as a Level 2, how can he talk so casually with a Level 6? Is he some kind of prodigy?"

"Don't you know? He and the woman beside him are from the Hestia Familia. He's the captain of the Hestia Familia."

"The Hestia Familia? Is that a thing?"

"How out of touch are you? The Hestia Familia is a newly established familia, but in just a few months, they've produced a Level 2 who broke records. They've also partnered with the Loki Familia to open a shop. And their only two adventurers were able to explore the 27th floor while still at Level 1."

"No way! The 27th floor?"

"People have been talking about it. The 'Sword Demon' and the 'Great Sword Man' from the 27th floor—they're those two!"

The Hestia Familia had initially been unknown, but Altair's rapid rise to Level 2 and the record-breaking advancement had brought them some recognition. However, their fame was still limited.

Today, with the Hestia Familia joining the Loki Familia's expedition and the news of their joint shop venture spreading, the Hestia Familia's reputation would soon spread throughout Orario.

As the crowd continued to discuss, Altair and Finn finished their conversation and began preparing to enter the Dungeon.

Altair's ability to easily join the Loki Familia's expedition wasn't just due to helping several of their main Level 5 adventurers gain new powers. He had also revealed his spatial pocket ability.

The ability to store an infinite amount of supplies was a dream come true for any large familia!

The reason the Loki Familia's expeditions were always limited was the finite amount of supplies they could carry. Once their supplies ran out deep in the Dungeon, they had no choice but to return to the surface.

Now, with Altair's spatial pocket, their supply issues were effectively solved.

In front of everyone, Altair stored all the Loki Familia's prepared supplies into his pocket.

Then Finn stood on a high platform and raised his spear.

"Expedition, begin!"

The first joint expedition of the Loki Familia and the Hestia Familia had officially begun.
