Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

Chapter 142: 142 News

Early the next morning, the entire Hestia Familia set out. Hestia and Saeko headed to the market to buy ingredients. Due to the Hestia Familia's frequent celebrations, their supplies were indeed running low quickly. Fortunately, all three of them had good appetites, so there was no waste. Hestia could eat a lot as long as the food was delicious. Saeko, after becoming an adventurer, had a significantly increased appetite due to training and combat, and she didn't have to worry about gaining weight. As for Altair, with his Tom's Body, he didn't even know how much food he could stuff into his stomach.

None of the three drank alcohol. Hestia would drink when hanging out with other gods, but when it was just the three of them celebrating, they didn't drink because Altair didn't like alcohol. So, Hestia followed Altair's preference and avoided alcohol during their private celebrations.

After leaving the familia's base, Altair went straight to the Loki Familia.

Nowadays, Altair entering the Loki Familia was like walking into his own home. Everyone in the Loki Familia knew him, and the higher-ups were especially familiar with him. The captains, vice-captains, and the main Level 5 fighters had all ventured into the Dungeon with him and even learned skills from him. At this point, his connection with the Loki Familia was so strong that he could practically claim to be a member of their familia.

Upon arriving at the Loki Familia, Altair handed out the magic phones he had prepared earlier and taught them how to use them. The Loki Familia members were immediately thrilled and started playing around with the phones.

In this world of gods and magic, while there were incredible magical abilities, there was no widespread, real-time communication magic like this. Therefore, the introduction of the magic phone was extremely well-received.

Altair also asked Finn to help find a suitable shop for rent or sale. To his surprise, Loki waved her hand and gifted him a shop located on the main street, owned by the Loki Familia. Altair accepted Loki's generosity but didn't take it for free. Instead, he proposed that the Loki Familia invest the shop as capital, making the magic phone business a joint venture between the Hestia Familia and the Loki Familia.

Loki didn't mind and agreed to Altair's proposal.

Altair was absolutely certain that the magic phone would become a huge hit once released. The reactions from the Loki Familia members were proof enough. Especially since Altair hadn't even introduced the phone's additional features yet. After all, you had to squeeze the toothpaste bit by bit to make more money.

However, the popularity of the magic phone would also attract attention from all sides. With so many familias in Orario, you couldn't guarantee that every one of them would act rationally. There would always be some familias with less-than-stellar judgment who would cause trouble, even if they couldn't win against you. They'd still find ways to be annoying.

So, partnering with the Loki Familia would save the Hestia Familia a lot of trouble, especially since the Hestia Familia was so small.

While Altair could have chosen not to partner with the Loki Familia and simply asked for their help, doing so would mean owing them a favor. Currently, the Loki Familia was in debt to the Hestia Familia because Altair had helped several of their members improve their abilities, effectively putting them in his debt.

If Altair let the Loki Familia repay their debt too easily, it would be a loss.

Therefore, by partnering with the Loki Familia, any trouble caused by other familias would be handled by the Loki Familia without Altair owing them anything. After all, this business was now a joint venture.

The partnership with the Loki Familia went smoothly. After Loki agreed, Finn began discussing the details with Altair. The shop itself wasn't worth much, but Altair planned for a long-term partnership, so he offered the Loki Familia 20% of the shares. This was a significant portion, especially for a company with unlimited future potential. These were essentially founding shares.

However, in a world of swords and magic, who knew what could happen? The stability of capital wasn't guaranteed. Even the mighty Zeus and Hera Familias had been driven out of Orario by Loki and Freya. So, 20% wasn't too much.

After finalizing the agreement, Altair took Finn to inspect the shop. Once they confirmed the location, Altair checked the layout to see where he could place the communication base stations. The magic stones he had obtained from defeating Goliath were perfect for powering the base stations. Half of the magic stones would be used to supply energy to the base stations, which could operate non-stop for a full year at full power.

As for the shop's renovation, they would need to hire craftsmen to handle that. Altair planned to let Hestia oversee the interior design and layout according to her preferences. She would undoubtedly love this arrangement.

After receiving the shop's deed and keys from Finn, Altair returned to the familia's base. Hestia and Saeko had already returned and were at the entrance.

The two had brought back a cart full of ingredients from the market and were now unloading them. Altair found the sight a bit exaggerated.

But considering the familia's frequent celebrations, it made sense. They would celebrate today, and once the shop's renovation was complete and it opened for business, Hestia would definitely want to celebrate again.

In fact, they might even celebrate twice: once to invite the gods who came to support them, and another for a private celebration within the Hestia Familia. The ingredients they had bought might not even be enough.

Altair could already imagine Hestia's smug face when the shop opened, showing off her new venture. He could even picture Hephaestus, her friend, wanting to punch her for being so cocky. Loki would probably be there too, and the two of them might end up causing a scene in front of everyone.

Just thinking about it made Altair laugh. He couldn't help but chuckle as he walked over.

"I'm back."

"Oh, Altair! You're back! Saeko and I just got here too. We're unloading the stuff. Come help!"

"Sure, I'm coming!"

Altair laughed as he went to help, carrying the items from the cart to the kitchen. As he worked, he kept imagining Hestia's antics during the shop's opening and couldn't stop smiling.

Hestia noticed Altair's inexplicable laughter and couldn't help but ask, "Altair, what's going on? Why are you so happy? Did something good happen outside?"

"Yes, something good happened."

"Tell me, tell me!"

"Nope, not telling."

Altair dropped that line and then carried the items into the kitchen.

"Huh? Why won't you tell me?"

Hestia was stunned for a moment, then immediately chased after him. She jumped onto his back, wrapping her legs around his waist like a koala and hugging his neck.

"Tell me, Altair! What's the good news?"

"Hahaha, not telling."

"Tell me, or I'll bite your ear!"

"No, I won't tell."

"Chomp!"

"Ahhh~ Stop it, Hestia. That tickles."

"Hehe, see if you'll tell me now. If you don't, I'll keep going."

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you. On my way back just now..."

And so, Altair ended up carrying Hestia on his back with one hand while moving the items. Saeko, who didn't talk much, quietly helped carry things nearby, occasionally glancing at the two. Unlike Hestia, she wasn't one for excessive chatter.

And Altair, as if sensing Saeko's gaze, would always look back at her and smile warmly.
